Yamu recommend this book, and it's a great read, with many tips for approaching chi and chi practice. Dr. Chow's methods/instructions are a little unusual in my reading, but align closely with my own experience of chi, so of course I like the book. I reread periodically, simple as it is, and find new aspects to appreciate.

Available really cheap used on Amazon too.

it's a great book. Well worth reading, and a breath of fresh air in the world of 'pop' qigong books as i shows a different way, understanding and approach to qigong.

I love Dr Chow's progression in his treatment and teachings, he comes across as a very skilled and knowledgable man. I have to say, that although aware of the title for years, i'd ignored it as 'just another Castenada style apprentice' book. But it's not. And you at least know the teacher is real!!

Best,

In this book Meech mostly describes his experience with the energy as quite pleasant. But at one point in his training, the circulation of the chi becomes painful, especially at the sites of old injuries. Dr. Chow explains that the energy is working through blocks and systemic damage. When asked how long that might continue, Dr. Chow replies that it depends on how blocked Peter is, depends on his body. The painful circulation goes on for some time, until one day, it just stops, and the energy then spreads "ravenously" to every cell in his body. Peter has achieved the macrocosmic orbit.

Has anybody else had the experience that circulating the chi, which has otherwise been wonderfully pleasant, suddenly becomes consistently painful?
