Softly Seeking Shen

Hello All

Recommended Posts

I confess to lurking here for some time after this forum was recommended to me. I hope at some point that I can contribute to the discussion but I am very much in a listening mode for now. The level of the discussion is excellent and the knowledge exchanged is a credit to both the experience and good faith shown by the members.

I have had an interest in the martial arts for many years. I began in a hard style Karate form after a foundation in western boxing and then was ultimately able to find instruction in Yang Tai Chi. I was accepted and studied with Mr. Robert W Smith in Washington DC from 1975-1980. In addition to Yang Tai Chi I received instruction from Mr. Smith in Pa-Kua and Hsing-I. I have a current interest in the Flying Phoenix Qigong System and hope to correctly further my practice and knowledge of this wonderful system. Thank you

Hello Softly Seeking Shen, and welcome to the forums!

Glad you found your way to us. There's no pressure on anyone here to participate, but feel free to jump in wherever you like. That's an interesting history you posted, thank you :-)

Please take the time to read the two posts pinned at the top of this Welcome page and take a look at the forum terms and rules. This covers all you need to know when getting started.

For the first week you will be restricted to ten posts per day but after that you can post as much as you like. Also, until you’ve posted fifteen times in the forums, you’ll be a “Junior Bum” with somewhat restricted access and will be allowed only two private messages per day.

Good luck in your pursuits and best wishes to you,

SC and the TDB team
