  1. Japan anime crossovers

You nailed it ! So the doctor is deliberately stopping the bad energy entering himself . He is using magic to make it pool in the external beads he wears . That's another nail in the Japan anime crossovers 'philosophy' coffin .
  2. That's cool and I don't want to name mine for various reasons . The reason I asked is it read like you had tried doing banishing rituals for the (supposed ) effects you where criticizing and I wanted to say ... that ain't it and people should not teach you that - but now, it seems you understand . Try reading the clinical paper from Dr VanDusen I linked to above . You might find it , at least, interesting . Also the Doctors research and clinical trials support our theory about 'light' / 'higher' beings / even 'higher order of hallucinations ' ( as the research was on medical clinical level .... the patients might call them demons , the doctor calls them hallucinations ) YET as they observed a 'higher' order ( helpful ) 'hallucination' can dispel a 'lower order' (and harmful ) 'hallucination' . People have even done this with 'incurable disease ' ; meditate on ( imagine ) inside you the disease is an army of dark warriors, your anti bodies are powerful white knights on white horses, they go into battle and you watch the good guys defeat and vanquish the bad .... and in some cases , the patient gets over the disease.
  3. I must still be confused as now it seems like you are saying a banishing ritual is ... sort of like..... an exorcism ... a 'casting out' or removal of something or energy and not a process where light is bought in to illuminate ? After studying the process more its not the case ... and few well known people in magic have affirmed that . Thin of what you are doing at the very first stage of an LBR . However there can be a 'cleaning process ' which is based on BALANCING the energies . That is not what is supposed to be happening in a banishing ritual .... unless its at the end of a larger ritual and is part of the ' license to depart ' . As I said above , a banishing ritual SHOULD BE about invoking light ... again look at how it starts . The rest of it is balancing energy . However in people that feel and act like they are demon possessed ( and don't think exorcist .... think professional and ' clinical trials ' evidence * ) attracting / invoking a higher 'light' / presence / force / dirty will dispel the 'demon ' . Its basic 101 in magical and Theistic Psychology * https://www.theisticpsychology.org/books/w.vandusen/presence_spirits.htm Well, I am more in the modern 'magical psychology' camp and I have actually been abused here for that and not affirming that it IS outside forces . I work more of an 'internal system' . But, like most things, both possibilities might be possible . We get 'invaded' by cold and flu bugs all the time but we don't always get sick .... unless the get a hold on us . I know a few very vital healthy people , every time a bug comes along , they got it. . That is why I do not study Hermetics but study Neo-hermetics ... that is why any 'banishing ritual' I do has been changed and updated to suit me and my environs ( but don't do that unless you actually know what the original is for and how it works and you have experience with the original ). yes, I often put down those 'Post Victorian Occultists ' even the tradition , some of it is rife with racism and sexism , and some of their theories are based on that . It also contradicts what an LBR is supposed to be doing ... even according to Crowley . What banishing rituals did you practice that where supposed to be doing that ? It's all become very mystical ... originally darkness was an issue as there where things in it that might harm you , either nocturnal animals but mostly because you cant see very good and identify danger . It's a carry over . Nah , I would not use that as any reference either . I would use a Bible based one if I was going to "and then ask '' ..... something like hmmmmm ... lets see now ... Matt 8: 28 -34 , Mark 5 : 1 - 17 .
  4. Do people truly have free will?

And the response I am supposed to give to that is ; Love is the Law, Love under Will I knew a woman that absolutely hated that saying , I had to ask why . Her; " Because after years of putting up with my boy friend I finally woke up to myself and got rid of that arsehole ! " Me ; " ... what's that got to do with it ? " Her ; " His name is Will. "
  5. Well, it just a bit of history tracing the idea that the seals mentioned (opening seals) in Revelation is symbolic of 'opening chakras' . With many of these post Victorian 'spiritualists' and the like ( people like Blavatski as well) they often shared their visions trances and realizations ... one would have one , and if it became fashionable and in vogue , then others would have them too . Same thing happens today . In some cases they are in conflict though and form different 'schools' of thought on the matter. Back then , if you wanted popularity followers or even 'cred' best to vision/ channel / trance / get a message from 'Masters' / etc better to include some pyramid Atlantis stuff and bit of good old fashioned racism Thing is , with 'trance' one can be experiencing and saying (or writing ) anything from anywhere or anyone . Magick requires a recognized source and that is tested before any validity is given ..... unless one 'chooses' to give faith and trust to the 'seer' and just assumes it will always be from ..... well, what source ? Did Cayce give a source ? or was it one of those ' akhisic records ' ?
  6. Stranger things

Wow , I watched it at slow speed . Bob got some fast reflexes and snappy footwork going there !
  7. Do people truly have free will?

Well, maybe in Portugal . Here we gotta pay for it !
  8. Do people truly have free will?

He seems to think (and this is fairly standard ) that God gave man free will to decide to be obedient to God or not but if he is not obedient God will punish him with eternal damnation . And he thinks , somehow, therefore that if you don't agree with this (him actually ) its proof that you " hate God" . Seems to me HE hates the idea he has been infected with and is projecting it out . This 'theological point ' reminds me of one of the many great episodes in the story 'Man Friday' - the Robinson Crusoe story with a VERY different twist ; this version is told by Friday and its VERY different . At one point 'Master ' ( Crusoe ) is arguing with Friday, this time Friday doesn't want to give in . Master gets frustrated and puts a pistol to Fridays head and threatens to blow his brains out .. Friday ; " Okay Okay calm down, I will do what you say ." and Crusoe responds with the wonderful line " There ! Now, you see how much easier everything is when we co-operate with each other ! " Nothing like having a free choice eh ? Another answer is God does have a lot to do with Free Will as Free Will is the thing we give up to follow Gods will . But how do we know what God's will is ? I suppose the church and priests 'help' us with that one But not in this case . besides , not even he himself is clear on what he is saying . But that doesn't matter as he clearly said previously he is deliberately writing rubbish here .
  9. Do people truly have free will?

No thanks .... from a deliberate act of will I have eliminated hate from my repertoire . and I am not surprised that to bolster and try to authenticize your 'gnosis' you cite .... Paris Hilton . here is some other great advice from her , maybe you will adopt this too ?
  10. Stranger things

    More snake news . I was working yesterday cleaning out the shed and throwing stuff out on the driveway. Occasionally some big huntsman spiders would run out of it . One of the locals , a kookaburra, had himself perched on a nearby branch and was swooping down to get them . One time I nearly tripped over him , I walked out and he swooped by low, his wings brushing my shins This is rather common , they get attracted by digging, work or anything that disturbs the ground . ( Local tells me he was digging a hole , kookaburra kept jumping in for worms and getting in the way , he wouldn't get out at one stage ; " I had to get the shovel under him and lift him out ! " ) Another time I wrote here about one swooping me and landing near my feet and pinning a black snake to the ground that was coming towards me that I had not seen . Good boy ! Anyway, I went out and lifted up a sheet of plastic weed suppressant and there was a long thin snake under it . Probably a green tree snake ? . Kooka was on the roof , so I called him and he looked , I had a long stick and put it next to the snakes body and flicked it onto the drive . He immediately went for it . I have seen this a few times , snakes are part of their common food ; they usually dive in and with their big beak strike it behind the head and start smashing the head into the ground and thrashing it about , sometimes rather big snakes too . Not this time , I never seen this before . Snake put up a ferocious fight , kooka couldn't seem to control it , at one stage they where rolling around on the ground, kooka on its back . I thought I saw the snake strike him . That was enough , he backed off. Snake was there glaring at kooka on one side and me on the other . Me ; "Okay you win . " I let snake get back under weed mat . Kooka looked a bit stunned and flew up onto a branch . I kept my eye on him for a while , he seemed okay . Never seen a kookaburra snake fight like that before . They usually don't loose ( this one is a red belly black snake - aggressive and highly venomous ) ;
  11. Do people truly have free will?

Indeed ! Its always good to define terms before a discussion . The issue is there is more than one function in the psyche that comes under the poor English language word 'will' . The same applies to 'soul', 'spirit', and many other 'spiritual terms ' . English is useless in that area .... that's why it has adopted terms from other languages ; HIndi, Pali . Also in psychology , a few instances it has even borrowed from German . We might be better served to list the types of will. Then anyone with serious inquiry might understand what some are talking about here . Well, without defining soul ..... that is one type of 'will' . I have extensive posts on it scattered about . The earliest religious concept of it seems to be recorded in the Zoroastrian Avesta and commentary under the term 'Khvarenah ' The instincts are coupled with the 'animal will' . Its a 'lower type' but of course essential . Like we have a 'hind brain ' and 'neuro somatic' (or 'reptilian consciousness ' ) . I would not describe this type as 'free will' though . . .it is highly and deeply programmed . That is .... that program come written at birth ... it is not one of those programs that are 'to be written ' ( see 'Exo-psychology' ) . Higher aspects of 'will' are probably more centered on (note : not 'in' ) the forebrain and neo-cortex and linked through the sahasrara 'gate'. Well, one of the highest forms of will; as in 'true will' and 'khvarenah' we come 'pre-loaded' with . This does not mean it will be obvious or even discovered by the individual , but also many are born 'instinctively' knowing what their true will is . A simple way of describing this 'will' is to imagine it is the particular path and purpose one chose before our incarnation. To be not on that path, will of course cause (eventually) deep spiritual purposelessness , lack of direction and meaning in life ( " What is life for , why am I here ? etc . ) alienation and depression ..... and eventually a very sick society . Conversely , when enough members of a society do it, its a better society . This was in the original teachings and they talked about a 'golden age ' where society and people became like this ; the origin of religious teachings about 'paradise' ( which actually means 'nice garden ' ; para diz . The correct term for this enlightened society is ' frashokereti ' and those so enlightened as ' sayoshant'. of course it all got turned 'religious' with an interpretation moving towards some triumphant single sayoshant' ('savior' ) coming and 'magically' creating (or through 'magical war' a new society ('New Jerusalem ' ) . All concepts that influenced further development in Judaism, Christianity and Islam . Just to be clear here I am talking about the earliest form , not the later devolved forms . Actually, all this existed before Zoroastrianism even came about . I have posts on here tracking the early development from Ice age refugia (probably Lake Baikal ) and spreading out at the end of the Ice Age ( Big Melt ) , into Central Asia where teachings then traveled west (Zoroastrianism to reform 'Pairo-tkeisha religions ) and east (into Tibet by 'Miwoche - The Central Asian Buddha , to reform Bon . I'd say sometimes we can act independently through will , but most of the time we don't -even when we think we are
  12. Do people truly have free will?

Can't argue with that one .... as its prefixed by "I think " . However, if you ever decide to look further beyond that , try looking into the origins of pastoralism . Ummmm ... yeah . Apparently some even do that deliberately . Hate ? Again ? With your other posts ?
  13. Do people truly have free will?

No . Because me being 'your hater' is just another lame excuse for you not looking at the real reason I am asking you for any validity , citation or back up, regarding the rubbish you posted . No doubt you will consider this response is , as well, because I 'hate' you . Hate is a state of consciousness alien to me .... like lots of the states of human consciousness .
  14. Do people truly have free will?

Correct ...... but they listen to Lairg
  15. Do people truly have free will?

Ridiculous ! Does a cow blame you for eating it ? YOU having free will ... did you do evil in having chicken for dinner ? The shark 'cant help itself' for its natural food (virtually anything ) so therefore innocent , but a person with free will is not evil for eating the chicken ... or are they ? And if diet and free will and good and evil foods are 'a thing' how to explain this They all chose by free will to get obese and unhealthy .
