I don't know much about tantra, but aren't you confusing tantrics with a smaller group of aghoris?

They're not gone. If they were you wouldn't "want" them back, you would feel nothing.

Netflix? I think you can get a free month there and watch that and a couple of other interesting docs. edit: not 100% certain it's on netflix, since there was a lot of stuff removed from there. Maybe if someone who has netflix could verify this link? http://movies.netflix.com/WiMovie/Breaking_the_Maya_Code/70103857?locale=en-US

http://science.howstuffworks.com/life/human-biology/human-body-make-electricity.htm Probably not. Not atleast any I've read. This stuff is still relatively new scientifically.

If human "races" breeding would lead to mules we would be missing out on some great literature... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexandre_Dumas and music... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimi_Hendrix

Just today I saw a hooded crow, a pigeon and a bunch of european magpies playing (not fighting) ... so I guess it's not that black&white.

Why do we have such a hard time remembering our "dreams"? Shall we put effort into remembering? What benefit?
xor replied to 4bsolute's topic in General Discussion
I find it easy to remember dreams if I have an interest in them. One sure way to remember a dream or two a night for me is to read up on lucid dreaming. -
Platonism and Hellenistic Spirituality
xor replied to Zhongyongdaoist's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
I liked reading some Plato when I was a teen and later felt like I reached a dead end with him. I did like what you wrote on Mencius enough that I'll explore his writings soon so I'm wondering what you can do with Plato...- 9 replies

I watched this. The story about his traveling to Kashmir and being buried there was new to me, interesting.

Yes and that drug was considered toxic shortly after his death and discontinued... not that much mystery here like you say. Fact is many people die from painkillers. Many still seemingly fit. Overuse of painkillers is quickly rising today and so are deaths from them: http://io9.com/5919434/prescription-painkillers-now-the-leading-cause-of-accidental-deaths And those are just numbers where you can make the connection. Real numbers are higher.

The Bible is a mix of traditions. Genesis is from Sumerian tradition and the Book of Revelation from Gnostic one which has it's roots in the Egyptian.

You can define any action coming from yourself(or others) as selfish. Does that change anything or is it just a preference? -
basic is not always easy...

Yeah I didn't even consider you guys had previous history spilling into this thread. I tend to avoid new age because of alot of bold claims with proof that is weak or based on something I can't know if it's real. That said I've known some good people who were into new age...
