Do you disagree with these things then? Tree of Bad Manners al-ghadab – anger: considered the worst of all the negative traits. It may easily be said that anger is the source from which the others flow. The Prophet states in a hadith: "Anger (ghadab) blemishes one's belief." Controlling anger is called kāzm. al-hiqd – malice or having ill-will toward others; grows from lusting for what someone else has. You must replace hiqd with kindness and look upon your brother with love. There is a tradition that says "give gifts to one another, for gifts take away malice." edit: quoted from that wiki. I have no knowledge of this topic

Corrected my numbers, they were actually the same on that page as you posted. But you're right these numbers keep changing. I think the origin of the dark matter theory was that there seemed to be 399/400 parts of mass missing in a galaxy cluster. It now seems to astrophysicists "consensus" that 95% is "missing", it might be more or less depending on how equations work out.

According to this NASA webpage on astrophysics ca. 68%(edit: oops, corrected numbers) of the universe is dark matter, ca. 27% is dark energy, that would give us around 5% ordinary matter. This is what mainstream astrophysics says.

Do you believe in- and when do you think the actual shift will happen?
xor replied to 4bsolute's topic in General Discussion
For alot(most?) of people a dramatic shift would be a negative thing anyway. To have "knowledge" beyond capability to comprehend would be more like a curse for many. So hoping for some kind of mass ascension is not something that is natural for development. It's best to work from what we have now and keep less hope/fear to us. -
道教重要思想与教义(Taoist Important Thoughts and Canon)
xor replied to ChiDragon's topic in Daoist Textual Studies
Allright. I'll watch quietly then what you have to say. -
To get bad results, I don't think you need a high level, just enough to feel qi and try to force it to a new pathway it's not "supposed" to take. Forcing with intensity over a period of time.

Didn't someone quote Magus of Java saying JC sent level three students to China to look for others? So there were many above him if we believe that.

I'm no fan of drugs, but that's something a bit more than just acid.

道教重要思想与教义(Taoist Important Thoughts and Canon)
xor replied to ChiDragon's topic in Daoist Textual Studies
How about also doing translation from a site actually done by actual Chinese Taoists. There is a whole series on 內丹 on here for example(which I just noticed has been completely translated into English): http://daoinfo.org/wiki/%E5%BF%83%E6%80%A7%E5%91%BD There are other terms and information that haven't been translated yet... -
There may be a misunderstanding, I haven't done Stillness Movement. Apart from that I don't speculate on what my teacher might have been told. I gauge anyone on what he says by what he can demonstrate or in some cases if I have that experience he is talking about there is no need if I believe he can get there...

The reason why the "Mo Pai Yin qi" won't be accepted by folks is that the best theory for it comes from Kostas books which is second hand information fictionalised. I doubt the people of the lineage will come to enlighten us on it anytime soon. While JC may be impressive there is not even guarantee that we are talking about things as it's taught in Indonesia. The indoor students might even have vastly different ideas than were given to westerners.

Does Yin and Yang theory . . . actually make sense (?)
xor replied to Lataif's topic in Daoist Discussion
Many would want that to be true, but today most stuff humans do require quantum mechanics. Relativity can be very much a part of yin-yang. -
No. The whole thread is hard to follow.

MPG, I hope you're doing this as a joke...

This is... unreadable to be honest.

Just in case someone thinks mods here are bad guys, we're actually quite neutral as a group... just trying to keep things on a level that helps keep some quality to discussions.

道家修真理论(The Taoist Cultivation for the True Self)
xor replied to ChiDragon's topic in Daoist Textual Studies
So this is an online encyclopedia article about what today people think about taoist cultivation in China mainland and not a taoist text. -
道家修真理论(The Taoist Cultivation for the True Self)
xor replied to ChiDragon's topic in Daoist Textual Studies
Thank you for the translation effort ChiDragon, but is this where this text is from? It looks like a (mainland) Chinese wikipedia to me... I'm just learning Chinese not proficient so please be patient with my comment. 小说家 I also think here means something different than novelist? Maybe this 小說家 (諸子百家) / "School" of Minor-Talks. -
It seems your friends have been hurt by many practices it makes one wonder if you are just trying to create some propaganda to steer people off any practice.
-
Just because your friends did things wrong doesn't mean much. It is healthy when done right. Why are you always unnecessarily hostile? I hope you are not like this in real life.
