The fact that you persist in your mistaken view shows that you haven't received thogal or longde, practices where is very clearly laid out what is a vision and what is not. I will give you an example. For a beginner some visions that arise are somewhat similar to the ones ordinary people see when looking up in the sky, those tiny luminous sparks which are moving in all directions. These visions that look somewhat similar , have different characteristics;they appear a little while later, they are milkier, they appear two or three together, and they are stable(initially staying for 5-10 seconds). In the same beginning stage one will start seeing half or fully formed circles big as 3 or 4 inches across or as big as food plates.Initially they are however unclear. When one goes to sleep and closes his eyes if one focuses gently behind the eye lids with the view to connect to and rest in nature , multiple beautiful concentrical five coloured thigles will start manifesting , and so on. As the practitioner progresses these visions will appear ordinarily without the need for the sky as the support. They will appear when sitting, drinking coffee, talking to people, walking down the street, etc....

Floaters are not visions. floaters. (Also called vitreous floaters.) Particles that float in the vitreous and cast shadows on the retina; seen as spots, cobwebs, spiders, etc. Occurs normally with aging or with vitreous detachment, retinal tears, or inflammation.

Nope... They are not vissions.

Anyone who received thogal and longde instructions knows that the vissions arising from one's nature are nothing like the chaotic tiny light spots people see when looking at the sky. Those true visions will arise regardless of the support.

What is the difference between Dzogchen, Zen and Anapanasati?
Anderson replied to taoguy's topic in Buddhist Discussion
I respectfully disagree. In dzogchen there is no need to generate anything artificial. For example in the practice of guru yoga as taught by CNNR, which if practiced enough leads to the discovery of one's nature, there is no consideration whatsoever of whether one should generate bodhicitta, cultivate virtues or have a proper motivation,All these are only relevant on the lower paths. If one knows one;s nature and rests in that all these virtues, motivations are naturally accomplished since they exist in potentia within our nature. They do not need to be cultivated anew, since cultivation comes from misunderstanding the self perfected aspect of our nature This misunderstanding and partial view is common to the lower paths whether they be sutra mahayana or tantra. -

Ask on Vajracakra where there are people who know a thing or two about dzogchen. Especially Malcolm. -
Illusory appearances, as groundless self-liberated dharmakaya, manifest although non-existent, similarly to reflections in a mirror. Pure Presence Itself functions like the surface of the mirror. All reflections which appear through multiple conditions simply appear in Presence, but do not originate from Presence. Appearing, they do not at all condition Presence. Reflections in the mirror are simply the manifestation of circumstances. Even if something manifests in the mirror, it is just an appearance which is not really there. Thus, illusory appearances in Presence do not really exist. Through the mirror-base of Presence Itself, there is enlightenment. When one understands the essence of the manifestation base of everything, which apprehends unceasing reflections, one is freed from grasping the forms. Therefore, illusions do not manifest from Presence. What appears to be illusory is nothing other than Presence. Thus the essence of illusory appearances is Presence Itself. If one understands these marvelous appearances of bondage and liberation where bondage and liberation do not really exist, one transcends all bondage and liberation. Comments please...

Dzogchen and Brahman....Same or Different?
Anderson replied to stefos's topic in Buddhist Discussion
to truly know whether dozgchen is same as or different from brahman one would have to know one or the other experientially. -
The three realms and meditative quiescence, psychic powers.
Anderson replied to Tibetan_Ice's topic in Buddhist Discussion
You need a teacher who can explain this to you. Usually in the oral instructions there are a few details on top of the standard explanations which make all the difference with regards to the rising of potentiality from the heart. All i can say is that is to do with tension ,space and distance. If you dont know these details you wont see the radiance of your rigpa in the form of potentiality or visions. This is also related to transmission so when you apply these points you apply them in the context of transmission , you practice them in the context of your guru's mind and blessings. There is no progress without these. The points you are inquiring about are also explained very well in longde where one makes use of them in order to make the visions arising for the purpose of integration. -
General introduction to Dzogchen - Video

Siddharta Gautama Buddha did not teach dzogchen therefore in the context of dzogchen praxis this is not valid. In the context of dzogchen the sole point of reference is one's teacher. -

Reading through your posts i came to the conclusion that you are unbelievably ignorant when it comes to dzogchen. And now you have totally discredited yourself by commenting, reinterpreting and reinventing what one of the most well known dzogchen master's of this century and an authority on dzogchen had to say on the subject. -
Ani Chudrun: From Top Gear Presenter to Tibetan Buddhist Nun
Anderson replied to C T's topic in Buddhist Discussion
There was no message. Just irrational utterances based on projections and fantasies. So i decided that the messenger is not the real one and i've cut him down. -

The most direct training practice in Dzogchen
Anderson replied to Wells's topic in Buddhist Discussion
To summarize, if we do not understand that the whole of samsara and nirvana is the Rolpa (energy manifestation) of our vision, even if we declare that we have discovered our Rigpa, know that it does not correspond to the real meaning because Knowledge means understanding and having the certainty that samsara and nirvana in the absolute are the nature of primordial purity. And since the view is also nothing other than this be sure to ascertain this profound point! CNNr People who have this understanding they can be sure that they know what natural state is. After all natural state is not a fixed state based on mind, but is a state of knowledge which is dynamic. -

The most direct training practice in Dzogchen
Anderson replied to Wells's topic in Buddhist Discussion
It may be simple but is not easy. Not easy to discover. Obvious ? No, not at all."Obvious" means that is in front of you right now and that fact makes it EASY to see it or discover. Which of course it isn't, otherwise we wouldn't have thousands of practitioners struggling to get their heads around it and we wouldn't have mountains of secondary commentarial literature on the subject of natural state and how it can be discovered. -

Why do only very few Dzogchen practitioners attain rainbow body?

Some people here who've received teachings from the same teacher should bear in mind that they are vajra brothers. -
Why do only very few Dzogchen practitioners attain rainbow body?
Anderson replied to Wells's topic in Buddhist Discussion
Kyle, What would you think is the fault in his presentation here ? Becasue i've heard other teachers speak in these terms as well. -
Can this be accomplished in a 10-15 year thogal retreat ? I was thinking how would it be and what would it mean to prepare for the next 2 or 3 years for such a retreat . Ideally one would have to be very sorted physically and have a very strong understanding and confidence.

No...he doesn't have one. He has them all -
One of the problems is that he is creating his own language which i consider this being a direct result of his skewed and distorted understanding of the subject matter. If you are a dedicated practitioner you wouldn't reinterpret, reinvent, the teachings of your lineage and of your teachers out of humility and respect for their wisdom and efforts for preserving the transmission. But you can do freely and as you please any of the above if you dont have a teacher, dont belong to a lineage and humility and respect are none of your concerns.
