what is the translation of this title ÄryÄį¹£į¹asÄhasrikÄprajƱÄpÄramitÄpaƱjikÄsÄrottamÄ ?

In the Nyingma scheme Ati is the ninth path, the pinnacle of all training but its methods are different from those on the paths bellow which use transformation. Although the scheme seems gradual is not meant to be understood in that way since each path (approach) is independent from the other and can lead to total realisation. It's just that some paths are faster then others. So dzogchen has nothing to do with HYT .

When it comes to practice my own insights are my own alone and they are to be shared only with my teacher. When my own insights will reach full measure i will not have to explain anything to anyone because they will make their own nature known similar to water which always displays its quality as being liquid . My signature is a metaphor for rigpa being my only concern, specifically its stabilization and its integration.

It would be much better if you would go beyond concepts

Yeah... Simple_Jack stop giving us reasons to go off topic

Don't know. I just picked up on something someone said about this thing...

Hear that Jax ....? Third vission, nothing less...
-
No offence, but you seem to be very adept in lecturing everybody of how a dzogchen pracritioner should behave . Why dont you try to be less critical and follow your own advice ?

We are talking about scriptural proof where it says "garab dorje is a emanation of sakyamuni"
-
This is unclear. Because so far nobody could provide a definite scriptural proof that this is so, that is, Garab Dorje being an emanation of Sakyamuni...

CNNr explains tantra as a continuity or something which continues. With this understanding in mind dzogchen texts are called tantras because they are the word of the realized ones who've been transmitted in a continuous fashion from master to disciple . This character of continuity of transmission is what makes them tantras and not that , as some would have you believe , they are methods of transformation.
-
What i mean by direct looking is something like the method of G.Y. taught by CNNr where mind is only used very briefly and as a stepping stone . Methods where one passes very swiftly from mind to the nature of mind rather than methods that ascertain the view through ideas and various other types of reasonings...

You also say you practice thogal. Every teacher I know says that if one practices thogal while resting in rigpa there will be a progression through visions and if there is a progression that is a sign that everything is done right. They also say that the vissions will not develop beyond a certain point if one doesnt have transmission, proper instructions and a good measure of stability in rigpa. Is that how it happens for you ?

yeah...big words Jax... Usually these words have to go in line with the corresponding experiences ...

Initially i was siding with UTD. But these days i dont care anymore because i realized that even if you were chosen based on political considerations you are still gonna get the right training, care and highest education posible which in the end will produce a spiritual individual of the highest acumen.

like attracts like

yeah..it doesnt help...mixing views and such. Dzogchen is difficult enough on its own...
-
Source-DW. Here we have an example of typical twisted new age bullshit of someone who thinks they can improve dzogchen by mixing traditions and various other religious views and who in the same time think that what Jax does is all good and makes perfect sense.
-
He did it to himself. Seriously , you've been around long enough - i think- to know that those people who know a thing or two about dzogchen disagree with the secular way he tries to present dzogchen divorced from tradition and transmission.
-
Reputable people who respect transmission do not agree with Jax. You better wake up people ! You cannot teach dzogchen outside of transmission like you would teach nursery sutra bs...
-
How much do you charge for introducing people to dzogchen(cough..cough...delusion) ?

Interdependent Totality in Buddhadharma
Anderson replied to Simple_Jack's topic in Buddhist Textual Studies
Malcolm went back on his answers many times over the years. This however it doesn't mean that he was wrong in the past and he is right in the present. It could mean many things. -
I think you should be more careful who you listen to. In the dharma world what is of paramount importance is to judge people on individual basis and not based on their afiliations or friendships . If their thinking is in line with that of reputable people or sources but their actions are the opposite this can only mean that they are parroting what someone else has said .Personally i do not want to listen, read or engage someone , no matter how informative if they are abusive, disrespectful, to vajra brothers and sisters and who at the smallest occasion they jump onto those who know less and abuse them like there is no tomorrow. What is sad and somewhat difficult to comprehend is that Malcolm and others of his calibre are tolerating her abusive behaviour.Maybe because she is a scholar and she "knows stuff" ? I couldn't give a flying fuck about what "she knows" as long as she is disrespectful , abusive to others and doesn't hesitate to publicly break samaya whenever she has the chance to arrogantly use her corrupt knowledge.

The bon forum is pretty dead..

In your opinion do you think it possible that , having received introduction and practised a little, a practitioner while reading texts like, Kunjed Gyalpo, Marvelous Primordial State, or other descriptive pity instructions to have flashes of rigpa while reading, BASED on that reading ?
