  1. NEW FREE Mantak Chia Audio from Boston Seminar

Robert Anton Wilson's Illuminatus Trilogy has a great version of the balance of powers. Based on the dicordians symbol of yin yang with the pentagon and golden apple of discord. the opposites are the governments, big brother, exessive law and control as opposed to libertine, chaotic, anarchist etc. forces. the idea being the more control big bro exerts the more chaos will grow to counter balance and visa versa. this book has the best conspiracy theory model ive heard yet...... at least the most mentaly healthy i think.
  2. Green tea vs Black tea

o the strainer part..... i like to throw it in there and chew the occasional leaf my self but i know most folks dont like that. I am specifically thinking about the japanese cast iron tea pots ( http://www.holograms.bc.ca/tetsubin/tea-pots.htm ) as opposed to a chinese brass one like this ( http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/ta/ali...dao/3.21252.jpg ) one thing I am wondering is for whatever reason.... is one material better than the other. one reason could be like in chinese medicine you are not to brew herbs in metal.... but how about tea? and I would be steeping not brewing..... stuff like that. and another tea question... I have read some stories of hermits who brew a tea to help in meditaion but it never saus what it is. Is there one certain kind or various kinds? Herbal, Green, Black or mixed?
  3. Warrior Wellness vs 5 Tibetans

damn! I got that WW over a month ago and still haven't done any of it.... mainly because I watched it once and thot it looked like what we do in tai chi as warmups and other exercises..... so being pressed for time and realizing what a blessing to have in my teacher(s), and them being here live in the flesh, I thot to really focus on what they are giving me and advance as well as I can while I have this chance. then maybe dvds would be of some use..... but I am looking forward to the prasara one. I have done the 5t's and found them instantly effective.... and my opinion is to do whichever one draws you for a spell till the other one takes over or alternate days or do them both.... the 5 t's are short any way.

  7. Green tea vs Black tea

I am fixin' to get a fancy teapot and I was wondering what ya'll think would be best material wise between a japanese cast iron and a chinese brass tea pot..... it would be for black and green teas and not for herbs so...... I am curious about any input and information you have on teapots and materials and all that.

  9. Uncommon sense in the martial arts

wow! I have not checked out the HT board yet as its format is too scatter brained for me to even make time for..... but now after hearing that you can post only once a day I certainly will not check it out. I feel an oppressive feeling just reading your post here.... It makes me very happy to belong to more civilized and free sites such as this one. Now I could see if I posted a mass amount of nonsense here why sean might pm me and say, "hey just post relevant materials here" and I would think if I listened to his pm that it would cut most if not all of my posts.... and I can see why I would get booted if I continued to post tons of nonsense..... but if you post relevant posts why sould you be limited to only one a day..... can you have roll over posts from days you didn't post? What an odd condition to impose on a message board.
  10. The Dialogue Method

about a month back a teacher of mine said to pray out loud..... he said this in the context of talking out loud to the trees, animals, your innerds what ever. that was cool for me at the time and now because i tend not to articulate my thots and feelings much and knew that the trees wouldn't mind me yaking at them. this has also cooled down my temper with inanimate objects.... when they fuck with me and fall over or what ever stupid thing they do, i have a more playful interaction with them which i am asuming will lead to me realizing how it is that i caused them to fall etc... before i just got pissed and wondered why everything fucks up and compounds all at once.... i know its me and suspect that even if its not i can have a better response to such things.
  11. taoist alchemycal vocabulary

yes, in whatever form.... embeded or obvious....even just hints (which is what they already are really) and as monucka posted earlier on in this thread... as you practice, the vocabulary becomes apparent or easier to figure out.... so an exlpanation probably wouldnt help till your ready but id read it any way.

  13. clubbells

I have been quite amazed at the similarity between what tai chi I am learning and the articles and exercises I read on rmax.... I personaly focus on my live teacher here in real time everday life and suplement when I have time with the rmax stuff.... I prefer Taoist Exercise, meditation, terminology and all that ..... so I havent tried to figure out what exactly Sonnon is teaching... I just read and do his exercises and learn what he has to share. also what is cool about rmax is that so many people contribute and they have different backgrounds and practices that they are coming from..... and yeah.... he must be familiar with chi or what ever by the looks of what he does and his new yoga dvd.... I suspect he is at least open to it yet keeps his forum purely scientific to keep it open to all so people can bring and take what they want.

  21. running and dancing

thank yous for your responses... i recenty was shown how a south american tribe runs.... mostly for distance and to be able to endure..... they use a low posture (sunk like in horse) and raise their legs up while keeping low....this is done slowly and each step is very rooted.... much like many american indian dances... i will post more as i find it.
