There is a book, it is available as a pdf. Kundalini Tantra, by swami whatever something something. Next year, Singing Dragon is publishing a book on the subject.

You have improper practice. You also have "I wouldn't do that", tightly followed by "that's not how it is done in my tradition". And you have "bloody stupid practice", which, I have to remind myself sometimes, too often is the same as "that's not how it is done in my tradition". And you have "plain wrong performance of a method". Separating them is sometimes very difficult.

I actually cut away all information about physiology, quantum physics, and the pictures. And some other stuff not useful for me at present. Ended up with ten pages. Some of it is in line with my conclusions, also got one or two great references (thanks Drew for the work). You might want to check the threads for Nei Jing Tu and XiuZhenTu, they might be useful. -

Well... A teacher also need an income. A professional teacher might be able to give you more, but at a cost. And to many teachers have the experience that things given free are not appreciated or valued. There are buddhist groups teaching Vipassana for free or for a cost covering their expanses, but generally things of value have a prize. If you find an exception to this, congratulations!

You might find that when you go from theory (or myth/story/Classic) to the actual method to practice to feel what is spoken about, sooner or later you will get a response in the vincinity of : This is precious information in my tradition. Please find a teacher qualified to teach his/her lineage, so you can learn that which that tradition can offer, which will include what you are asking for but in a context where you might have optimal use for it.

Must be confusing for the casual reader, so many ways, and so many interpretations of what a term or a symbol means. For example, I wouldn't be surprised if taomeow is speaking of something else than I am refering to, and her way is probably way older. Meanings change, traditions adopt old symbols to explain what they are doing.

From the viewpoint of my system : You don't start with the dipper. You start with calming your body and your mind, and opening up stuff. Breathing, zhan zhuan. Maybe some cool movements. And you progress, symbols and mytologi becomes practical experiences. Including the dipper.

You will find statements on this site about other people having kundalini experiences. Some state that this is not voluntary, that it is nothing you would ever want, that is, it is described in negative terms. And you can open up a shitload of things without having a kundalini Awakening, at least in the sense of hot, uncontrolled powerful energy. But if this is your experience, and you found it useful for your progress, good for you.
