What book is this? Just wondering. I don't actually practice Taoism right now. I tried to for a while, tried to do the Orbit, but I can't remember why I stopped. It wasn't bad, though, the orbit, IMHO.

Some how I think that Kostas' description is a bad translation. Why would you fuse your 'LDT' as you put it with your 'root chakra'? Why? These things I just don't get. Somehow either the Mo Pai is like the most dangerous of the lineages or we're getting bad translations here.

Maybe instead, trying to find out where there are a lot of con artists (I get spam every day form con artists in my e-mail inbox), if it's a con or if it's real. Bad karma. So you say. Nobody IMHO has slandered Micah on any of these forums, saying he's a bad teacher, etc. etc. Just saying that who is Shifu Lin? It seems like somebody has made him up. The 'Official Mo Pai Forum' registered to Micah's e-mail address. Is Micah a student of the Mo-Pai? John Chang? No, right? So ... maybe YOU or MICAH can come forward with some EVIDENCE that there is a Shifu Lin. Otherwise, how are we to know?

I'm not really in a hurry. I'd rather not do something that hurts me. The Mo Pai descriptions of seriously sick students / teachers bothers me a lot. I've tried doing the 'Orbit' as some say it, and it was interesting, but I didn't get that much out of it.

Hypothetically speaking, of course, couldn't the power be transmitted throug the channels, without 'freeing' the dantien?

The 'cutting' thing or 'breaking' thing is what worries me. Their description sounds a lot like getting a hernia. My baguazhang teacher talked about baguazhang 'opening the channels'. Hypothetically, if there was something called chi that went out the hands, if it went through the 'channels', to me, that sounds safer than freeing the dantien in some way. (Shouldn't it stay in place?)

If your dantien broke free, are you okay? No ill side effects? Does it return down there if you're not using it, or what does it do?

Does anybody else think that the way that they descibe the levels and training, that it's just dangerous to health? Like breaking the cords holding the dantien in place. Why in the hell would anybody want to do that? Break stuff in your body? Also, somewhere else on here they were talking about the penis meeting inside with the base of the spine or something like that? What? Does anybody else think this is a really bad idea and a bad translation? It's too bad we can't get some validation off of the school like some official answer if what Kostas was talking about is really true or not.

Just curious about this -- it seems to be a lot of people's attitude is that 'powers' and such, Kundalini, are caused by entities. Where are people getting this? Do they see the entities? Do they hear the entities? It doesn't seem like somebody's personal energy would be an entity.

He does make them look good, though, with good covers, doesn't he? Maybe he does graphics design for a living.

If he's banned as a Westerner anyways, why not just release what he knows onto video for us all to see? And don't charge thousands for it. I'd rather send him some money (supposedly he's a real person), then send any money to Shifu Lin that nobody knows about.

Chinese culture makes it a nightmare, because it is perfectly okay with them to fleece you for anything. Meanwhile, a Chinese person comes in, and they get really serious and tell them stuff they didn't tell you in 10 years. I would go on about it, but it's just more negativity around an already negativity filled topic. What I'd like to see is John Chang or the current Mo Pai lineage holder judge Westerners the same as everybody else. He doesn't have to do what the ancestor spirits say. But one does have to ask, why did it come to that, banning Western students. There was a lot of negativity already surrounding the Mo Pai after I read Kostas book. Sifu Andreas Pollack was posting on some boards a little bit answering questions, and there already was a swirl of negativity about it. Perhaps more respect from the West would have gone a long way. Who really messed up that they decided to ban Westerners?
