  2. Everyone post some favorite quotes!

Intriguing how these observations mirror each other, one from a sixties counter-culturist and the other steeped in the deepest oral traditions of Tibetan Buddhist realization.

How many times... have you encountered the saying, 'When the student is ready, the Master speaks?' Do you know why that is true? The door opens inward. The Master is everywhere, but the student has to open his mind to hear the Masters Voice. Robert Anton Wilson

"Certitude is seized by some minds, not because there is any philosophical justification for it, but because such minds have an emotional need for certitude." "My own opinion is that belief is the death of intelligence. As soon as one believes a doctrine of any sort, or assumes certitude, one stops thinking about that aspect of existence." Robert Anton Wilson
  5. Omniscience. Game of Thrones.

I made it as far as book 4 then lost interest. Author struck me as more of a literary serial killer than a storyteller.

  7. Sons of Reflected Light - where they Druids?

My response to refinding this thread says it's time to revisit Druidic Lore. It's been a good long soak in the shadows. Time to open the oven tree and see what's been cooking been seeded.
  8. please delete

No apologies needed mate, I delete and edit routinely to accomodate my inner space's needs. And while I don't have many answers these days, in their place there's empathy, love and plenty of time to listen. Peace.
  9. I wonder what this would do to the universe

Wife's birthday today. Got myself a slice of Black Forest Cherry and then... reached for the spoon.

and those who were seen dancing were considered mad, by those who could not hear the music.
  12. Quickly detecting a fool is invaluable

I use humor playfulness and absurdity to get a feel for the level of absolute certainty exhibited. Absolute certainty for me is a barometer for foolishness. They seem to have a direct proportional relationship... as one rises, so does the other. Then I remember that all of this is my own interpretations about them made by my mind, out of the partial information received from my senses, which reminds me that this renders almost all input utterly self projected assumptions based on subconscious behavioral conditioning models... then I throw the entire thing out and go about my day.
  13. How to sever a soul tie/energetic link with someone

In my experience it takes about half the time that the relationship was maintained, for the connection to dissolve naturally... for the waters to clear so to speak. Although this varies depending on the depth of the connection and the process and approach of the one walking away, versus the one being walked away from (sometimes this is maintained indefinitely)... each dynamic can have drastically different results for each involved. Residual echoes of the other person's influence will persist long after this... memory triggers arise, though with time, the impact of the recall does seem 'lose its teeth' and the memories no longer carry the sting and substantiality and ability to influence the current moment they when they arise later in the process. I find it good to reassess when memory triggers arise, where I was, where I am and reassert my intentions and then when my bearings are set again clearly, let go again.

  20. How Bees See You. How you appear in ultraviolet.

I don't know. I've always found it odd that science claims to know how other creatures perceive. Perception is vastly intriguing to me. How it varies over a lifetime, how it varies within a species and between them... Humans see colors differently. Dichromats are what we call color blind, they have the fewest types of rods and cones and perceive fewer colors than Trichromats who make up the majority of humans who see 'normal' color ranges, (whatever that means). Tetrachromats having more varied rods and cones can detect subtle variances of shades of colors that Tri and Di Chromats do not perceive. Though I can't imagine how they know, it yet seems plausible to me when scientists claim bees see in ultraviolet spectrum and that flowers are infused with colors we can't perceive, which aids in knowing which flowers possess the most potential food. Also read that fish and underwater realms are rife with ultraviolet perceiving eyes and colors. Fascinating stuff. Useful? no idea... not that it matters, it's part of the process.
  21. Universe Friendly or Hostile?

It seems a fundamental aspect of our consciousness, to perceive the universe as at its core, inherently friendly and cooperative, or hostile and predatory. Some say it's our fundamental choice for how we relate to life. Einstein was one of them. "The most important decision we make is whether we believe we live in a friendly or hostile universe." he's quoted as saying. If you've spent time around infants and very young babies/pre-toddlers. It seems to be deeper than choice to me. There are babies in two basic camps, those that innately lean in and reach out to the new and strange and those who flinch, pull back and withdraw from the unfamiliar. This seems to be the impetus to me for our deepest notions of the nature of the universe, or our place in the dance of maya. Choice or not aside, it's intriguing to observe my self reactions to life in light of this question and gain a glimpse into some aspects of my deep-seeded behavior patterns and approaches to life.
  22. The Doomsday Scenario

processed wheat and processed sugar have existed for how long? the concept of ownership of land has existed for how long? the concept of banking theft has existed for how long? digital music/information has existed for how long? wireless communication has existed for how long? age of information has existed for how long? awareness has existed for how long? doomsday is -_always happening now for someone_-? when oh when is it my turn?
