very true, very sad story. -
Could it be that the manner of awareness interacting and experiencing Chakras is what shifts, rather than assuming that the chakras are altered? Though who am I to discount the possibility that chakras can evolve? Change is rather a persistent feature of anything involving a form. It's rather palpable to me, that the patterns of energy I identify as separate Chakras operate together. They are already unified even when when awareness percieves them distinctly and individually. Yet the individual chakras are always functioning as a unified process. Not just that, but they are also unfied with all other systems within the body, the mind and the energetic selves... Is it not plausible that when Awareness shifts from local identity/body/mental processes, the manner of interacting with chakras may shift from expriencing them individually, to systemically...?

Flowers do not open by seeking, or force. They fall open... they dissolve open. collapse open unfolding utterly effortless... without notions, ideas, or desires flowers unfold, exhaling in utter release fall open and release everything and every non thing that which remains... -
I wonder at how he felt the first time he used actual chainsaws... I mean... wow.

Yea, funny how that happens with humans. A similar thing happened with Charles Darwin and 'survival of the fittest'.

Leo Gura films himself becoming enlightened
silent thunder replied to HoldorFold's topic in General Discussion
One of my staunch materialist friends actually approached me at work and asked me to watch one or two of his lectures to get my take. He really appreciated the way Leo discusses some esoteric concepts and wanted my take as he knows I'm not a materialist and wanted to see what someone from my side of the fence thought of him... if he was just spouting bs or was on track. I find Leo to be pretty grounded and insightful. Although this video is a bit unsettling, that level of intimacy is intense. Can't say if he is aided by a chemical process in addition to the breathing and sitting, but when realizations come, they come... and all chemicals, breath and light come from the same source. When the veil is pulled back, it doesn't matter whose hand is grabbing it to me any longer. I find him open and authentic. Though I couldn't watch the entire process on the first view... just too intimate. I will come back and watch more as I'm quite curious how the wave eddies into a balanced flow. -
I believe that is George Carlin... in my opinion, the modern equivalent of Chuang Tzu in his piercing observations of the ridiculousness of social structures and conditioning.

That is without a doubt one of the greatest quotes I've ever heard. Never knew Nietzsche was harboring that level of wisdom... WOOF!

At this point in my life... meditation, qi gong, nei gong... all forms are now medicinal, no longer dietary.

Are "hard" martial arts an obstruction for those on the path of Neidan?
silent thunder replied to Oneironaut's topic in Daoist Discussion
I think the hard arts will lead to internal shifts. What is the old saying?... "we start kung fu to learn how to defeat others, yet eventually we realize the real victory is over our self." -
deci has a rare level of insight and passion and a mental acuity/intensity and gift for language that boggled me... I'm a word-smith and a language whore by nature... from my early childhood. I learned young the power of language, particularly over the adults around me. To gain attention, love and respect... or to injure. deci had deep insights and a very potent way of sharing... i miss that, especially the challenges. It's funny... those close to me who have moved away, or passed away... often what I miss most about them were the quirks that used to make me frustrated. Because, it was so quintessentially them. In Alice in Wonderland terms... "it's their muchness".

Carlin reminds me of Chuang Tzu. Social commentarian with a humorous slant.

When my son and I walk through the grocery store, he will sometimes still remark as we pass by an aisle... "yea Dad, no real food down that aisle... all boxes and bright colors... that's a dead give away for dead food."
