  1. Breath pacer recommendations?

far out... I had wondered if there was something to the watering eyes during practice... just figured it was an off-shoot of allergies, but my allergies have nearly disappeared in the last few years.
  2. Is celibacy for 10 years realistic?

Retired friend of mine has never had sex in his life... claims he just never wanted it, was never interested in it and couldn't care less about it. He's just a regular retired guy and for what it's worth, I've known him for 16+ years and have no reason to doubt him. It's just sex, it's not that big a deal to me either way. My wife and I go through phases, where we are celibate and where we can't keep our hands off each other. Nature moves in cycles. Be open. Resistance brings pain in my experience... and unnecessary suffering.
  3. Breath pacer recommendations?

I use this method on long hikes. Six count in, six count out. Walk all day like that...
  4. Breath pacer recommendations?

  8. In the form I use now, when we get to the point of running the MCO, we first run it reverse, against the natural flow. This removes blockages and opens up channels before turning it and moving with the flow.
  9. Thoughts on Ukraine / Russia Debacle?!

I thought King Arthur taught us all that might doesn't make right... Perhaps I'll send nato a copy of The Once and Future King.
  10. Liniments

My wife broke her spine in two places some 20 odd years ago, died for a few minutes, it was intense. The emergency room techs, didn't do a full spine xray and so missed that she'd broken her t-7, they just noticed the broken coccyx. So she just healed up on her own. She's had back issues on and off as a result. Nothing has helped her more than regular yoga and stretching. However, a friend at work who also had major back issues much of her life recommended Dr Schulze's Deep Tissue Ointment for recovery and relief. It is nothing short of stunning in its restorative properties and conveyance of relief. We have three tubes in the house at all times. We bring it on vacation with us. It's amazing. https://www.herbdoc.com//index.php/Store/Deep-Tissue-Ointment
  11. Christian Qi Gong Masters !?

Somewhere over 33,000 distinct types of Christianity in over 230 countries... I've met a couple of qi gong practitioners who identified as Christian, the only common factor among them was that none were fundamentalist. None I've met were masters. Though there are a few accomplished practitioners here who seem to identify as Christian. I'm sure one of them will be able to steer you in the direction you're requesting. Perhaps try researching Gnostic Christianity and see what modern practices you come across that may be similar to qi gong. In the end, it doesn't matter what we call the process. It's a human process and we all engage in it, consciously, or not. Peace.
  12. Noticed anything strange lately?

Over the last three years, I've noticed that in the lives of myself, my wife and every single one of my closest friends... (folks I've known more than 20 years, nine of them in all, there has been intense, often catastrophic change. Sudden, life altering change ranging from ending 20 year relationships and careers, to losing children and spouses and parents... to remembering long buried abuse and taking out restraining orders on abusive parents... pets being kidnapped. When looked at in retrospect like this, the pattern is overwhelming. Complete reality shifting kind of change. It's been a steady stream of life change being experienced by the people I've come to claim as my chosen family. Spread out across the globe. Hundreds of hours spent in soul opening conversations about what's most important, what is the nature of evil, what abides, what is completely fucked up... Through it all, I've come away noticing that even in the harshest of instances... in every case... each of my friends is still thriving. And as we abide in each others' company... as we seek each other out to share our pain, I've come to realize something for which I am profoundly grateful; that as we share our grief, it lessens. It's so important to reach out. Make the connection. When we reach out, grief lessens and love grows.

Funny... Evian spelled backwards is naivE...
  14. Of all the cultivation, meditation, intention and visualization work I've done... The most rewarding and effective results stem from: Kind heart. Quiet heart. Sincere heart. Everything else is secondary.

  19. Nasal cycle

Thanks. I'm happily at full lung capacity again with no pain. The experience certainly has driven home to me very viscerally, just how absolutely crucial breath is and how much it impacts the states of consciousness. I'm really looking forward to being able to do qigong again, going to try tonight. It's been a while...
  20. Nasal cycle

I haven't had a cold in several years. Oddly though, I have had allergies to the plants out east of us and whenever the Santa Ana winds blow from that direction, I would get severely blocked up for days. In the last couple years when they come, I feel the allergies, I sneeze some, but my nose stays very open and clear. I attribute it to daily Qi Gong for years, but I don't know for certain. I am now just getting over a bacterial infection in my lungs, aka walking pneumonia that I've had for over a month. I was dumbfounded when the Dr told me that is what it was... I had no runny nose, no fever, no coughing, the only symptom was pain in my shoulders and throat when I inhaled fully. Annoying but like I said, I'd been working and living with it for about a month with no detriment. The fact that this pain was persistent was what drove me in to the Dr finally. He was surprised that I had no other symptoms, but he just shrugged and wrote me a scrip for anti-bio's. But the nasal passages remaining open is huge for me. It's been a big improvement in my quality of life, as before, I would frequently have only one nostril open at any given time, cold or no cold, for many years it was like this and it would oscillate throughout the day. I never noticed a discernible pattern, but I wasn't looking.
  21. Nasal cycle

I used to have that cycle as well... no more, not for the last two years or so.
  22. The Rainbow Body by Dr Nida Chenagtsang

I have been consumed with this concept from a very early age. It's very dear to me. thanks for sharing this.
  23. AMERICAN GUY ATTAINING RAINBOW BODY! :D

I love this concept. In the end, all things are light. Science even agrees with that. Not that THAT matters... hehehehh
