  1. Has anyone experienced this change in energy?

I've noticed similar cocoon like energy extending around myself and one I'm touching, but only with a few individuals who are all very close to me. In terms of hands/lao gong sensations, recently I've noticed strong magnetic bubbles extending out from my palms. When I bring them in proximity to one another, they will repel with the exact same feeling as two magnets of the same pole. I watched my sifu move a compass with his Qi, perhaps it's time to try this myself.
  2. Bummer, I don't know anyone there, but it's big enough, you'll find someone there or near enough to reach regularly. good on ya mate, be well!

  4. SM - Importance of Tree gong

I love tree work. There are some very solid practical applications and descriptions of tree work in Mantak Chia's book : Chi Nei Tsang https://www.google.com/shopping/product/17528445809704865767?q=mantak+chia+chi+nei+tsang&client=firefox-a&hs=87F&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=sb&bav=on.2,or.r_qf.&bvm=bv.68693194,d.cGU,pv.xjs.s.en_US.-Ep_RCG9YGU.O&biw=981&bih=663&tch=1&ech=1ψ=KZSWU9-hHIf3oAS_yoCgBA.1402377260098.3&sa=X&ei=L5SWU578OZGhogTogoDoAQ&ved=0CGoQ8wIwAQ
  5. Hello

Not all those who wander are lost.... welcome to the bums.
  6. She's Got the Universe in Her Hands!

That is such a great exchange! My wife has similar characteristics... she avoids any sort of formal cultivation for fear of getting lost in the stars herself...
  7. The phenomenon Between Life and Death

    wow... that's a paradigm buster
  8. I'm wondering what odd/awesome/nasty/strange things folks have found in their lives... I once found about a pound of weed hidden inside a hay bale. I was 10 and my buddy and I were launching ourselves off the garage roof onto the bale when my hand brushed a plastic bag. My mom called the police and we turned it in. Party at officer Brown's place that month!
  9. being a peaceful warrior?

I find most, certainly not all, but most soldiers/warriors yearn for peace. As one of my gurus once so eloquently said: Fighting for Peace is like Fucking for Virginity: George Carlin...
  10. burmese, or half lotus for sitting... then there's lying, standing and walking...
  11. what's the coolest/oddest thing you've ever found?

i used to feed a particular squirrel at an apt we lived in... she'd run along our fence and I'd line raw almonds up for her every morning... One morning I'd forgotten to lay out the nuts, or didn't have them and I woke up to find her sitting on top of my chair at my desk waiting for me to wake up and come downstairs! Three cats in the place and she's up there just as calm as if she lived with us... She was nursing at the time.
  12. HELP!

Much Love Capt'n! Keep singing and bend it don't break it...
  13. being a peaceful warrior?

I'm always completely mind-numbed at how any judge or jury could ever award anything in cases like these...
  14. Mastering the emotions

a bundle of conditioned responses to most stimuli... and whenever a situation is presented that is outside our 'normal' parameters, the anxiety over not having a preconditioned way to respond puts many into crisis mode...
  15. Watching The Birds

Whenever we go to the Getty Museum, I spend most of my time outside, as I know the permanent exhibits quite well and I prefer hanging out in the gardens. The show that the hummingbirds put on there daily is awesome. I love those little buggers. They're so territorial, it's fun to watch them jockey for position and chase each other around.
  16. being a peaceful warrior?

I've never wanted to start fights. But I studied Martial techniques long and diligently so that I'd be able to finish them. Must be able to protect the self and the innocents.

  19. Gods created out of Fear

off topic side note: you noted in another post you were with LAPD... my Uncle retired a few years back, he was a detective in Homicide for about 40 years as well... small world. Cheers on your retirement and thanks for your service... it's tough to work with the 10% of the population that cause 90% of the trouble and remain so positive. He has this quality as well.
  20. Upping Sticks

I applaud your path good sir. My intentions are with you!
  21. Is anyone familliar with this language?

Very interesting. My emotions were definitely in overdrive during this period.
