Good stuff! My life is shifting away from seeking, trying and acquiring to being. Try sticks in my craw... and not just because Yoda nailed it so long ago. When I set up the intent to try, the mind adds a layer to the process that is more complication than added benefit. My confirmation teacher was a hebrew scholar and an awesomely open minded guy, so I'm taking context into account, perhaps semantics are involved with the definition of adultery. I guess technically since the wife is to obey the husband and the husband is to cherish the wife, there is no rape within the confines of marriage... Such grey areas are created when one creates one law, others must be created to overlap and recover the view of black and white duality with no exceptions. In the end for me it still boils down to the 10 commandments are not to a list of 'never do this or burn forever'; but rather a road marker for whether or not you walk the path of divine love. If you walk the path of divine love... you will notice these 10 things fall away from your behavior and thought patterns.

I was once given some great advice when I started bartending. Eyes open, ears open, mouth shut. I followed that for about 0.2 seconds lmao... My gab earned me quite a few regulars and quite some nice jingle. Recently though I've found the real value of that advice and it applies to when I'm emotionally compromised. Then silence and contemplation are invaluable.

You are not to blame for anyone's poor behavior. One of my closest friends was abused a lot as a child by her parents. Now whenever she's treated poorly, her first instinct is to wonder what she's done to create the violence. Nothing. She and you are not responsible for other people's poor decisions and violent behavior. Drop that feeling like a heavy suitcase bud.... it's not yours.

Just picked this cd up. Love DCD. Saw them about 8 years ago at the Hollywood Bowl, with the LA Philharmonic backing them up. One of my favorite shows all time. Every time she would sing, my son would go nuts in the womb kicking and flailing about. Pure Awesome!

I think we come to the training that suits us when we're open to it and it's appropriate. When I was young I trained hard styles for years. As the body broke down, I discovered a great teacher of Qi Gong/Nei Gong and recovered my body strength and flexibility, I realized even though I could return to hard styles, I have moved on and no longer am interested in training that way. It's an organic process to find a cultivation method or style of training. I feel that we come to the training and stick with it, only when we are suited to it, young, old, thriving, sickly... I don't worry about not having spent my youth training in soft styles or in seated meditation. We find what suits us when conditions are right, then we flourish.

I'm bringing my ldt into the shop for some work next week...
