Looking for tips on reducing pride/ego.

Strong points about not demonizing egoing. For some time, i no longer experience an ego as if it's 'a thing' that 'i have' or possess, or carry, or am burdened by... my experience for some years now has been that ego is a verb. Egoing is a verb, like dancing. It is not a thing, it is experienced as a process that is engaged with, not some notion of an animated puppet, or mini-crappier version of my higher self that i carry with me or am burdened by, (which is how I grew up and lived much of my adult life). That kind of thinking seemed burdensome when i reflect back. Egoing seemingly arises unconsciously when conditions draw me into it. It has a natural, useful function and when realize i am egoing this no longer bothers me, it's just a dance. Shifting from egoing to another process like simple presence and raw being occurs as well. These processes arise and drop off naturally, cyclically. When egoing ceases, raw being, emptiness, bouyancy are more readily experienced, though these never seem to pause; egoing like a whirlpool manifests and drops off... much like all other manifestations and mental modeling. On, off. Arise, recede. Tao is as a bellows. Nature dances in cycles. Nature follows Tao; i follow my nature. Naturing is also a verb to me... (everything is, there are no longer any nouns in my experience of life, but that's another long and likely convoluted post) In terms of benefits, i'm relieved that i no longer manufacture, or hold a sense that egoing is bad, unnecessary or a burden when it arises. -

This resonates my experience of Maya. Nothing conscious is perceived purely, all perception is filtered and interpreted. edit to add: and then, often projected -
Good friend of many years just approached me at work and asked... 'in your meditations have you ever randomly noticed, or you become aware that it seems like you've not been breathing for some time?' I smiled and said "Yea. I find it to be a good sign of deep calm in body and mind." He has no formal energetic practice, no meditation background and no real desire to explore awareness or spiritual matters. But he is an artist who studies human emotions and psyche (actor with deep training and decades of experience).

Desirable outcomes is untenable territory for me for some time now... desirable for whom? And for how long? That veal dinner is tasty for me, very desirable, how lucky for me that lamb happened upon my path. Not so lucky for the lamb though? Luck is so subjective and temporary as to be rendered increasingly meaningless for me as years pass. Luck is a word and a concept I used to attribute to situations and events that I either liked, or didn't. Good. Bad. Any more, it's all life... sometimes I'm more able to appreciate the conditions than others. But luck? Like as an acting force in the aggregates of life? pfft. It's no longer a functional concept or descriptor for how I experience life.

Reminds me of this: One does not stop wrestling a bear when one grows tired. It ends only when the bear loses interest. -
Wow... timing. Synchronicity. Deep gratitude manitou. When blockage releases, or is dissolved, realization and liberation are simultaneous. Past and Future are now and realization unfolds in beingness as it is, in this presence. So grateful that you and others of similar ken are willing to share their time and insights. Such gifts are real treasure to me, like water on a hot day.

Attempts to wake before our time are often punished, especially by those who love us most. Because they, bless them, are asleep. They think anyone who wakes up, or who, still asleep, realizes that what is taken to be real is a ‘dream’ is going crazy. R. D. Laing -
