The Relationship between Curiosity and Spirituality
silent thunder replied to Encephalon's topic in General Discussion
Thanks for sharing this topic encephalon. Some years back I noticed a subtle, but potent shift in my process. The bouyant centeredness of questions that have no firm answers replaced my former insatiable desire for certainty in perception and thought. It was born of an unsought rise in Deeply Seeded Doubt of every aspect of life formerly taken as 'understood'. This Doubt has been invaluable in freeing awareness from the harness of assumption and has aided enormously in dissolving former assumptions of my own true nature, not only formerly held notions of right and wrong, or how the world is. Being not only satisfied, but genuinely fulfilled by the arising of questions that generate no firm answers, or seem to be unanswerable through current awareness... and then abiding in the answerlessness of them has become central to my process and is liberating at a depth I could not have forseen. Keen, Radical Doubting has naturally given rise to a bouyant dancing with answerless questions. Often as you alluded to... the questions are no longer even arising as worded thoughts... but a pure, simplistic unworded query that is half questioning and half joyful observation of "......?" -
The locked thread by incompetent MOD

@SongShuhang Stop spamming your incessant complaints. No one is holding you here. Lima is a beloved member in good standing. If you can't play, if it's so terrible... leave. -

The ignore feature is next to useless due to quoting functions, coupled with the fact that in its current form, it ignores nothing, but highlights the ignored content with the canned message about it being ignored, which interrupts the conversation itself. Blocking is functional. The ignore feature is nigh on useless, actually highlighting and drawing attention to, rather than ignoring. Block function would truly help. I'll ask again, since we have another admin/mod team. It sure would be helpful to be able to block specific threads... from our own individual feeds, without having to disable entire sections of the forum from our feed. The opinion of madness/Talk Trump 2 thread is an example. Its incessant spamming of the activity feed with its daily pages of vitriol and hate... renders the activity thread a ceaseless source of bile, unless one disables all feed entries from the entire Rabbit Hole section, rendering that entire section mute.

@mark It's nice to see someone who appreciates Psychedelic Muse. One of my favorite DJ channels. She's like my musical soul sister.

Hey Lao. Welcome to the Bums. Glad you chose to bring your experience to the forum. If I were to begin one more form in this life, it would be Baguazhang. Hope you enjoy your time here.

Revival of the Chinese Hermit Tradition
silent thunder replied to Awen's topic in General Discussion
Go into yourself and see how deep the place is from which your life flows. Openness, patience, receptivity, solitude is everything. The highest form of love is to be the protector of another person’s solitude. If you will stay close to nature, to its simplicity, to the small things hardly noticeable, those things can unexpectedly become great and immeasurable. To be here is immense. Rainer Maria Rilke -
sugar is horrible for health. When I started to cut it out of my diet and hence began checking labels on foods, it was stunning how many foods it's added to... how many foods I had to give up if I truly wanted it out of me. It was also stunning how strong my body's reaction to it is and the addictiveness of it. Lights up the same areas of the brain as cocaine does and is so prevalent in health issues in the West, because it's not only socially accepted, it's woven into our socializing, family meals and reward scenarios as children.

Taoist Immortal Monarchs: Alchemy in Nature

Well... Nameless didn't make it. We discovered her empty Chrysalis this morning. Shortly after that, we found her stuck to the table where she evidently fell while emerging. Her wings hadn't dried yet and when she fell, her wings then dried to the table, rendering them useless. So she won't be making the trek to Northern Cali, she was breakfast for a local bird instead. and the cycle continues... -
Me: (randomly blurted out this question to my son while walking through the room) Hey! Where is the top of Earth? Son: (without looking up) Yes. I always know what up seems like to me, yet I'm constantly aware that my up is someone else's down.

It is decay of life that nurtures life. The decay of life in my gut, fuels my vitality and continues my life. Living only lives on the decay of other life. One flowing cycle of life consuming life through decay. One flowing cycle of decay nurturing life through decay. Decay is Life.
