Why is creativity considered a feminine trait when women don't create anything except babies?
witch replied to Agape's topic in General Discussion
No, mistress, you are always wise. It was wading through the pages of crap to get to your post that was making me regret entering the thread! I do have to ask, though, if the universe is female, is the DNA database that gives the life of the universe form, male? I believe what you say. I think you would like the movie Paranormal Activities. It was created by a very clever and inventive man, but finished and perfected by a man who clearly has the sort of attitude you describe. Steven Spielberg redid the ending, and he made the entire movie ring true. -
Again, nerves use neurotransmitters, including serotonin. That isn't news. What they don't do is transport it over long distances in the body. Nerves work like this. Imagine the balls on each end as serotonin molecules. The nerve receives a serotonin particle on one end, then uses ions to send the message to the other end of the nerve and sends off a serotonin particle from the other end of the nerve. Make sense?
-
For the record, it was if bacteria can cross the blood brain barrier. And he did have proof of that, in the microtubules of nerves. I did not know of the existence of microtubules. He was wrong about serotonin. And of course nerves can increase neurotransmitter levels, that's one of their jobs, sending the signals to increase neurotransmitters. His argument was that nerves can actually transport neurotransmitters, like a blood vessel transports blood. My argument was as he said, that the nerve simply sends along a signal. By my reckoning he is one out of three, and that one I think was from luck more than anything else. Drew, the Shakti helmet is my kryptonite, at least the peculiar way I happened to use it the first time. I've got a report in my practice journal, I think we've derailed this thread enough.

This Marie Curie thing is really bugging me. She won two freaking Nobel prizes, in physics and chemistry. "Marie Curie was a Polish physicist and chemist who lived between 1867-1934. Together with her husband, Pierre, she discovered two new elements (radium and polonium, two radioactive elements that they extracted chemically from pitchblende ore) and studied the x-rays they emitted. She found that the harmful properties of x-rays were able to kill tumors. By the end of World War I, Marie Curie was probably the most famous woman in the world. She had made a conscious decision, however, not to patent methods of processing radium or its medical applications." http://inventors.about.com/library/invento...lMarieCurie.htm "Her achievements include the creation of a theory of radioactivity (a term coined by her), techniques for isolating radioactive isotopes, and the discovery of two new elements, polonium and radium. It was also under her personal direction that the world's first studies were conducted into the treatment of neoplasms ("cancers"), using radioactive isotopes. " She created a new branch of science. And healed people. And discovered two new elements. And won two Nobel prizes. In her off time she invented the mobile X-ray machine. Oh hell, read this to understand the deep importance of her discovery http://www.aip.org/history/curie/resbr1.htm And your inventor invented CD's, the karaoke machine and the taxi meter, big whoop-de-doo. -

I am sexist. There are some things men are better at than women, just intrinsically. I was a math major. Men at the highest levels are better than women at mathematics. They are better at analytical thinking, and MUCH better at spatial thinking. They are more tactical than women, they are more strategic than women. Men are more analytical, women are more intuitive, and men and women are equally creative. And of course men are better at sports, again at the highest levels, aside from sports that require endurance or agility over speed and strength. Creativity belongs to both of us, and I think you realize that at some level. Most people don't immediately think "inventors" when they think creativity, and yet two out of the three examples you gave were inventors, and the other example, of music, was in a genre that has only had genuine non-singing female artists that weren't gimmicks for less than ten years. When Jimi Hendrix made his mark, 100% of rock guitarists were male, except for gimmick girl guitarists in girl bands. Even with that stigma, three of the "girl band" guitarists broke out and had respectable careers--Joan Jett, Lita Ford, and Nancy Wilson. Even Orianthi, shredder that she is, is relegated to singing Miley Cyrus-like pop fluff, but she will break out of that. Right now she's not Jimi, but she is Paul McCartney back when he was singing in a boy band. And in ten years we will have a female Jimi. In the more obvious creative arts, like writing novels or painting, women have long held their own. As for recent patents, it's hard to find a Thomas Edison nowadays, first because most everything has already been patented, and second because new important patents are now mostly held by corporations, not individuals. Yoshiro Nakamatsu was born in 1928. Find comparable male inventors born after 1960, when men and women started having the chance of competing on an equal playing field in terms of education. I'm rather shocked that you consider Marie Curie's contribution to science as less than his. -

Well, I always read any thread TaoMeow posts in. I'm rather regretting this one! First off, you can't extrapolate modern society and imprint it backwards. Women were basically considered men's property worldwide until the beginning of the last century. In some places they are still considered men's property. Even when not considered men's property outright, they have historically borne the lion's share of the childrearing. Childrearing is an all-consuming task, particularly in the pre-birth control family with seven or eight children. Add to that the rarity of women going to college, and of course women were not creative, except in the small arts that women were taught--watercolors, needlepoint, in the Middle East making carpets. They surpass men in those things. Rather, compare men as a whole to the rare wealthy single women who had the freedom to be either college educated or educated in the particular field of their art. The percentage of superb artists in that subgroup of women far exceeds the percentage of superior artists in men as a whole, and even, if you want to compare apples to apples, the percentage of superior artists in wealthy single men. Virginia Woolf wrote a book, A Room Of One's Own, lamenting the fact that Jane Austen was forced to write as a mere hobby, and put her writing away when she was called to babysit or make social calls or be a companion. Now, things have changed. Young ladies have a chance now, there is a level playing field. You asked, and here they are: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDhV-xXDWsE http://www.inventions.org/culture/female/lamarr.html Now it's true that women are not as concerned with patents as men are--we are more collaborative to our detriment, but I will rank Marie Curie against Yoshiro Nakamatsu any day. http://www.edinformatics.com/great_thinkers/curie.htm I do want to apologize to the newer female members of taobums, who may not realize this mostly unmoderated board attracts young men interested in learning ancient Chinese secrets to brush up their PUA (pick up artist) game. They are here to get the sixth chakra power to seduce young ladies, and to learn to avoid premature ejaculation, and that's about it. If I were a more wicked witch, I would avail myself of some of the angry pent-up young jing plashing all over the board. -
You drive me bananas! I listened to about ten minutes of that lecture before switching it off in impatience. Of course all living things have ions in them. And yes, electromagnetic fields can really screw around with people's health. I've never owned a cellphone, I don't have any cordless phones in my house, wifi is evil. But in the first few examples there, his explanation contradicts your points. He says that ions enter skin cells (or ear "hair" cells) and that triggers the cells to release neurotransmitters which then communicate with the nervous system and it's the nerves that send the message of the skin cells to the brain. And of course nerves work by using ions. That's how the nervous system works. http://www.emc.maricopa.edu/faculty/farabe...ioBookNERV.html If our bodies didn't use ions in the entire nervous system, including the vagus nerve, we would instantly die. Everyone's body is already "sending ions up the vagus nerve" every time we digest a meal. So I assume that what you are describing is something different, like you are sending up a huge excess supply of ions up the vagus nerve like a pipeline, such a huge supply that you send out whatever it is, electrical biophotons or something in a laser beam out your eyes? Our debates run something like this drew: I can levitate me: oh really? drew: yes. Here are dozen studies definitively proving that gravity exists. me: yes, and? drew: well, don't you see--this proves I can levitate!

No kidding! As for him being able to "feel" the gender of posters, I think that's a product of him reading what is posted, not any sort of supernatural thing. I don't think Drew would be able to identify the gender of an anonymous poster, for example. So Kate, don't get too freaked out.

Help please! I have a friend, someone I met recently. Very nice guy, but his line of work has brought him under attack. I'm pretty sure I can heal him physically, and we've gotten that part started. But I also connected with him to heal him spiritually, and he's got so much bad stuff in him, I've pulled off as much as I can, but it made me physically sick, got a sore throat, etc. Healed myself. And worse is the poison in him--at first I wondered why I was feeling suicidal, then realized and rooted it, grounded it so the bad energy went into the ground. But now it's happening again, even worse. I was sitting here for an hour, literally could not fathom why life was worth living, which is NOT like me. Then I realized with a start it was happening again, grounded the energy, but I'm feeling absolutely drained. Whatever has its fangs in this guy is stronger than me. Any pointers? He was clueless about protection magic, I gave him some better stuff to try. But I'm going to have to break my connection with him (I have to think of myself and my kids), and I don't want to leave him hanging. I know Yoda would recommend Mak Tin Si. Any other ideas?

I think I've derailed the Men Who Stare At Goats thread enough, decided to start my own thread on this topic! I know most men here do the MCO, and some women too. I finally realized what I'm doing is moving the opposite way. My energy moves up the Functional Channel. It doesn't go up any farther than the heart, it goes up the Functional Channel and out through the heart. I have many small orgasms flexing my PC muscles and this generates sexual energy up in my Sexual Palace. This energy builds up and finally rises directly straight up, it does not go back to the spine. It rises to the heart and then there is congestion of the energy there. To get rid of the energy I need to have a heart chakra orgasm, or push the energy back down to my vulva and have several ejaculation orgasms. To have a heart chakra orgasm I have to be looking or at least thinking of a man with an open heart, a "sex object" is required. It helps to look at a picture of a man's head and chest, especially if he is making eye contact with the camera. Or of course a real man works even better. It is easiest with chest-to-chest contact, but I can do it at a distance too. The sensation and physiological reaction is similar to a man's traditional orgasm. There is the initial surge, where usually there is an involuntary arching of my back, and I can feel the energy shoot out in spurts. The spurts have about the same timing as a man's regular orgasm, and there is a feeling of convulsing in my chest that pushes the energy out. Afterwards I am depleted, and may faint and/or burst into tears if the orgasm was strong enough. I generally have one of these every several days. I think for a woman to develop this easily, she must have had a baby and breastfed it a lot. Also she should have spontaneous vaginal orgasms from flexing the PC muscles. It can probably be done without these two things, but I think both contributed for me and made it very natural and instinctive. It helps to be really crazy in love with a man to get the energy to raise up. If a suitable man with an open heart isn't around, a woman can use her imagination. Nipple stimulation will help, although that will decrease libido in general from the prolactin. I think my diet also helps women achieve this. Not being a man, I don't know much about reaching an open heart, but from what I've read, entering in feeling female helps. Crossdressing may help this process, I'm not sure.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. Every guy I meet over 18 and under 80 I think what it would be like to have sex with him. I evaluate them all. Doesn't mean that's only what I think about, of course I can see beyond men's sex appeal to whether they might make good friends. But if I'm looking for a sex partner, which Non is, of course I base my actions on their sex appeal.

According to what I've read, sometimes a traumatic experience can blow out the receptors in one direction on the thingummy connecting the two amygdalas. One amygdala controls the feelings of fear, despair, depression--bad feelings, and the other controls the feelings of bliss and joy. So once the overflow of bad feelings vents into joyous feelings, it happens easier next time. So the feelings of bliss and joy are active at the same time the right hippocampus is active, the right hippocampus controlling the right-brain communication that is done without words. So I'm in that state talking to my right brain. My entity is myself. Of course the question is, is my right brain receiving outside paranormal or psychic communication? And it sounds like that is your question too.
-
It's less romantic now that I know the brain processes causing it. I don't know him all that well, but definitely not magick or witchcraft--I think he does meditation and Buddhist things.
-
The difference was that I went after Max in a playful attack, which was one of the dumber things I've done in my life. He annoyed me with his 100 days.
-
When they are 23. When a woman is 43 things are very very different. You have the whole rest of your life in front of you, and things will definitely get better.

I think it's more the body than people have realized, particularly the limbic system.

I had no protection. It made riding the subway a pain in the ass. I have learned in the last few years that my best protection is to be undetectable. I deliberately keep myself completely empty of sexual energy. As soon as it rises to my chest I send it out. I barely have a pulse! I also have a mirrored shield. I blend. And of course, I also have my protective entity, that is VERY effective at keeping everything out, unless I specifically let something in. Also I have, and this sounds very silly, but it's a witch's perogative to be silly, a black feather boa. For bad cases of negative energy where someone has found me and made a connection, I really only used it with my ex-husband, I would make a circle of the boa, hold it above my head, and bring the circle down along my naked body to my feet. I would then take the boa outside and shake it. Usually I am in no trouble now because I can't be found unless I stupidly reach out and make a connection on my own. That's what I did with Max playfully, and with this man out of altruistic healing motives. I remain completely hidden in plain view. No one can tell from looking at me what I am. I cultivate being ordinary. Also I should mention I have more advanced protection, that I used when I was scared of Max. I was setting some of that up around my friend to help protect him, and within a day I had the attack.

Non, honey, time is on your side. Right now your problem is that you, understandably, are interested in pretty, 23-year-old girls. And so is the entire rest of the male population. 75-year-old guys want to have sex with pretty 23-year-old girls. Married men want to have sex with pretty 23-year-old girls. They are pursued. So if you aren't out there in front, being a player, you are going to have a hard time showing up on their radar. Things will get easier for you as you get older. If you march to a different drummer it will take longer for you to find girls that particularly like you. It might help if you can make your differences glamorous in some way, like the way goth guys can take being antisocial and moody and turn it into a positive (not to say you are that way).
-
I felt your energy. Friendly, yes. Need a little more yin! Yes, I am impertinent. Will stop promiscuously going around feeling men's energy now and concentrate on work.
-
I think I should be insulted? At any rate, I've washed my hands of all that. And he is interested in Santi's help. So he won't be associating with my murky energy anymore. And, BTW, I did give him plenty of warnings about me. And the reason I'm in his debt is that he indirectly helped me figure out what was going on with my entity, among many other things. Also Hathor gave him the thumbs up. Oh, also I'm not "involved with him" if by that you mean having sex with him. I'm not sure what you mean by that, actually.
-
Thank you! Yes, you are right about that. That's at least something I can do on my side, thank you.
-
Oh, of course! Hathor has already indicated to me that he has her favor, which is why I made the attempt in the first place. This is one thing I can do, that won't affect me directly. But shouldn't I send the Sekhmet side of Hathor for protection? Let me know.
-
Thank you for all the suggestions! He doesn't really need protection spells or techniques. I've already given him some suggestions on those, being a witch. And it's not that he's particularly attracting demonic energy. On the contrary, he is pissing off powerful human beings who are then targeting him. There is a difference. What he needs is a strong lineage to protect him, basically some spiritual bodyguards. These are good, thank you! And so is the salt bath idea, I do that myself.
-
Be careful who you invite over the threshold, young man. I can take sex energy too you know. This is Santi's website, right? http://kundaliniawakeningprocess.com/about...ago_dobles.html

I'm not "abandoning" him, I'm just breaking off the direct spiritual energy connection--I was giving him my sex energy to heal him, and then stumbled along this um, foreign "curse" thingummy and I psychically skedaddled. I'm still talking to the guy! He doesn't need therapy, he needs a good dose of hoodoo or something. Spirits begone spritzer or something.
