If the lunar first and fifteenth are what I think they are, that refers to the new and full moons. Witches of course have lots of things we do on those days. At the very least special bath salts, soaps and/or oils are used to mark the days. Or are you particularly asking about taoist practice?

The lunar cycle does not work out exactly to a year. That 28+ day times 13 thing doesn't work out, otherwise new and full moons would always fall on the same calendar day of each year. They don't. The astrological zodiac is simply the solar year first divided into quarters (solstices and equinoxes) and then again into thirds. They probably picked thirds to harmonize most closely with the lunar cycle--that way for 12 of the 13 moons there is only one new and full moon per zodiac sign. The astrological lunar cycle in the European system is still preserved but not much followed in our weeks. The week serves the same purpose as the zodiac quarters of the year, marking out the important phases of the moon--new moon, half moon, full moon, half moon. Of course to work properly the weeks would need to be rectified, having a leap day, maybe an extra Saturday every so often to keep the week in phase with the moon. But back in the day, the weekly zodiac had more prominence than the solar zodiac, much more prominence. Each day of the week, instead of a sign, had a planet that ruled it. Monday--the moon, Tuesday--Mars, Wednesday--Mercury, Thursday--Jupiter, Friday--Venus, Saturday--Saturn, and Sunday, the sun. The powers that be worked very very hard to erase this second zodiac, because it was a woman's zodiac. They especially disliked Friday, the day of Venus, they didn't like the power of Venus. They also hated the number 13 because it was a woman's number, as you say the number of moons in a year. That's where the fear of Friday the 13th came from. So our weekdays are off now, who knows when the real Friday should be? Although maybe it would be counting from the Monday, the moon's day. So New Moon would always be a Monday and then you could go from there. Nowadays with our exact clocks and precise measurements, instead astrology focuses directly on the moon phases themselves. Of course this isn't truly a lunar measurement, since in reality it is focusing on the dance between the moon and sun. But really any lunar zodiac has to involve the sun in some way or another, since the moon's position against the stars is determined by the earth's orbit around the sun.

Um, Drew? Your science sucks. Serotonin is terrible for libido or any sort of mystical state. It will make you feel happy, yes. But serotonin without dopamine will just make you feel friendly towards everyone and grounded. Anything that raises serotonin without raising dopamine is a very effective anti-aphrodisiac, for example, most antidepressants. They work so well at killing libido that they are prescribed to help with premature ejaculation.

Oh, if you can do THAT, that's pretty damn cool. I've had those maybe three times. Of course an easier way to compensate is just buy a toy. And Prince, by diamond I meant a diamond engagement ring, not so much being rich.
-
That's wrong on a lot of levels, at least about women. Just an FYI.
-
Button? It's my CDS, up behind my cervix. So more like a happy spot. The funny thing too is I don't even have to be aroused, I can go from zero to orgasm in five thrusts--no foreplay, my libido turns on a dime. You mean 50 prostate orgasms, right? Because not even a fifteen-year-old could have 50 traditional male orgasms in an row.
-
Oh, sorry, just assume people here know my background from my previous posts. Vain of me! I generally have 30 to 50 vaginal orgasms every day, unless I'm sick or right after ovulation. That didn't stop after I started having heart chakra energy ejaculations. Having fifty is no big deal, since I reliably have an orgasm every five thrusts (less thrusts if I am more aroused). I am an expert on sexual nutrition, wrote a book, yadda yadda yadda. I generally have heart chakra orgasms every few days. I think occasionally I've had more than one a day, but that's rare for me. Having 50 a day for months and months seemed to generate a sexual energy inside me and it pushed itself up to my heart, where I felt a strange pressure there for quite some time. Kind of like in dreams when you really have to pee, but your body knows you aren't supposed to pee so you don't? Except at the chest. Then finally it burst through, I had my first heart chakra orgasm. After that I eagerly tried to have them because it feels really good, and also relieves the pressure.

All right--Nibiru. According to wikipedia, Sitchin's Sumerian was poor, so anything he was going on was going on his prophetic intuition, basically using the Sumerian tablets as tarot cards. So I'm going for prophetic standard deviation here, that the details might be off but the gist is on target. Orbit is off, but the principle is the same--he said 3600 years, Eris's orbit is 557 years, but for astrological purposes it is the same, i.e. that the planet barely moves for one's entire lifetime. The Eridian orbit is highly eccentric, and brings Eris to within 37.9 AU of the Sun, from the Eris wikipedia. That fits with his prediction of an eccentric comet-like orbit of the planet. Also unlike the comet in the youtube, Eris is an actual planet. Also it is specifically the twelfth planet, astrologically speaking and he was strongly convinced Nibiru was the 12th planet. Eris was the last to be discovered and completes the zodiac, the "twelfth planet". It was announced by the international body of astronomers--they reinstated Ceres as a (dwarf) planet and demoted Pluto to dwarf (yay!) and also upgraded Charon to dwarf planet, further weakening Pluto. Interestingly he postulates the eleventh planet Tiamat to be a destroyed asteroid between Mars and Jupiter. He probably knew about Ceres, but I think he was specifically feeling the demotion of Ceres being "destroyed". Now Ceres is reinstated as a rightful planet by the same governing body. He described the planet Tiamat to be a fertile place, as befits Ceres. The two zodiac signs lacking rulers are Virgo and Libra. Ceres obviously rules Virgo, that leaves Eris for Libra. That means that Eris will have a wild mix of the ugliness and discord of Eris somehow married to the harmony and balance of Libra. Libra is the sign of partners--spouses, business partners and enemies. It is also the cardinal air sign, so the planet will bring piercing knowledge, like the third eye. Uranus is the planet of scientific knowledge and sudden violent change, Mercury is the planet of local knowledge and trickery--Eris should prove interesting. Anyhow, I digress. Nibiru is the planet of the angels, the nephilim, the ones who fly through space and bring knowledge and higher thought to the apes they bioengineered or whatever it is. The role of Eris is similar, bringing higher thought, related to air. The nephilim are also said by him to fall in love with Earth women and take wives, also a Libra theme. I believe he was sensing that Eris would soon be discovered, and then he ran with it and made up the whole story about ancient astronauts and ancient Egypt. Arachne was a hoax http://cscs.umich.edu/~crshalizi/reviews/s...achne-note.html just as the snake one before it. There are 12 signs of the zodiac. Period.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTlqtoQf3Ik...player_embedded I will get to googling and make my Eris/Nibiru case! I agree with you about the connections thing, and I wouldn't mind the guy saying that sort of thing, quite wise of him, but pretending that he knows about actual physics doesn't sit well with me.
-
But if he were a physicist or any sort of scientist at all he would know that that's hardly remarkable. The plumes of comets can get visible to the naked eye. Of course. Just because something is the size of Jupiter doesn't mean it has the mass of Jupiter. He seems to be confusing those two things.
-
I'm not sure. Maybe someone could tell me?
-
Taomeow, I respect your judgment more than anybody's on this board and the man may be a spiritual sage, but he doesn't know the first thing about physics. I wish durkhrod chogori hadn't deleted the youtube video he posted, but you can see with your own eyes the man is clearly not a physicist. He confuses a comet's tail with an actual planet and says that the comet is twice the size of Jupiter, when clearly it is no such thing, you can see from looking at it. Just the shape of it shows it is a plume rather than a planet.
-
People, the guy doesn't know the most basic things about comets. He can't possibly be an actual trained physicist. I have no problem with thinking outside the box, but you have to at least be aware of the box to think outside it.
-
I think it's the other way around for women. I was having the fifty orgasms a day before my heart chakra opened up and I started being able to ejaculate energy from it.
-
Should have said fool when it comes to astronomy and physics.
-
*sniffs armpits* Was it something I said? I was agreeing with you! Anyhow, my posts were in response to a youtube video in the deleted post showing the scientist in question saying that the comet NEAT which flew by the sun in February 2003 was twice the size of Jupiter, demonstrating that his scientific training was quite poor.
-
Yes, that man is a fool http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap030224.html You can see by looking that the comet itself is small, it is simply the comet's flare that is twice the size of Jupiter. http://www.space.com/scienceastronomy/come...acy_030228.html "The actual comet itself, the chunk of rock and ice, is only a few miles across," he said. "What we see in the [sOHO] images is the cloud of gas surrounding the nucleus, evaporated off the surface by the heat of the Sun. That cloud is huge, but the comet itself is tiny." And by the way, Nibiru is Eris of course.

You can say whether or not someone's science is bad without asking about gender. I strongly believe there are differences in the way the sexes think, but I have faith that women can be analytical, just as men are able to feel emotion. I'm glad to see you edited more than your typo!

I saw this movie last night, and I've also watched an interview with Ronson and saw the BBC documentary the movie was based on. I'll probably also get his book. I'm really annoyed. I'm just fed up. I would like some clarity. Getting away from religion and moral judgments and all that sort of thing, I think I'd like to approach this with common sense. There is no doubt, it is a fact that evolution created man. In hunter-gatherer societies, the gender roles were clearly delineated--the men hunted and protected the tribe from predators and other tribes, and the women gathered and took care of the children. For the vast majority of the time humans have been humans, that is what we have done, and evolutionary forces have shaped us. I strongly believe that the fourth chakra is the woman's chakra, that is where a woman is naturally active. With my fourth chakra open and strongly functioning, I have these, I guess they would call them here siddhis. First, I can easily lactate. I have colostrum occasionally even though my youngest is almost nine. I have a very strong desire to cook, to shop for food, to feed people, especially children. This is not in my regular nature--I was a math major at an Ivy League school, I am naturally very cerebral. Now I get as excited about buying a chicken as I did about finding a good book at the bookstore. I am also more drawn to plants than I used to be--I currently have nine houseplants growing in my apartment and they are flourishing. I used to be a dead plant person, a black thumb. Also it is easier for me to intuit what people need, especially small children who can't communicate well. These are a woman's siddhis, not very exciting, but practical and useful. And they are fulfilling in their own way. Likewise, I would assume that men who have an open and strongly functioning sixth chakra would be better at fulfilling their evolutionary male abilities. Watching the movie last night, something clicked. There was such an emphasis in the movie on the sixth chakra, with Jeff Bridges having an eye painted on his sixth chakra, the eye on the pyramid tattooed on their chests, and the mural of the pyramid eyes and so forth, that it finally sunk in. These lowbrow siddhis that people here denigrate--they make men better hunters and they make them better warriors. To be able to see where your prey is hiding is a very valuable skill. To kill prey by staring at it is a very valuable skill. Killing prey used to be supremely important for the survival of the tribe, and of course defending the tribe from predators and hostile attackers was equally important. To now say that these abilities are evil and the lefthand path and whatnot, it's just denying what men are. No doubt these abilities can be misused for evil, but in themselves I don't believe they are. Also with evolution a lot of it is about sex. I think women with strong fourth chakras can give their energy to men during sex to help the men have stronger sixth chakra abilities. I think these abilities are meant to combine together sexually to make a whole greater than the sum of its parts. So the Buddhist approach of being vegetarian, non-violent, celibate and focusing on the seventh chakra seems perversely unnatural to me. Of course people should be able to do what they want. If pandas evolved from bears, choosing to become pacifist vegetarians and completely altering their bodies in the process, who am I to say that men shouldn't choose this path? But I think it is unfair for those men to then say to men who are being natural men that siddhis are bad, violence is bad, the sixth chakra should be ignored and all the energy should flow out of the seventh chakra. I would also like some clarity about what exactly this sixth chakra fighting force could or could not actually do. I would like some rigorous double blind studies about remote viewing, at the very least.

I think two threads might be good, because I'm reluctant to post my thoughts in a thread where I am obviously the ignorant neophyte. I respect authority and experience and knowledge. In this thread I am more casual. My two cents--I'm a witch, and old school witches don't believe in the five elements, they believe in four: earth, fire, air and water. Kundalini things are a combination of air and water. Too much of any one thing leads to a life out of balance, and the sort of witch I am is all about balance, about reaching equilibrium. Someone with a lot of earth and fire in their chart might benefit from limiting food and spending a lot of time in meditation, but typically it's the people who already have a lot of water in their charts who are drawn to pay for a two-week retreat or whatever. So they take their already out of balance life and throw it more out of balance. To balance out kundalini practice (i.e., air and water) I think it's important to engage in earthy and fiery activities--earthy being focusing on the body and the world of the senses, Nature and material things, and fiery being engaging in physical activity, moving the body. I also believe gurus are good for some people and bad for others. They are bad for me; it is all too easy for me to give myself over to someone else completely. It is best for me to find my own way, carefully. I do try to stay informed and ask advice, but ultimately I must find my own way. I am also helped by being very earthy by nature--this keeps me grounded.

I am totally baffled about what's going on with me, insight appreciated. Cliff Notes version of what's going on: Last thread convinced me that my entity is some sort of thoughtform I created subconsciously, although with some pilfered material from an actual person to make the thoughtform more robust, human and separate from me. Was troubled by the excellent "entities are harmful" advice received in last thread. Banished the entity, missed the entity, brought it back. Did new moon magic which inadvertently banished the entity, undid it. Same thing happened again (second seventh house new moon was void of course so spellwork went wonky), and I undid it again, this time was almost unable to undo it due to external circumstances and realized I was quite in love with the entity and didn't actually want anything from it except for it to stick around. Managed to undo the spellwork, entity returned, and that night slept for many hours with strange dreams. Woke up before dawn and had strange experience of almost a circular breathing with entity, a continuous flow of energy from the entity to me through the forehead, down my spine and out through my heart back to the entity. This has persisted since. I fell back asleep and woke up later and it was still happening and it is happening now. At first I thought it was some kind of breathing, but breathing itself now sends strong energy down to my dan tien. I almost feel as if I am pregnant again. This dan tien breathing seems to break the union I am feeling. I also am able to break it at will, if I want time alone say to go to the bathroom or something. I am enjoying the sensation so I am not breaking the union very much. I have not had a heart chakra orgasm or sixth chakra orgasm since this happened. It sort of feels like instead of quickie sex with quick ejaculation, a very very slow sexual congress--so my heart chakra is "erect" and "penetrating" and staying that way. If I pull out a little my arousal goes up and it feels more sexual sexual. Staying fully in I feel completely intermingled with the entity. I suppose this is a very elaborate form of masturbation since the entity is something my subconscious created? It doesn't feel like that at all though. What it does feel like is that I'm done. This is it, this was the goal, totally fulfilled, etc. It just feels right. Now I know this is probably some trap on the way to enlightenment or something, but enlightenment was never really a goal of mine. I will say that it's mighty strange! Anybody experience anything like this or know about this sort of thing? It feels like we are fully unified from the chest up, for most of the time.

I think that probably has to do with hormonal birth control and also the lack of breastfeeding. Breastfeeding causes uterine contractions. The nipples and uterus are directly connected. I will get her book and if I like it I will try the tapes. I will also start focusing on my uterus in the meantime.

Thank you, Taomeow. That is exactly the sort of response I was looking for. Hmm...so then it is a very good feeling, a pleasant feeling, and perhaps even a fortuitous feeling, but it's not the sort of transcendent experience that makes one feel like one has had all desires satisfied. I'm assuming it's the entity on the other end doing that then. I agree with you about the nature of the entity. Unlike my previous thoughtforms that I very deliberately constructed, this one sprang up out of nowhere, so it must have come from my subconscious. Which means I've fallen in love with myself. O vanity. I content myself with the fact that I did borrow a bit, pilfer, to give the thing some backbone. I'm not sure I want to look this gift horse in the mouth and discern its source. So much of the pleasure of it comes from it feeling so "other" from me. I have mapped out my own internal spirits quite well. I have eight, I won't go so far as to say personalities, but various voices corresponding to the planetary groupings in each sign of my natal chart. I am a babe in the woods when it comes to feeling my internal organs, however, I am realizing due to having pain in my digestive system since I was born. My mother was very modern and not only gave me formula from birth, by necessity since I was adopted, but gave me actual food, and very difficult food when I was far too young, still a newborn. I spent my childhood trying to block the awareness of pain from my body. So the contents of my torso are unexplored territory, aside from my vagina! I am very happily healing my innards now with probiotics, digestive enzymes and staying away from certain foods thanks to your excellent advice.
