  1. K?

I loved the drugs that made me "normal." Anything that shot up serotonin. Coffee, cigarettes, antidepressants, starchy foods, candy. After a while I realized I still didn't fit anyhow, and I was dead inside. A far cry from special K!
  2. Who is /are Max's Egyptian teachers?

Well I'm going to skip trying to see how strong those guys are. I've learned my lesson! "Do not meddle in the affairs of wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger. "
  3. Who is /are Max's Egyptian teachers?

This thread is making me giggle. Men and their "my lineage is longer than your lineage!" Mantra, I know you people are very busy with getting your school going and getting publicity and teaching and healing and just the logistics of living and travelling and things, but I was wondering if you could ask Max to help fix global warming? It's getting pretty urgent. Vulnerable spots--energy corporations like Big Oil and Big Coal who are footdragging the world. Also of course pressure points are slowing down China and India a bit, or greening them--he certainly would have a better idea of what's going on over there than me. Max is so incredibly strong, I mean he scares the bejesus out of me, but there's no doubt in my mind he's very strong.
  4. western magic

Well I did sort of break that, um, my ex-husband dared me on something, he said (we live in Boston) "If you're such a hot witch, can't you do something about the Red Sox?" They were down three against the Yankees. Not that I did that on my own! There was lots of energy from others with that, a lot of Red Sox fans out there. But after that he didn't give me a hard time about anything, really, and even one time when he was suddenly afflicted with a mysterious disfiguring untreatable rash all over his face and body, he actually asked me if I did it to him. So I guess it turned out okay, he doesn't mess with me anymore. That was one time where I did mess with eighth house things--did a hex on Babe Ruth.
  5. western magic

Let's see. It's hard for me to respond because I am coming from such a different place. I have no interest in uniting with the Ultimate or being an immortal or whatever. I've already had the uniting-with-the-ultimate experience by having a crown chakra orgasm, but I'd rather have uniting-with-another-person sixth chakra orgasms. I would say my beliefs are founded in astrology. If I have a guiding principle it is to follow my north node. This process is very difficult for everybody, and there are 144 permutations of the north node--more if you count planet conjunctions, so people have their individual paths. What is good for one person can be bad for another. I believe in astrology because I have feeling the effects of transits since birth, and this makes sense and allows me to plan ahead instead of always fighting with myself. I have Pisces rising so it is easy for me to feel the transits, among other things. Magic is just a way of taking advantage in particular of the water planet transits (moon, Neptune, Pluto). Witchcraft, the magic I practice, takes advantage of lunar transits. My north node is Gemini second house. The material world is hard for me, especially money and beauty and sensual pleasure. I take advantage of witchcraft and everything else I can get my hands on to increase those things. My magic is extremely materialistic. I've also hexed for other things like health, but the second house is my main focus. Gemini I must focus on being amoral. It's hard for me; I was an insufferably moralistic prig as a child and young woman. All of my intent is focused on being light, cheerful and superficial. Mercurial, a trickster. As for learning witchcraft, I have never come across a wiccan book that gets it right. Everything is twisted up and wrong, but almost every book does contain some true and useful things. The difficulty is in distinguishing the good from the bad. I have purposely avoided ceremonial magic, because that is eighth house and very unlucky for me. It comes too easy for me, my south node, and can only lead to a bad end. Neptune energy isn't bad, but it is bothersome and unavoidable in my case with Pisces rising. Piscean people have the sight, and it is annoying as hell. It's always in reaction, although sometimes some useful knowledge can be gleaned, particularly the future--for example, I put my 401K in bonds back when they were cheap, I knew this was coming. But witchcraft--using the moon's energy, that's useful. The moon is a cardinal planet so a witch can direct the magic, make positive changes. The moon is ephemeral so the changes are not lasting unless renewed each month. The fundamentals of witchcraft require first a thorough understanding of astrology, I recommend http://www.astro.com to get a start (it's free). There are not three phases of the moon, or four, there are only two when it comes to witchcraft--waxing and waning (yang and yin). The times for spellwork are the hours after a new moon, the hours after a full moon, the hours after the moon trines and conjuncts and opposes natal planets, and the hours after the moon trines and conjuncts and opposes other planets. Spellwork is dependent upon correspondences, and this is where wiccan books can be helpful. Colors, herbs, stones, candles, incense, metals and particular gods and goddesses are helpful. Venus rules my second house, I have Taurus on the cusp, so I follow Venus, I honor Venus in my observances. My particular Aquarius Venus and Gemini second house meshes best with the silliness of the Egyptian Venus Hathor, famous for lifting Ra out of his depression and making him laugh with her comical lewd dancing. Most importantly, nothing can be done with witchcraft, with moon magic, without desire. The moon rules emotional energy and desire, wanting things. If someone, say a taoist, kills off desire then it is impossible to do witchcraft (maybe another kind of magic). That's why it's hard to do witchcraft for other people, because the desire must be personal and sincere. A good beginner's book for moon magic is Jan Spiller's New Moon Astrology. http://www.amazon.com/New-Moon-Astrology-S...1341&sr=8-3

If you want to pay by the page, really it makes more sense to pay by the photograph. I have to check my Frantzis book, but I think this one has more photographs and more detailed.
  7. western magic

Hmmm.... I stay away from the Golden Dawn and Aleister Crowley and all that, I guess I shouldn't be commenting on being a magician. I guess I'd make a distinction in the term "magic," or "magick" if you're going to be, well, whatever that is. There are three sorts of western magic, witches, magicians, and a third kind. They all use the word "magic" so it can get confusing. I don't know about ceremonial magicians, but I know to be an effective witch a woman must work with time. Everything is in the timing of things. Witches generally aren't interested in the same things as magicians, mostly just health, wealth and love and growing green things, taking care of little ones. Protection too, when necessary. And daily luck. That's about it. Demon power, immortality, controlling others--those are eighth house things, not fourth house things. Ceremonial magic is about control, witchcraft is about obedience. I was drawn to witchcraft from pure pragmatism, precisely because it does work, and not just in some microcosmic way.

In Western astrology, this particular energy manifestation is associated with the planet Pluto. Up until the planet's discovery in 1930, this type of thing was hidden and/or shunned. After Pluto was discovered it came into its own. In astrological terms I personally believe that there was an imbalance, because up until the discovery of Pluto, Venus was paired with Mars. Venus held Taurus and Libra and Mars held Aries and Scorpio. After Pluto was discovered, Venus still was paired with Mars. Pluto was jealous, basically, and paired up with Jupiter, making corporate power too big. Pluto tried to swallow up all the money and good things associated with Venus. We would be in trouble with this, except for one thing--they recently discovered the ruler of Libra. The ruler of Libra is the natural mate and opponent of Pluto, the ruler of Scorpio. In particular, people with Eris strong in their charts can singlehandedly take on big corporations and win, for example Al Gore and Arianna Huffington. This planet was discovered in 2005, and that's when things started to change. In particular once it was named and accepted as a full-fledged planet it came into its power. Here are some signs of this planet: The most striking thing is that the planet moves so slowly, basically everyone alive has it in the same sign, and every generation has it conjuncting. This allows an uncanny feeling of unity and instant understanding among entire populations. On the other hand, everyone right now pretty much has this planet in Aries. This means for this century, the planet's power is to be wielded by individual action, aggressive independent action, almost like a knight going on a quest or something. Up until now Libra has been ruled by Venus and there has been an emphasis on physical beauty. Now Eris has come into its own as a cardinal air planet, and beauty is literally in the eye of the beholder, people will be able to see things and people for what they truly are. It is the planet of clarity. Eris is also the planet of balance through discord. Eris people will be fighting for balance, and force the Pluto energy into the restricted place where it belongs--transforming garbage. Instead of corporations focusing on valuable natural resources, they will focus on recycling and transforming. This also includes transforming energy into different things, say from sunlight into electricity. The symbol of Eris is St. George fighting the dragon. If people stand up and fight as individuals, I believe things will change rapidly for the better.

I've calmed down. Just to be clear, I'm only angry at this propaganda hydra I've been fighting for years now. I was surprised to see it pop up here. My apologies for losing my temper.
  10. Join me in a global cooling spell

Now I'm angry. I wasn't expecting that crap here. Big Oil has conducted a massive, massive disinformation and propaganda campaign online and elsewhere. Science has clearly refuted both of those arguments. Some planets in the solar system are warming, some are cooling, so that solar flare theory is ridiculous. This is a good one stop shop to get all the denier debunking you'd like: http://www.realclimate.org/ http://www.realclimate.org/index.php/archi...ndex/#Responses in particular on Mars http://www.realclimate.org/index.php/archi...arming-on-mars/ and cosmic rays http://www.realclimate.org/index.php/archi...-die-so-easily/ To track the tentacles of Big Oil, this is a good website http://www.exxonsecrets.org Even George Bush admits now that manmade global warming is real. It's real. It's happening now. It's very dangerous.

New moon energy--get Jan Spiller's book. It works pretty well! Like, say, on selling books. *cough* Or getting on TV. Not too well for getting rid of things though *looks at belly* even if you say it backwards. I'd be careful with the "decreasing aridness" thing. That's getting rid of a lack, it would work better with new moon energy. Taomeow, I know this thing is very basic--I'm hoping for some extra oomph with the eclipse. But if you have suggestions or different advice, by all means, please let me know! Yoda, I'm actually worried about an ice age, believe it or not. Long story, but I've been a fiend on researching the science the last couple years. Basically you've got the Big Oil people saying nothing bad is happening at all, and you've got the Al Gore people saying global warming is happening and it's urgent, but not to panic. What both groups are covering up is just how scary it is. It's really scary and we are a lot closer to catastrophe than anyone is talking about, because of these feedback loops. Here's a link about the dinosaurs http://www.universetoday.com/2008/04/29/gl...rally-repaired/
  12. Join me in a global cooling spell

Also I have Eris in my first house--I enjoy debate! I'm concerned about time constraints. There's not a lot of time, the feedback loops are already triggered. Within the next several years we may reach the point of no return, we may have already reached that now. Drastic measures could be used to give a temporary reprieve, and by drastic I mean deliberately triggering volcanic eruptions to get enough particulate matter into the air to reflect heat back into space. Happy to provide science links
  13. Join me in a global cooling spell

I didn't say the harm would exactly balance the benefit. I think that there will be some harm, yes, people will be poorer, some people may die. I think the benefit of keeping all people from dying would vastly outweigh the harm. My wish isn't for ignorance to decrease. That has already been happening. The general populace is already much more acutely aware of global warming and the consequences of not acting than they were even three years ago. For that matter a quickly dwindling minority of people support George Bush. But George Bush is still in power, and so are the far from ignorant players in Big Oil and Big Coal, and they are the ones interfering with progress on fighting global warming. If you feel you are strong enough to take on those powerful people, by all means, do so. This spell is more generic, and lets the stars decide how the wish is accomplished. Getting rid of ignorance might happen fully, but that doesn't mean global warming will stop. Magic likes specificity.
  14. Join me in a global cooling spell

I also tend to avoid influencing the outside world and concentrate on myself and my own endeavors. But something must be done here. Of course, there will be harm. As you say, there is a balance. Magic finds the easiest path, like water flowing downhill. The easiest path to stopping global warming is a international economic depression with high fuel prices. So yes, people will be harmed. That's why I added "safely," but you could change the language more. But I'm not kidding about the methane feedback loop. Here is more detailed information from a couple years ago. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/20...06-methane.html
  15. Join me in a global cooling spell

I both agree and disagree. Yes of course, those people have to be taken down, but I wouldn't encourage acquaintances to try that sort of magic as a beginner. I disagree about the level of misery. If global warming is not fixed, there will be no humans to be in misery to begin with. The methane feedback loop will be triggered and life on earth as we know it will be become extinct. If global warming is fixed and the wicked are still at their work, yes, there will be tremendous human misery, but at least there will be such a thing as human misery. If any of your Russian friends can cool things, now would be a handy time http://www.climateark.org/blog/2008/04/has..._climate_fe.asp
  16. I am back

During daylight savings time in the United States, that is 9:00 am - 1:00 pm Monday morning, tricky for those of us with fulltime jobs. Maybe I can take a long lunch and practice in the woods outside my office. I think there might be an English word that fits--perhaps "matrix"? There is the dictionary definition, and then there is also the flavor from the very popular movie about a group of people banding together to join forces underneath the surface reality.
  17. An anarchist erotic: The Sixth Dalai Lama

Not sportsmanlike. It is unnatural for a man to take sexual energy from a woman from her vagina. And even where it is natural, with a woman taking sexual energy from a man's ejaculation, what sort of woman preys on men, even men who are eager to give that energy, without giving sexual heart energy back? That person is the worst sort of vampire, and nothing but wickedness can come from that stealing. I would say there is one exception, perhaps if there is need for a great working and all participants are fully aware of the significance of the energy exchange.
  18. I am back

My goodness, how big is your family! In my experience con men work a lot differently, there is a harder sell upfront. I think the real deal sounds like this--I say this because I am the real deal in a different realm of knowledge, and I went about telling people very similarly, with a similar flavor. A true evangelist lets the knowledge speak for itself and the sales pitch is "try it for yourself and see."
  19. I am back

Now I am worried I was insulting. I should say two things, first that Taomeow is very advanced and also I have been here for quite some time and you are the first person who has posted here that within a day I bought your book and started practicing. I am a beginner but I have a good pair of eyes in my head.
  20. I am back

Oh yes, I didn't mean to say that there wasn't much to it. I expect it will take me a year to learn to do it all properly, maybe more. But it's helpful that it begins at the beginning and explains everything.
  21. I am back

Well I am quite sure from reading this course that this is the right thing for me to be doing. Taomeow, I suspect that you know everything in this course, but for someone like me who has never cultivated, it is very helpful, with lots of photographs showing how to do everything. I did karate a long long time ago, just for fitness, likewise I did tai chi just for fitness eight years ago. I stopped with the tai chi class because I was nursing and the practice brought my milk in, which was embarrassing during class! And then kids and life and all... Both of those were concentrating on power and fighting prowess, even the tai chi class was really to get people to sign up for martial arts classes so there was a lot of aerobic exercise and strengthening exercises. This looks very very different, and fits my natural inclinations very well! Of course I am a complete idiot with all of this, I don't know the first thing about what I am doing. But the book is very reassuring for an absolute beginner.
  22. I am back

Well I am beginning at 42, so that might have given me a leg up! Also I am incredibly lazy, my best feature. If he has done the work of finding all this out, I will take advantage, because I am starting with zero knowledge. I will tell you what you want to know after I receive it. But the pictures he posted seemed right, so I am getting the course.
  23. mantak chia?

I used the google, and got this, (pdf so I'm typing) Well that's not me! Men love me, generally it's women who bristle at my approach. Men aren't out to dominate me, but men I am with I somehow force into dominating me, because I enjoy it so much. I'm a good litmus test of the quality of a man's manhood, I suppose. And this in particular doesn't hold, "never realising that she is in reality held in domination by the unconscious man within herself"--I realize it, that's what I was just saying. I also found another reference that says animus-dominated women are women preoccupied with clitoral orgasms over vaginal ones. Clearly I am some sort of opposite to that! How old are you again?
  24. I am back

Good enough for me! *signs up* Also of course I have been wearing the wuxing symbol in silver around my neck for over a year, so that's a good sign. I also feel like I should add something about this man's group. I have a messageboard where I answer questions from women. I don't restrict membership but I do expect that women who ask me questions have already read my book. Granted, my book only costs $11, but his first book is only $49--it's not like he's charging hundreds of dollars or anything. I think it makes a lot of sense, his time is worth something. It gets tiresome repeating oneself when the information is already easily obtained in a mass-produced form.
