  1. Possible Kundalini experience

Yeah, I think this might have just been a strong surge of energy you know. I feel pretty normal afterwards, although at the time it was very intense. It might have been similar to what Robert describes as chakra strobing, although without the actual strobing. Just releasing the energy like a capacitor. I did have what I believe was an actual Kundalini episode many years ago when I was doing semen retention for a long time, and when I was asleep I woke up with the feeling that my spine was on fire with electricity and it exploded out of my head. It was actually quite painful and it changed my consciousness for a year afterwards with many difficult symptoms.
  2. Any weight lifters here?

Interesting, lifting has never influenced k-type energy going up my spine. And I tend to get energy going up my spine and throbbing at my brow, but pulldowns etc. doesn't effect it. I do 3 sets until failure with failure aimed at 8th-12th rep each set, and this only takes about 10-15 minutes. If you're lifting for an hour you must be doing something differently to me.
  3. cultivation paranoia

OP, yes this can be an issue. For every bit of energy cultivation/work you do, you should probably sit in silence/emptiness for at least 3x the amount of time. That's what I would have told myself if I could go back in time. Increasing the power of an uncontrolled mind can be asking for trouble. Imagine if your thoughts/energy started effecting people more powerfully and you were desperately not trying to "think of a pink elephant" all the time. Pure hell. Been there.
  4. The description of the itchy, bliss feeling reminds me a lot of what I've experienced in my hands/arms. Very pleasurable but almost painful/frustrating. I wrote about it here: http://thetaobums.com/topic/32740-intense-pleasurable-feeling-in-my-right-hand/ It happened to me spontaneously a couple of times, usually a few days after doing energy work from Robert Bruce's N.E.W. system and always located in the same place in the hands/arms. I also sometimes get a similar but different feeling when lifting weights if I've been doing energy work earlier, but only while I'm lifting and then it disappears. It's like a sharp, intense, pleasure mixed with pain orgasmic feeling in the muscles.
  5. damn kundalini at it again

Yeah, I'm all about stuff that works too, that one is definitely going in my repertoire. I'll give the Glenn Morris one a go a bit later, seems interesting.
  6. damn kundalini at it again

Update: I've just tried this exercise and it's really nice. It's calmed my nervous system and I have pleasant feelings in my arms and legs. I think the energy that was going into my head has been diverted through the arms and down. Very nice feeling. *second update*: About half an hour after posting that, very pleasurable sensations are occurring in huyin, wrists, hands and abdomen. This certainly is a powerful practice, my energy system is definitely thanking me for it.
  7. damn kundalini at it again

Fantastic, I could certainly use something like that. I'll give it a go a bit later.
  8. damn kundalini at it again

Interesting, where did you get this exercise from?
  9. Synchronicities are...

From some guy's mushroom trip: "I had an exceedingly clear awareness. I am seeing this all Happen before my eyes. The most unquestionable convincing presentation, it was all one SYNCHORNICITY. Every object, every action, every thought, every living being anywhere, now, throughout all of history, every weather pattern, rock falling from a cliff, a random guy in New York asking for a bratwurst, comment from a cashier. Every occurrence is accounted for. It is all SYNCHRONICITY." Source: https://www.erowid.org/experiences/exp.php?ID=52679
  10. I've just come back from a long late night walk which I had because I was feeling fidgety and in my head. On the walk I focused on sinking my qi simply by using my consciousness to "brush" it down from my head, down through my body and out the bottom of my feet. I was doing this several times and focused on my weight feeling heavier. I started to feel densely grounded, more solid and my consciousness began slow down and be more externally focused, noticing the textures of the pavement and other objects. Another effect I noticed was I was beginning to feel more powerful, in an animalistic sort of way. The feeling did have a dark albeit kind of sexy quality to it though. I wonder how you bring the light down to this level of consciousness?
  11. Sinking Qi and Dark Feelings

My Venus is in Pisces and Mars in Scorpio, you'd think they would get along with there being a trine (very wide though). But my Sun is in Aries and Moon is in Pisces which are very different. I'll start having a think about the state of my Mercury and what to do about it. Good ol' Pluto plays a seems to play a big part in the drama in various aspects of my chart. Nice poem btw. I often read the work of William Mistele, a hermeticist. He's posts some great stuff on his facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/williamrmistele
  12. Sinking Qi and Dark Feelings

This is fascinating, thanks very much for sharing this info. This is actually something that has been an issue for me on and off for awhile when I'm conscious of it. I just realised that I wrote a post on a similar issue some time ago: http://thetaobums.com/topic/30022-feeling-powerful-vs-happy/ In my natal astrology, my Mercury is quincunx Mars and opposite Pluto. Would you say that that the process to take would depend on the planets/aspects involved?
  13. Sinking Qi and Dark Feelings

What and where is the Mercury channel? Never heard of it.
  14. Sinking Qi and Dark Feelings

Ok, I'll start working on some of those suggestions. I feel it's mainly to do with clearing the lower body since that's where the energy was going down to so that's that's probably where the most of the work needs to be done.
  15. You should try seeing a traditional chinese medicine doctor. Seriously, they should be able to help you out.
  16. The OP, I want to seriously recommend 'Ibogaine' to you. It's derived from a plant which comes from Africa and is used primarily to treat heroin addicts. You can take the worst heroin addict, with the worse addiction with no hope of recovering and give them Iboga and the next day they will be completely cured. It teaches you what you must do to live your life in the best way, not in a wishy-washy way but in a solid way. It actually rewires your brain. After taking it you will vomit and then be paralysed in bed for about a day, so you will need someone to tend to you during this time. It doesn't just cure heroin addicts, but it's used for them because they have absolutely no hope elsewhere. It also cures depression, people who are suicidal etc. If you are contemplating suicide just know that there's options out there to take first and this is one of them.
  17. Bax44, from your original post it sounds to me like you've opened your higher centers and are feeling ungrounded. I experienced similar symptoms. Depersonalisation/derealisation, over-emotionalism, feeling like I'm in a dream, loss of libido, loss of self, feeling like nothing matters etc. All these symptoms have deep meanings but are also symptoms of being ungrounded and loosing touch with your lower body/self. Squats using heavy weights helps. As does "the horse stance", putting your awareness into your dantian, testicular breathing and sinking chi. I use these techniques and it sorts me right out.
  18. The Mystery of the Broken Jar

You can gain a lot of understanding of source and the nature of existence from people who have experienced death. I've done a lot of research into near death experiences and it fits in with my understanding on the nature of God and reality etc. If you're genuinely interested in understanding this, I'd recommend checking out some of the research and experiences on near-death.com Source is pure light and love and our original nature. We can, however, block it out and become opaque to it's energy. If you're opaque to light, you are in darkness. Negativity is darkness, being blocked and removed from Source. Ego is the illusion of the individual self separate from God and therefore it's prone to darkness.
  19. The Mystery of the Broken Jar

I feel you, Dreambliss. I was having similar issues, but in a different way. It does take effort, and it can be a battle to shift your vibration to enter a new reality where you're firmly rooted in a positive reality, but when you're there the flow works for you and not against you. I recommend reading this article by Steve Pavlina on How to Switch Dimensions, I think it's very relevant to what you're going through.
  20. Anyone know any good vids / books / pdfs where I can learn the 8 Pieces of Brocade Shaloin style Qigong set? It looks like what I need, but I can't find any vids/docs with instructions on what exactly is going on:
  21. 8 Pieces of Brocade - Shaolin Style

I was looking for a system which works well with my energy. I'm pretty energy sensitive and I've had some crazy experiences from practices I used to do, so I need something pretty fundamental and grounding. I got the sense that this would work well for me.
  22. There's little to no visualization in Clyman's system.
  23. 8 Pieces of Brocade - Shaolin Style

Awesome, I found the DVD I need at http://www.shifuyanlei.co.uk/dvd_shaolin_qigong.html Only £16. I think I'll get that now and possibly the book later. Thanks for the recommendation
  24. Gary Clyman has a similar technique where you breathe energy in to the LDT from outside the body and shrink it down and condense it, and then add a thick layer to it with more breaths and then condense it down further and keep on adding layers and condensing it down further. He likens it to adding layers of an onion and condensing it down. It's a very powerful way of converting Qi in to Jing. I was able to generate a substantial amount of internal power after only a few minutes of this excersise.
