This is something I've been thinking about today, or should I say feeling about. I've noticed that when I consciously feel powerful I can get great things done, people are more inclined to respect what I have to say, be the first to move out of the way while I'm walking down the street and people generally seem to look upon me with favor, which is important in the sales part of my business. When I consciously feel happy and grateful, I become more sensitive and I notice more beautiful things and feel good, but in a flow kind of way. The thing is I haven't been able to combine these two states. When I consciously feel powerful, I loose that feeling of happiness and I relish more in victories. When I feel happy, I feel more at ease and flow but I loose that sense of power. They seem to be such different states I'm having trouble combining them. Does this make sense to anyone?

Yeah, I use Astrodienst for pretty much all my chart creation needs, lots of options there. I haven't really researched Magi astrology, I can't say I know much about it.

Thanks for the replies, there's some very interesting ideas here. I've concluded that power is actually very important in my life and that by combining the feeling of power with the desire to help others / compassion produces its own kind of enjoyable flow state. Since I'm very sensitive to energy nowadays, I noticed that when I would just consciously feel powerful I would get several positive results but would get pain in my body and my heart would close down. By combining the feeling of power with compassion towards others solved this issue and it feels like light, warmth and has a directed quality to it. Also I've made peace with the fact that there's a time for this and a time for that. Which means being in one state doesn't invalidate being in the other state at a different time. I guess looking for the unified theory of everything here kind of blindsighted me to the common senseness of that.

Dana Gerhartd has written an interesting article on the 12th house, worth a read: http://www.astro.com/astrology/in_dgtwehouse_e.htm

Why guess when you can research what people actually experience? Neardeath.com Some Results on Youtube

Near death experiences have always interested me. I was a bit off to say we all go back to enlightenment because if you research you see that many people experience hellish realms after they die as well. But in general you get a picture that we're incarnated to learn and grow and that we all originally come from an enlightened state and kind of "descend" into the realm of materiality to be tested/learn/grow/excersise-free-will.
-
No to all of them. If you can go some place like: http://www.near-death.com and research 50+ near death experiences you start to get a picture that we come from a place of enlightenment and we return to a place of enlightenment but we're incarnated to be tested and to learn.

Am I just going crazy, or getting duller?
HoldorFold replied to WillingToListen's topic in General Discussion
Nope, but I've done a lot of his condensing breathing and it is really powerful like nothing I've done before. I was very interested in cultivating Jing for physicality and not so much about converting Jing into Chi and Gary's condensing breathing really did it for me in a big way. -
Are you sure that you're injaculating in your sleep? It should come out in your sleep as a nocturnal emission unless you are controlling it to make yourself injaculate.

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend MCO at all. The condensing breathing might help ground you in addition to building Jing. Also lots of physical excersise helps. I know a thing or two about acting on the Law of Attraction under stressful circumstances Several years ago I had Kundalini activity from various practices I was doing in combination with taking lots of Mephedrone (I won't touch drugs with a barge-pole anymore). It culminated in me hearing actual voices tormenting me 24/7 for several weeks, everywhere.. in public, at home... everywhere saying the most horrible shit imagineable. In addition to this I had demonic attacks at night regularly. If I had one thought go astray I would have a barrage of torment. It was pure hell, undescribable. A huge part in what helped me was writing goals down, finding what I wanted to aim towards, focusing on it, using positive emotions, going into the void and using my whole being to pull myself out of the pit. But now I'm fine. 100% fine and so much stronger from it. I'm running a successful company which I started from scratch and my life is getting better all the time. -

That's awesome man. You should write some goals down. It's important to have them written down. If you don't know what goals to do, just think of something. If you want a girlfriend, write that down. If you want to be successful, find a vision of success. Start somewhere, you can change your goals later. I would recommend doing an excersise to increase your Jing seeing as your Jing has probably been burnt out by your K-awakening. I can vouch for Gary Clyman's condensing breathing excersise, you at least try it out: Part 1) Part 2) Remember that you have power in your world. Read into the Law of Attraction if you haven't already done so man. You have to learn to ignore people's negativity because it will just create more of the same. And you need a new vision. If you want happiness and joy, then make a vision of that and focus on the elements, no matter how small they may be, in your day to day reality that have seeds of that emotion and ignore the negativity. Let the light in brother! -

Astrology as an art/science is not for everyone just like art and science are not for everyone. It's like saying "What is the point of physics? Only meditation can help." The renounciation of your interests to only persue meditation is a very different topic.

Ah yes that would make sense. Astrology really is amazing. Since I've been doing it I will often get intuitions about people's signs based on their facial appearance which is 80% of the time correct and when it's not then it's always a sign of the same element of my guess. Like I might guess that someone is a Leo/Scorpio and then it turns out they are an Aries/Scorpio or a Leo/Cancer. The intuition comes from my subconscious searching the database of faces that i know of the same sign combinations. It's not something I can do on demand with anyone, but when I see a certain face type. This makes me think that astrology would be very easily proved correct with facial recognition software and data analysis. I wonder when someone will get around to doing that?

Mercury is at a later degree of Aries than my Sun so my planet of oriental appearance would be my Venus in Pisces. That's something new for me actually, I haven't really been exposed to that term before. By the way I started using equal houses many years ago so I don't get intercepts, I actually find it more accurate although the other house systems still hold an influence of course.

Interesting about the 12th house and phD's, that reminds me a bit of Michel Gauquelin's work regarding eminance and the cadent houses. So if you're a Scorpio rising and Pluto is more elevated than your Sun in Virgo then you must be aged around 50 of the Pluto in Virgo or Leo Generation? I'm of the Pluto in Scorpio generation (1984). It's in my 3rd house opposite Mercury and I also have Mars and Saturn in Scorpio and Pluto is the final depositor of all my planets and my Sun is in the 8th. So I'm a bit Plutonian in a roundabout way I suppose.

I've recently purchased Damo Mitchell's "Daoist Neigong: The Philosohpical Art of Change" book, and have started doing the Ji Ben Qigong 8 excersises he presents: • Compressing the Pearl • Flying Hands • Opening the Chest • Upholding the Moon • Swimming Dragon • Diagonal Flying • Cow Turns its Head • The Heavenly Bow The illustrations for these excersises are a bit hard to follow, namely the parts where you would flow from one stage of the excersise to the other, so I'm not really sure if I'm doing them correctly. Does anyone know where I can watch video demonstrations of those excersises? Many Thanks

Ah, that's exactly what I was looking for! Thanks man.

I've studied proper western astrology for about 10 years now. In a nutshell, there's a lot to astrology beyond your Sun sign. Most people know their sun sign because our calendar is based around the sun so it's easy to work out, however in actuality all the planets including the moon are involved in astrology, and the angles they make to eachother when you were born are important. And the horizon of the earth in relation to the planets and the signs are important and create what's called "houses". People with planets in the 8th house, 12th house or with Neptune or Pluto making an angle to their personal planets (Sun/Moon/Mercury mainly) are generally into the occult/spirituality. Neptune seeks to dissolve things, the ego included. And Pluto is more about power and makes the individual want to probe the depths of things. Atomic energy is ruled by Pluto for instance (pure power by probing the deepest aspects of physicality).

Hey, I'm new to the forum and I've got to post in here for awhile apparently. I'm 29, used to do a lot of chakra stuff when I was growing up which led to some weird phenomena. Over the past few years I practiced amateur Qigong, like the microcosmic orbit, breathing chi in to the dantian and things like that. I've also experienced "O at a D" like that Drew guy on this forum was talking about. I stopped my practice for about a year after some messed up effects and this time I know what I want to get out of it which should align to my life goals etc.

Is Social Conditioning or Biology responsible for negative behavior?
HoldorFold replied to Flolfolil's topic in General Discussion
I've studied proper astrology for about 10 years and can say that there are aspects in an astrological chart which can predispose someone to negative behavior from birth. These aspects can point to negative events in the person's early life though which end up shaping their behavior later on. These events are karmic/fated to happen but at the same time there is always free will and choices in life. There will be opportunities to work on becoming a better person and the person will have to make a choice which path they want to go down. -
Energy becomes agitated during inner smile and microcosmic orbit
HoldorFold replied to Republic Of Zen's topic in Daoist Discussion
I believe that for every bit of time you do the type of meditation where you move energy around you should spend at least double the time doing a void meditation, e.g. just sitting in silence becoming the emptiness. I had to learn that the really hard way. Stillness and silence should be the foundation imo. -
I recently came out of three months of semen retention. During that time I wasn't even practicing Qigong. I was, however, doing some Yoga poses. The pose that helped me when I was nearly going insane from sexual frustration was the celibate pose. I recommend.
