  1. What is Lao Tzu?

We might run into that issue of how energy "begets" consciousness. It doesn't, because it already is. Energy is created through differences. Dualities, polarities... I guess knowing it doesn't make much of a difference. What might make a difference is where you're knowing it from. I liked your quote. It reminded me that a lot of "spiritual" practices are these attempts to cease identification with the body/mind/spirit which IMO is what one wanted to do (identify)in the first place as an incarnate being. Figuring that a return to something that is "pure" spirit after one's "fall" into matter is feasible. But that's IMO just more crazy dualism. Think "continuum" Mr MH!
  2. What is Lao Tzu?

I'll give you what I figure I "know" about enlightenment mr MH. Enlightenment is the realisation that you are pure consciousness in human form and all the rest is pure consciousness in other forms. So that would include matter (just condensed consciousness). If, prior to this realisation you had believed in God or gods or anything else 'out there' in terms of the 'divine' well, by the time of your enlightenment, you would realise you are it. As is everyone else. But I don't see much in there that's different from the Taoist position on things.
  3. Taoist Relationships

Thank you! My "i" isn't very good at holding apparent paradoxes. Until i think about them for a while. For this one I came up with "as above, so below" but as you can see I'm just dusting off a second-hand concept to use on something I'm stuck with. The universe mastering people are Rishis i think. They create universes to solve riddles or just for fun. They're supposed to be smart and compassionate and all that. I personally think we're better off without such intermediaries but we've been used to handing ourselves over for so long...
  4. What is Lao Tzu?

    Edited for being pointless :-)
  5. Taoist Relationships

Oh please share SIME! I have just run into this very issue between Bazi and meditation/mindfulness/true self. Can't seem to reconcile those perspectives for the moment.
  6. Tao save world

This is a cool post. There's another movement like this described by an economist. When i can get my paws on it will post.
  7. The jury is still out on john chang?

My take is if your reality isn't a bit weird then you're not fully in it. You're in a fake one. Which as a possibility itself is weird. I happen to need matches or a magnifying glass to set things on fire but if you think of it, they're just props:-)
  8. Chakra detox?

It could be detoxing and you shouldn't pay attention to it except when you should:-) I wouldn't worry about the devils and whatnot but if you have actual health concerns coming up, I'd get them checked out. But don't get fixated on those either. Smiling and waving to your devils:-). For the rest, I'm not an MD.
  9. Apocalypse Culture

    The wha...?
  10. Apocalypse Culture

I tried to post Prince's 1999 as an illustration but it doesn't work so well mobile. Yes I've noticed a lot more "end of times" talk (aside from my idea that "end of times" is just equivalent to the mystic experience of ego-death) I had another idea that recalling death/catastrophe (because we're all going to die in one way or another, sooner or later) might be just the kick in the butt some folks are seeking, to be able to do whatever they want to do. Hey, won't deny a dying person several hundred last wishes huh:-)? I figure if you're going to have an apocalyptic culture, might as well be as hedonistic as possible:-) Except the "end times" we pick are sort of, er, arbitrary. Many of them happened before (apparently).
  11. How To Go Unnoticed By Negative People

Would that explain why I sometimes get stared through? I like the ideas on how to deal with "negative" people better. Happens I can't avoid people. I work with people.
  12. Well they won't do it for you but they might help you in a few ways. If you focus on the way they feel (if they're on you) and their texture and weight and temperature and then if you hook in to their symbolism either "by the book" or freeform. I'm pretty sure they could help some folks further than looking at the tip of their nose. Obsidian is used in hot stone massage and they really draw you out:-) IME. People use supports of all kinds during meditation. How about that cushion and that incense and those robes and gestures? :-)
  13. OK Seriously Where To Get KUNLUN BOOK?

"all people have the ability to access the infinite source of energy" What he said :-)
  14. Damn. I knew I was reading that Ayahuasca interview book for some reason:-) - nah, I'm just cherrypicking :-) Righto. Stones are not part of my personal experience much - although I guess Obsidian has been. Anyway it might be interesting for someone so I'll talk about it. The interest being that one's relationship with anything (be it stones, or plants, or other people, or animals, or corporations) is never a one-way street.
  15. Spontaneous Movement Qigong

I had a lot of fun with Kellogg's when I passed by the 'family' home in Anne Arbour and I dug a little more into their history. Seems the bro's diverged upon the 'right' thing to do. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Harvey_Kellogg
  16. Bone Marrow

Nice! Loved the part about 'Philosophy...'
  17. "Pumping" or "pulsing" sensation

I get it if I've been in motion a lot (lots of driving, walking, -ing) I relate it to 'inner ear' fluid balance and heightened sensitivity from meditation/awareness practices. I've found the muscle-release stuff tends to be a whirring thing that seems to decrease itself if you let it. I've had lots of sacral pulsing but I'd be hard-pushed to declare the cause. I can even do it on purpose now but I guess that's about as smart as flexing anything else :-) There was an interesting post somewhere here about the basic flexibility/sensitivity of certain body areas. I'd ask Joe Blast. Rainbow Vein had a very cool video of one of her teachers doing some 'spontaneous' stuff.
  18. Global Revolution!

I just posted on Hot Nirvana Judo Trend's profile about money and its chi.
  19. Spontaneous Movement Qigong

It does or it doesn't change anything? The labelling? I'm not quite sure I understood the first part (I didn't :-)) but the second part was very interesting. Good post :-) Special K was my favourite breakfast cereal, when I ate cereal. Now I shudder at the thought of Shreddies and I cower before Tony the Tiger And I despise Mini-wheat, especially with frosting. And I hate Pop Tarts.
  20. ...but since it got all caught up in itself (which btw is what its chi does, ha, finally understood;-) I think) then, um, it requires it's controlling 5E to bring it into line:-) Which I think might be happening :-) Good times!

  21. i checked out your money thread. I suppose I should post there. I think my turning point with money came when I realised I ought to separate it (the money' from whatever I wanted to accomplish, or my own 'value' or any of the other 'things' we think that money represents. It's possible it used to (i.e. as a 'stand in' for actual exchange of tangibles)...

  22. OK Seriously Where To Get KUNLUN BOOK?

Hum. I do happen to prefer a smoother ride for everyone I don't think there's any real merit in suffering anything much :-) Max was being a pussycat today when I thought of him. Michael Lomax is just sort of around me in various conversations that we haven't actually had but we've had, if you get my drift. I was thinking about how one's culture plays through (or not) the 'spiritual' thing. Just throwing the 'spiritual' on top of oneself IMO/IME is a bit weird. Ok, so I change this filter for another one but only in appearance. I think when I talk about the 'right' to help, it reminds me of the 'right, to have full humanity and love and all kinds of things. Things that are a given. That you came in with. That sort of thing.
  23. Spontaneous Movement Qigong

I'd go check out Steven Levine and the TRE guy on this one. I do think there's a negative feedback loop that a person can get into. About which spirits are 'out there' vs which are 'in here' well, I figure it depends on a lot of things. Of course (you know by now;-)) my ideal is to give people as much of what I think might be helpful to them on their path as I can in a 'take what works, leave the rest sprit". IMO/IME labelling something may or may not change it's way of interacting with you and vice-versa.
  24. Global Revolution!

Ha, I was arguing with someone about this very thing yesterday (gotta love those synchros :-)) and I was trying to discuss ways of changing the incarnation so it doesn't do this. All seemed to be going well, then Neo-Darwinism and logic based on that premise was shot at me to defend the corporation as a 'natural' entity. I don't know if it's 'natural' or not but the way I see it, a corporation has the capacity to 'go Windago' on us and so we ought to have 'ways' of defending ourselves against them and not the other way around. In other words, 'we' should control 'it'. I suppose if this 'control' issue was pointed out properly to 'corporate heads' they might feel slighted enough to retaliate to show 'who's boss' :-)
  25. Thanks!

Lots of things are dead chi. Which is why they don't have such a great impact on living people :-)
