  1. My left hand path (for -K-)

If I recall correctly, Drew H seemed a bit that way too:-) He mentioned i had really good jing, plus i found him a bit "peeping tom" overall. So do/did some of the buddhists. Just don't go biting folks that don't want it:-) If i also recall properly, one has to formally invite vampires:-) Cheerleading doesn't count:-)
  2. Hur. I don't think they were saying that either:-) Howevs IME, if the heart is left out of the process, well it's just left out and i think it helps balance things so one is less of a Tulku and more of a multidimensional being. But that's a) just my opinion And b ) just my take on what i figure tulkus are. I dunno if one can be an enlightened tulku, given those things need the inflative energy of others and don't realise their own connection/creation for themselves - hence my "Gabs" jibe. I hope you don't mind if i ask if you're ok. IME this stuff CAN get dodgy. If you're ok, all i did was ask:-)
  3. My left hand path (for -K-)

Wow! Very very scary (to me:-)) And I'm happy that you're doing it. Being open and enduring:-) I can't even bring myself to discuss such things on TTB's as I am afraid of losing my (well, what i think is) my cutesyness pseud, although i suspect i crossed over into bitch category for some not so long ago:-)
  4. Minor Electric Current?

Well, funnily enough I had that "sparks off the tongue" stuff today. I was at the dentist who had injected a bunch of whatever they inject for painkilling. So I didn't feel any pain, but lots of sparks. When I began qi-gong, I recall getting that stuff a lot more. And I did have a thought yesterday or today that there was some more "rewiring" to be done. I've gotten apathetic about this stuff. Oh yey, more rewiring. Sure
  5. I happen not to believe in god, although I think i do think we are all bits of god. I think it must be tough going for anyone to experience a change in their belief or their perception. I can't work out whether cultivation practice is just a way to keep up with things or if it precipates understanding of what's going on anyway? Y'know, I'm tending towards the latter. I kind of prefer the idea I'm doing something, rather than blearily-eyed riding along. So yeah, freaking hard on many people, this stuff. I'd cut the Tulku some slack:-)
  6. Nah, seriously dude. Methinks you've overdone something (possibly meditative stuff or other). Are you alright? And I don't mean that in a "hey, come back here and conform to consensus" kind of deal. If you're alright, it's alright. You CAN be an a$$hole if you want too!
  7. Mwaahahahahahahahaaaaaaaa. Tulku-man. You have become a Tulku, yes:-) But IME, IMO, Tulkus are a bit like the marshmallow dude in Ghostbusters. Mostly one or two dimensional, requires feeding. You've done pretty well off the bums so far. I respect your desire to remain in your current fullness of yourself. Don't let any of those folks neither heartfelt nor concerned about you in any way deflate you. If you're tanglng with Gabs n all (my pet name for Gabriel) could you put in a good word? Thank you! Amen
  8. Taoist Relationships

Which, thanks Witch! Is a neat transition to "left-handed" ways. How would you describe them aside from what the casual observer might say? I am presently reminded of those mudbathing random hindu folks. What I meant by my remark was that I found it seriously strange that an adult woman would have to put herself (or her behaviour) into a spiritual category sort of apart but named as such so sort of acceptable ("as long as there's not too many "left-handers" like you" ( not you per se Witch). Anyways. At such levels, the boys seem to be more interested in other stuff:-)
  9. death

Welcome to TTB Mrs V:-) But, do you reckon you could get your own pseudo? I find it weird, like family email addresses or combo-names for yachts. Sorry!
  10. Hold paradoxes:-) Then you might find they are not. Nothing cryptic. Just like a hot geek:-)
  11. BTT I'd never realised it didn't bump itself if you edit. For Mssrs Vortex and Slopps:-) My suggestion: before typing any search terms, put yourself in the frame of mind of a girl/woman with bf troubles. I think that would make the search more fruitful :-)
  12. Taoist Relationships

I liked what Witch said. Do what you want:-) I think that many people have learned in some way that to do what they want they have to impress or influence someone else in some way. IMO/IME. I can't figure out (yet) if this is a leftover from "normal" childhood developmental processes that somehow gets haulted for various reasons or what else it could be. I guess to test it, I'd have to go find people who do what they want aside from haulting conditions of any kind. I mean seriously, a 40 y.o has to explain away her "what I want" of sexuality as "left-handed"?? Why? My other POV on this is that it's better to find someone you like and who has forthright energy to them. I think sometimes "ists" can use the "ism" as a justification for already iffy tendencies:-) AND that some parts of the practice process can be seriously weird. I'd go wu-wei on this one:-)
  13. Qi gong without Gong

Good post Steve! Although I'm not entirely sure about what I'd term "crap creep". I guess because I'm of insufficient cultivation, yes i find it does "return" except i don't reckon it's "returning" really. What I might be doing is buying it back. Now what I have to figure out is why. Why am I buying it when it's so obviously ridiculous? Time to go gopher-hunting methinks:-)
  14. Thoughts, like blowing leaves

Yourself is right there:-) Or in my case right here:-) Take off the stories "about" yourself (includes the ones other people have told you or that you have inferred as a result of interacting with them) And...you're there. Or here in my case. And once you're done taking them off, well you can have a larger say in the ones you keep:-)
  15. Do I smell a third world war?

"Each generation defines its own values. These values are based on what we see, what we are told, and what we read." That's interesting Mr MH. I feel that as a child of some very strange values i have had to work quite hard to rid myself of them:-) Now and then however, my "values" hurt me because I go against them. Or because another sheep slaps my wrist for not conforming. Good practice material, however:-) The thing that I don't see mentioned is the way values get shared amongst people in generations. From what I understand of the world, different people are taught to value very different things depending on what social caste they fall into. I don't know much about the issues spoken to here but I think instinctively, nations that cheat their people out of health and wealth do not get my assent. The sick-care industry is another big topic.
  16. Immortals (Xian Shi)

Hmm, I've heard that before somewhere:-) I think my mother warned me about you:-) You are an organic being, right? Not an inorganic one (like a corporation or someone ignoring all their human bendiness, or who is trying to because of some religion?) If so, then I'm fine with your statement:-) But if you've been taken over by the non-organics then I'd have something to worry about:-) My references are the Sophia myth and some ideas about windagos (sp?). I think we've been through the onlooker/looked on thing and I do agree with you, I'd just like to know what kind of 10,000 thing you are:-) Stay bendy! Sweetpea

  18. Agh, where to begin? Strawmen and slipperly slopes and arguments and justifications to show me just how much I do not care. I believe i had been quite transparent with ya, about not particularly caring and why. Now I do feel quite bad about your remarks but I'm not sure why. Not your problem, thankfully:-) I am not a "quality poster". Last time i checked i was a person, albeit a qi-gong practitioner, not a rhetorician- although that stuff seems to work:-) No wonder my teacher's teacher got into it:-) It seems so much more valued than anything else. Cynicism aside, I think he might have realised just how much:( Edited to add the missing link. It crashes my mobile so best access from elsewhere https://adwords.google.com/o/Targeting/Explorer?__u=1000000000&__c=1000000000&ideaRequestType=KEYWORD_IDEAS#search.none Easier if you Google "Google keyword tool". It's at the top of the list. So folks can type in terms and find out what related terms other people are using to find "related" things. Based on Google's secret sauce, of course.
  19. My argument was a strawman and I showed inconsiderate behaviour that is below me. Slippery slope:-)
  20. Oh. That's not the really cool google keyword tool i meant. I'm presently mobile so will post it later. Y'know Slopps, I thought about this again today and I suppose it did spur me onward/ remind me that that's what folks want from me when I make a statement. Should I give em what they want in terms of justification - biblio style? If so, should I do it every time? I think convention would dictate that I do. Now tell me, is following convention laziness? I just had another awesome idea for an internet biz. "bibliographies for every reference". Sorry to you, but I actually enjoyed the fact that I was honest about not being bothered more than I was concerned about the anticipated flack. And thanks for having (previously) such a high opinion of me that it could be diminished so contritely;-)
  21. It's not a tactic. On this (and many other issues) I've found out that spoonfeeding resources is pointless. The web is filled with forums of the type I mentioned. Maybe if I knew the links I had were really rare, I'd post. I won't bite too much at the "intellectually lazy" or "below you" remarks but I did anticipate that me deciding in this case it was fine enough for others to go do their own legwork on this one would gather a bit of heat:-) If you use the Google keyword tool you can even find what related search terms people are using for things:-) Edited to add: And it even gives stats on how many searches are carried out for specific terms. Just put in there "boyfriend trouble" or "bad boys" and you'll see:-) Man, that's an even cooler link I just shared:-)
  22. Immortals (Xian Shi)

"This realm is like a TV channel. If your cultivation is low, you watch low channels where not many unusual things can happen and things are locked down by many rigid rules that are ascribed to Nature. If your cultivation is high then you're watching higher channels and there are more possibilities and Nature is less rigid and its rules are more abstract." It's "Like TV" here??? Goldie (i was trying to figure whether that would bug you or not. I thought it might so I'm chancing it could be an irritant). TV??? Lookie here at this channel. "Nature" is not abstract. The BS that we come up with in relationship to nature (and we've IMO collectively been through the whole "subjective contains the objective" malerky) most probably is. Are you going to get to the "is" at some point?
  23. Hmm, you could Google it. I can't be bothered. I've read them in the past as a kind of permissive move. Then I read some opposite type stuff. But really, the best I've been reading recently has been on here. I think it's a diverse enough joint for me on the gender issues.
  24. "And there are those who would or could do better if they became more aware. I don't think it would be right to force it on them but if they were made aware then they could make their own choices." Well, it's a tough card Mr MH. Since what the "bottom line" folks are doing is plain ole deception IMO/IME. How would a Taoist figure that one out?
