  1. The picture looks like the way I "do" it (whatever 'it' is) these days. Both directions = spirals.
  2. Remind me of the definition of mind again? Because depending on that then IMO the answers are different.
  3. How did Chi Kung Improve Your Health...?

Message? Alright, let's put it another way. Chi-gung leads you (or me, or anyone) to lead your (or mine) awareness to places that may have been unreachable for decades due to avoidance. Why avoid? Because it generally hurts for a variety of reasons. Much like an injured area will have it's circulation cut off to aid escape. I figure that if you just ask someone to use breath/concentration meditation then they could probably avoid parts of themselves like that for years. The other strange thing I've found with chi-gung is the development of 'control' over muscles that I wouldn't have expected to be able to move. Very specific ones too. Mostly the ones associated with rigidity in attitude:-)
  4. How did Chi Kung Improve Your Health...?

Stuff taught in Kap. Includes: - mco - belly breathing - secret smile (although I found that tough) - a couple of breath mantras - mindfulness - compassion meditation And reading TTB'z and homeopathy - so I guess that's quite a lot of stuff!
  5. I wish you both:-) So now is maybe not the time to question why the f$ark such smart folks seem to be concerned with kiss off letters then?
  6. Just sort of a sort of aside. Would you equate love with oxytocin/vasopressin and happiness with a serotonin/dopamine er, "balance" and family and friends with some kind of...psycophysiological (yeah, i know i missed The h, ack iPhone) equation? I'm figuring you might and it's way cool that you are and i sort of hope you haven't gotten overly scientifico-biological with this stuff. Yes, I do believe yer right, but damn.
  7. I don't know but I figure it's probably an enlightening experience (and it wouldn't IMO/IME be the only of its kind) When it comes to enlightenment, there's a bunch of definitions. Ironic, laughable, I figure :-) If I had a heart emoticon I would puff it up and send it online. But I can't online (send puffed-up hearts). I figure that's part of it (the elightenment thinging, knowing where you can and can't take action, and why. Or maybe it's just getting rid of the whys...
  8. How did Chi Kung Improve Your Health...?

1: 3 years more or less 2: Sort of all the time 3: Cured panic attacks, depression and reduced anxiety I'm sorry I don't measure everything.
  9. " focus is on bringing more love and light in,..." Sounds like smth worth doing. But how exactly?
  10. Nice posts GIH. I like it when what you're saying can help people rather than just proving a point.
  11. Three Kinds of Spiritual Teachings.

"Since you want to play around with (change or deny) words and meanings to make your pov more palatable. " I thought that was the point of communication. Oh crap, then I realise I'm supposed to say what I mean and do what I say. I tried that but since everyone else had said it first i failed.
  12. Three Kinds of Spiritual Teachings.

I'll take stab:-) What he's doing is using "light" as a metaphor for awareness (conscious, I'd say). I think where it might get confusing is the extent to which folks understand that the metaphor is also the thing he's talking about. I guess he's saying "lightless" to stop people confusing the kind of light they see with the other one that does the same in metaphor, but like i said, it's the same stuff. Ok, now I've confused myself:-)
  13. 'No self' my experience so far...

That's almost as horrible as the r-word :-p
  14. Three Kinds of Spiritual Teachings.

Yeah, I noticed that too :-) So telling people doesn't seem to work either then? Why? I figure because they'll only take their own word for it. And why's that? No idea:-)
  15. I don't get how what KW is saying discounts the mutiple or implies one-ness. Maybe I just warped what I heard to agree with what I already figured. Wouldn't be a first...
  16. Thanks SB! I happen to agree with KW and it would be interesting to find out what the pitfalls people are falling into when they get taught are. VMarco. Interesting post. I've had "moments" of feeling something similar. Should be easy enough to create some experiments to test it. Then I thought, such a shame so many people are peeing in the pool...
  17. Sifu Chris Matsuo

I recall one of my teacher's teachers saying for most people MA was pointless in a street fight. But I figure it might help some folks avoid them in the first place.
  18. " I DO NOT recommend taking MDMA, LSD, mushrooms,..." Sounds sound enough to me. I can't talk to any of the other things though. I suppose if there were a scale of things NOT to do, those would probably be at the top of my list. But my question is WHY? Not because those things are illegal. Although I'm sure that doesn't help to elucidate it much. I read a book the other day about substances that mimic or 'switch in' for others in the human body. There was a post or 2 about different types of salts a few weeks back. Oh, then Vmarco's milk post. I'm figuring we might have something similar going on with the products you mentioned.
  19. 'No self' my experience so far...

And sunglasses, apparently. Sure. It's all very nice. But while all of this is all very nice and we're feeling all nice about it. in other parts of the world/elsewhere. Not so nice things are happening. Are you saying there's nothing to be done? Let 'em all suffer under the hand of god??
  20. 'No self' my experience so far...

So Seth, you're saying we put ourselves through this for nothing then? Sounds weird as hell to me.
  21. A list is a really good idea (IME). I still do it sometimes, but it does seem to work, which is kind of scary I don't know 'how' it works. I guess practice hasn't yet revealed that one to me, yet. In fact, I think I love living because it's so damn interesting. And the more you do it, the more it seems to do you back. Which is also quite strange.
  22. "Lastly ... K's point ... if I understood it ... if the mystic dwells in truth and reality (the mystery) is truth ... then how can it be oppressed by lies anyway? " I still don't know. But IMO if you're a mystic then unless you're grounded in the world doing something, the risks could be quite real that you'll end up on the coat-tails and under the thumb of some seriously twisted individuals. I know, I don't seem to have a great opinion of mystics. Maybe it wasn't always that way.
