"when people pay they expect results" Jade away Mr Apech Stuff like this, I don't think you can buy it. Of course you CAN buy books, time with teachers, flights to go meet teachers etc All of which seem to me to be valid. But on another level, this stuff (I think) happens despite our petty economics. I think I've mentioned before that my giving a couple of hundred quid to an excellent teacher was no big deal for me. The "deal" is what happened in proximity to my decision to do such things. I mean I suspect few people get up in the morning and go "hey, this would be a really good idea, to have a freight train sensation running up my spine". Or even "chi"- what's the draw?

"some people do not need an awakening" I think I agree. But what if someone "desires" one? The desire itself is a driver. And what about people who were minding their own business and got whacked by an awakening (for which some cultures seems to have little inherent tolerance)? "Kundalini" is being marketed hard, I agree. But so are many other types of "spiritual" experience. Just look at the adwords at the top of this site. There was a while back here, it was "Kunlun". We just happen to be parsing another round. This is why I like TTB's so much. What would be interesting is to look at the statements that "K" marketing uses to attract people. And I'm not referring only to Susan and Santi, there's a bunch of people doing it. What I think is very wild is that so many practices become available to so many people. In the past, maybe there was only one old dude on a hill that knew it and you had to do it his way because - well, he's an old dude with one way. It's a given, I think, that some people develop themselves more than others.

This is good news:-)

At last! Great post. Another reason to set the internal verbiage on a lower volume (or stop it altogether) because it will make up "reasons" for things like this that you didn't even do to yourself Worse, you might do things to yourself because they were done to you. Bleh. I guess we could still hash out the "if you're inside your mother's womb, who are you?" thing...

No, I don't think it does either. Once you get to a certain point and realise that you'd been "cultivating" all the time without knowing it - it starts to make sense to pursue it with knowing it, and then it seems it just does. But I think it's possible to fall back asleep at the wheel.

It's both a point and a pressure area from what I've looked at. Anyway, my take is that sitting in FL puts pressure on this point and area (as well as a bunch of others I'm sure).

The reference is on page 225 of "The Dao of Chinese Medicine". It's an approximate understanding that I sort of hashed together. Worst kind of understanding IMO but still, cherrypicking is something we all do. I'm sure Trunk or someone knows what I'm on about.

Yey!

I was splashing around in that Dao of Chinese medicine book and I found a reference to an acupoint on the front of the leg, a couple inches down from the knee. It seems this specific point has very interesting effects (I will go dig it up when I have more time) and it occurred to me that pressing down on both of these leg points at the same time might be one of the goals of full lotus (amongst others). The reconfiguration of the human energetic structure to me seems to be the goal of many (all?) asanas. This is not to take away from the incredible results of yoga, to the contrary!

"Has anyone got stories to share or good information on the Juices, what and how they may happen?" Spontaneously Meh, I haven't been very "juicy" with it so far. When it started I got all shocked and embarrassed. Then I got used to it. It's been much more physical/emotional healing and heart stuff. Although I did get the golden pelvis bubbles a while back and the ticklish stuff curling here and there. It's sort of "settled" into a "giggly" feeling (without the actual giggles) for the moment.

Where's my pony?

So itsa lookin like mind is inherently limited. Oh well, I suppose it's still worth pushing the limits on it. Or maybe just shutting it up entirely to get a bit of peace? R_V I looked at your curious question. i think you can probably answer it better than I could. Especially if you can get a "hold" on two very similar bodily sensations and compare them. But I'm not sure if I can even do that. I don't reckon they're ever exactly the same. Sure, some sensations share what seems like common traits, but I've played around with some of them enough to know that context and interpretation seem to go further than I think (or is even useful). What does seem to happen more often is I get a) scared of my own bodily sensations B ) pull back from feeling them. Both of the latter cause real problems. All kinds. Edited because of the thing that happens when I do a b ) without a space between the b and the ) ( )

"if it is so unlimited how come it projects all this crap?" This is a VERY good question. I don't know the answer to it. I think we get taught it? I'm not trying to be obtuse on purpose, the limits of language prevent me from explaining this point of view (mine) properly to anyone. Sounds pompous, but language is pompous (it can also be beautiful BTW) Asking "why" or "how come" "A?", is an attempt at understanding from inside a limited perspective. I don't mean limited in a negative way BTW. Sometimes a limited perspective makes things seem easier to deal with? We share our limited perspectives with each other to do neat things for each other all the time. If you ask "Why A?" You already have an idea about whatever you're looking at/dealing with and you're just seeking to confirm it (certainty) by attributing 2 options (I say 2 options because if you ask "why A?" you also by the same token imply "why not A?") My formal logic is a bit crap but hopefully someone better at it than me can help me explain it better in those terms. If we take our own words (or worse, anyone else's ) about things to be the only truth about anything (and this includes ourselves) then we run into this again and again. Words are supposed to be "about things", but they are themselves "things". So words are about themselves. What this has to do with inner/outer dissolving? I guess the words (and images) are "keys" one uses in dissolving to unlock the blocks? Emotions are actual bodily sensations, not what we say about them. Which is another reason shutting down "mind-chatter" is a good call.

No sex. Not even with themselves?

Um, except I wasn't firing...Does the firing only happen if someone drives by? And I don't seem to take kindly to being told I'm "tough". I'm not "tough" and I wasn't firing. Bleh, forums. Still, very very good post TaoMeow.

I dunno, I quite like slicing soup

"Hey! Are you trying to intentionally offend me? Hehehe." Um, was my dumb question addressed to you Mt MH? (Gotta ask why you drove by and got "offended" "I have pointed out before that I do not have a specific practice. I do whatever I am inspired to do." Even if it's to take offense where non is offered ? True, maybe I am not all that "good" at any of them but what I do satisfies my needs. Is there anything I am missing? I dunno. Maybe not. If you say so. "I answer your question with a question. If a Christian goes to church on Sunday, how much of an individual does that make them?" Hum, does this Christian's Sunday churchgoing include introspective/meditative/contemplative things? If not, I'm not sure I can compare it with what I was referring to. Otherwise, what Cat said
-
I gotta ask. If a person is not practicing some form of meditative/contemplative/introspective something, how much of an individual are they to start with? If they do practice, how much of an individual does that make them? I always have to wonder this about myself. The answers are surprising and not always pleasant. Letting other people tell me how weird I am is a good gauge But doesn't Taoist 5E also attempt to classify people into types based on their elemental composition? Bazi?

"As far as I understand, we are doing vipassana too, not intentionally but as an outcome of the practice." Good call. I've said this before. "What are we sending around the system when we do qi-gong?" Awareness? Intention? And where are we sending it exactly? That kind of thing. I will go check out those links. Thank you!

I am queen of my castle (can't resist an old Seinfelf ref ) Look, my take is that if you're not "getting any" (for want of a better expression) then it's a fine time to embrace "retention". Otherwise IMO you're just frustrating yourself (and possibly your very nice partner). Besides, from what I've "read" - guys can train to "plateau" - so you're still having fun, just a different sort. Heart things seem to work. When guys do this they seem to get very, well, "attractive". Back to balance Edit because I just saw this: "Two, three times a week will ruin your skill completely. Once every two, three months is not a big problem." I should be digging out that Kinsey report about married people If what he reported is/was true then most of the West should be on its way to enlightenment

I used to do a variant of it as a kid (I still have no idea how I figured that one out) and just use heating/sensation in left hand for "no" and right hand for "yes". I think as a kid I was doing it as a "magical" attempt to control certain events that were outwith my control. How I figured out that I could do this or why it seemed like a good idea beats me. So it's neat to see what it's "really" useful for.

"That which deviates from the way shows the way." I don't think I can say anything about this but I know it when it happens

At last! A spiritual excuse for ripping a 6-pack What about women, who don't have "6-packs" only 4? I keep reading all over the place that LDT for women is bad news. I ask "bad news for who?" and haven't gotten a reply yet.

Very nice video Thank you for posting it!
