Stillness Movement Neigong and Michael Lomax's 'Light Warrior's Guide' Book
Birch replied to mjjbecker's topic in General Discussion
Throwing this in http://www.sciencedirect.com/science?_ob=ArticleURL&_udi=B8G4W-4PP8PK9-C&_user=10&_coverDate=12%2F31%2F1995&_rdoc=1&_fmt=high&_orig=search&_sort=d&_docanchor=&view=c&_searchStrId=1416607829&_rerunOrigin=google&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_urlVersion=0&_userid=10&md5=83dfea31d5aab63cabf5a8e3fb5acf46 Thanks for the review. I'm going to check out that book. Still it does seem as if we're re-circling around the issue of "transmission" again. -
"held the human intellect suspect" Because it is highly suspect and subject to all kinds of mis-accuracy (for want of a better word), it can also be too easily informed (some - i.e. me might say "corrupted") There are numerous excellent "scientific" books out there right now on the topic of the failings of intellect. Knowing about them doesn't make them go away either. If you can't/don't want to read those then I highly recommend older writers such as: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straight_and_Crooked_Thinking http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extraordinary_Popular_Delusions_and_the_Madness_of_Crowds Of course, one could suspect that they had been reading some other people... As for intuition, it's better to work with IME once the mind has been somewhat cleaned out because I reckon they both affect each other and one may still intellectually misread a signal from elsewhere. This is why right now I am loathe to separate things into "real" vs "imagined".

Excellent! I always said that a guy would do that if he could juuust get flexible enough
-
"Have you ever gone on a cross country trip doing qigong and hit all the energy vortices? One can get quite a charge by paying attention." Not so far. But I do "feel" places. Could be imagining as usual, but it doesn't matter
-
"Hey Kate, Do horses reincarnate? I know they can have various personality traits to work out. (Btw, I believe they tend to not like snakes)" No idea! i guess it depends how they were broken in to start with. Back to topic. Alright so all this stuff in the desert was maybe referencing whatshisname raising "kundalini" and then somehow transmitting it to the rest of the people so they could make it through the desert ordeal. Man those books sure cause a lot of trouble. No cliff notes??

"led by smart, un-biased, objective, proof-driven people trying to figure out the impersonal Laws of Nature." Let me know if/when you find any of these people
-
Aren't snakes supposed to be THE number one thing people are "naturally" afraid of? In which case it makes total sense to keep "power and wisdom" under the skin of one - means folks will stay away and behave...

It's cute, but the world will still turn regardless. Love, however, may just be the one thing that will keep you and I alive and moving on with that world (whatever it is) we are IMO the only species with the desire to stop the world and say how it is. Bad call IME.

I don't know! it was quite good while it lasted.

friends, I's been slapped up inside da head several times. I suggest it's a wake-up call. I'd rather dance with whatever than be lead through the Gnose (pun intended )

"Since you and I do not have the benefit of being in the same room as a teacher who can generate a chi field" And how do you reckon other people not in the presence of a teacher do it? Because they do it Besides, damn chi-fields are all over the damn place, can't miss 'em. And, as I write, wasn't there a transmission going on this weekend? Maybe I caught it late, but it's there and...yup, still there!

Oh. Ladies and Gentlemen, our sex/life/survival/aggression/love powers are all within and all and any attempts to revive them WILL in the process cause us both fear AND anxiety (more on this some other time). Currently, my small understanding of "practice" is both the realization of our strengths (and weaknesses) and the very fact of dealing with this realisation without scaring our selves too much in the process. Metta to all passing through.

TaoMeow has it down and dandy. I can't recall the specifics but some old thing about "rendering unto old forgotten king dude what is his" is IMO the only way to go. Mostly of course this does not involve actual physical retribution (at worst we will make ponies out of flour and sacrifice them with the BonPo) apart from the fact that actual physical retribution is highly sanctioned. So what's a girl to do???? Telling me this has anything to do with snakes and nothing to do with my own power (valid for everyone IMO) is at best disengenious IMO I have no idea what it could be at its worst.

"In reality the emptiness is always-already inseparable -- it's everywhere" So why go around pretending (oh, I mean "intending") to send it anywhere in one's body or elsewhere? IMO it's a wonder I even have a physical form in the middle of this sea. That's pretty awesome in itself.

"i'm the KING of trial-and-error." And you rule ---Bows somewhat-- to experience rather than -- eum, not that.

"no movement allowed! That was everyday nonstop for 3 months I think." Holy crap???? No sleeping??

Global Shaktipat for Guru Purnima, July 25, Sunday

Excellent! Thanks Susan! I have a big list of people to thank. I think I will be doing that this weekend! Thanks to you and Santi for doing this stuff. -
Meh. How many of our words are good things we say to each other? How many of our words are good things we say to ourselves? Silence is golden because it cuts through the BS. But becoming silent ain't easy, IMO (--sees own rhetoric and laughs and cries a little---)

"Go back to mundane truths and beliefs." - I think you're right!

Who is "she" and what's "the shit"? I will jump into this one and risk getting my hands burnt. Bloody forum people (nothing personal anyone ) so reluctant to put their avs on the line, lest they be "responsible" for someone else's offline actions. How deluded can one get??? At least this is my opinion. I may be deluded but whatever. Lino. Usual caveat. If you are in serious danger, get local (i.e., not online) help. Yes, I am "caveating" to attempt to mitigate any personal responsability. I'm sorry about that but I'm scared because I feel like I know what you're going through. I sometimes feel I'm going through it but I know it's not the same...excuse my rambling. Getting yourself help where you're at may not be the "best" thing long term but that's the point, it doesn't have to be long term and once immediate danger is passed, you will likely thank yourself for being smart enough to ask for help. Lino, how's your critical thinking? Setting aside all notions of "spirtuality" for 5 minutes, where'ya at with down to earth understanding of the process you're going through?
-
"Yes, it's really just the release of inner psychological blockages through the experiential mirror of life." I call this "shit hitting fan". And I suggest it doesn't have to be THAT difficult. The "psychological release" process is by dint of what that is ALSO physical and can result in re traumatizing someone going through it - which IMO is why the classic advice is helpful. I will leave it here as a suggestion: - get breath control, especially belly breathing: this means you can rely on it to relax yourself as you go through the process - let the release happen ("sit with it")- - relax, - cultivate mindful awareness and compassion FOR YOURSELF - don't attach to scenery or trying to figure out what's "real" or "not real" - eat well - drink lots of water - exercise I really think that some of the dissolving techniques are worth looking at as well. It gives you a certain amount of "control" over just how much "stuff" to deal with at any given moment. In other words it gives your Ferrari some brakes

What would you give up to live without oil?

"When it refuses to play the game" - THIS And this means all of the subgames too. But I suspect many would be unwilling to do so. Neat posts. -
My symbol-understanding isn't working well enough today but I do know that sending love to other people without sending it to yourself first could be an issue. Lino, the "spiritual" work is really work - it can often be hard going and I think you're there. It does get better. But spending so much time on it to the exclusion of other things ain't healthy IME. Going to the gym is "spiritual". Ge thee to the gym and treat your body as the temple it is. This will HELP with all of the organ discharge issues and the rest. It's my further current understanding that what kundalini does is offer you a fast track to resolution and it will do that by powering up your existing state in order for you to take action to heal yourself then "learn how to drive" as Susan often puts it. It's not all bliss and hearts and flowers on the path. It is a warrior path and you're very brave to be taking it. You have help here (so many to PM) and a good teacher. However, you might also look at getting in touch with someone locally if things are going very rough. The "biology of kundalini" website is pretty good for diet protocols. As Susan and DK have mentioned, lots of folks in the West are suffering various toxic situations by virtue of their environment (mental, emotional, physical) so it would be worth looking a protocols to deal with all of them. TCM and acupuncture work and are effective when dealing with this stuff. Asanas can be good but I don't know enough about them to understand which would be best for you in your case. As DK says, tell us what you're doing in terms of practice and you will get lots more help.

"I don't understand all these cat people.2 - "I am the cat who walks by himself and all places are alike to me" Was Kipling a Taoist?
