"KAP 15 hours a day" Apologies if I misquoted or out of context. I'd suggest that KAP actually ends up being somewhere around 15 hours a day unless you get into dream yoga stuff. Cause you get a time out when you sleep;-) The idea that the body is the servant of the mind (or the other way around guys;-)) seems to be lodged in (some of) us. For me KAP is a yoga in that it shows off the effects aimed for. With practice, the practice becomes the effects. It's as if we could suggest that after awakening one no longer needs to be aware, nor mindful. One just is those things (or at least tries to be!) So every time you are awake you are just that. Imagine how awful Enlightenment must then be?? Awake ALL the time!? I've been thinking about Full Lotus (if only to pass into this thread;-)) and I think it probably would hurt. Aren't there other, equally effective mudras without them being full body ones? From the limited understanding I have, mudras can be made to create circuits of all kinds with the added acupressure points linking up as well.

I found this interesting. Ideas: - the exercise of will over the MCO - deciding which direction is regular - damage - What does the exercise of will over the MCO entail and what (if any) are its consequences? - What's the difference between front and back channels in men and women or is it just that - front and back? - Damage, caused by MCO or the use of the will, or something else?

Hey Scott! I'm presently playing with the removal of meaning. From everything. Funnily enough, life has this way of touching me even deeper since. I hope you're ok and not going through a trough. Kate

Yup, I'd say both of those are killers. If you take the labels off them (I'm presently doing this as practice) then it can get pretty far out. From what I'm understanding, key is to let it go and it will naturally resolve. Sort of OT but maybe not. Any ideas why phosphenes are currently purple for me? They've also been making incursions into eyes wide open. The other day it was my pinky finger. Just that one and nothing else. I kept looking back at it trying to figure out what lighting in the room was having the effect. Think I ought to stop the letting go of labels thing? I've been taking care to ground when I need to go do something "practical". Yes I am looking for a sort of a confirmation. It's pretty freaky. Edit: pretty freakin boring ;-) http://www.freepatentsonline.com/4044756.html *sigh* I need to stop chasing this stuff;-)

Happy Birthday Santi ;-) Thanks for all your help. I really appreciate it a lot! Kate

Drew. Does wearing black clothing do anything in particular?

If you have a cat (or a dog, or a goldfish) Ask them the same question. I'm serious.

Sooooo? What's your system;-) ? I need to apologize for that. Sorry.

Give examples that relate to her. I find "it's just about observing nature" or "I'm not sure" pretty good enough answers. Saying something vaguely about it has a lot to offer men tends to get the ears pricking up ;-) But I also think that the very best way is just to be it and stop talking about Taoism;-) It just doesn't tend to crop up that way - "Are you a Republican?"

Yes. Cool thread! I would like to thank Santi, Mal, Scott, Todd, Joe, Eric, GIH, Mr Marblehead, Glenn, Anodea, Alan (both of them), my father and many many others.

I'm so glad other people answered before I did. I kept seeing it and wondering. Does Steam believe this is good? If so, then what does he have to say apart from repeating a text? If he doesn't then why didn't he say more about it? If his goal was to provoke, then he perhaps laid it on too thick;-) If his goal was to ? Alright, ya got me The polarity of the situation I get. But the example of using fear to maintain a relationship which in those days (i.e. some distant time in a bizarre universe) by definition was pretty much an economic and social dependency already anyway...I don't "get" so much. I don't know enough about him to begin to imagine "where he was coming from". I suspect that we are somewhat out of time... I think we might look at polarity - in the absence of fear and dependency? OR are these obligatory? OR we could look at the desire of a man to maintain a woman (or it seems he wanted to have a few to choose from) in a state of fear. Why would he want to do that? Do men still want that? I sometimes wonder... Steam?

Oh cool thread! I was just over in Mal`s forum blabbing on about it;-) I'm tending to want to agree with Stigweard because of the way I presently feel as far as a particular person is concerned;-) And, as they say, I'd rather not "blow it" but I'm finding it pretty painful - perhaps not to KG extremes but some days I find myself going "WTF?? I was happy before I met this guy." There's a definite component in there that I don't feel is especially pleasant. Likely why I've been avoiding it all this time;-) A break of 8 years at least (I stopped counting). So my request would be for ways to balance yourself out when in the midst of it. Not how to get into it;-) I've been doing MCO a lot more just because it can get so annoying! I also have a job, a house and a social life and I'd like to keep them in good shape. Thanks!

I would add that they understand how to make whatever approach they're using fit in the context their students are in. It is a huge supermarket out there;-) Which is why I believe places like TTB s that allow people to give feedback on practices are very important Not to forget each person's own responsibility in their choice of practice.

women must learn to redirect their orgams too
Birch replied to smartgirl093's topic in General Discussion
Thanks Drew! You know what? I think I do need to be healed from the things I mentioned (yes pre-heaven and whatever up to the point I go "Ah shit so THAT's what I've been doing all this time;-)") Presently debating (by myself;-)) the merits of slugging through things or being "zapped" by a qi-gong dude. I'm afraid that any zapping would be like that blue light the flies get trapped and zapped in;-) No seriously, my previous ego is pretty much dead but my heart still aches and I've got some real dumb low frequency stuff going on at 3rd C (based on my understanding). It can make for a relatively silly and light-headed 6th (although since KAP, everything has improved x10) -
I like it better when you explain things the way you just did;-)

"Hey I'm male but Kate you must be really lucky! haha. Or at least you know who is really in charge! haha." Except that I don't As for luck - depends on what kind. Seems my pre-heaven is not so good. Until I found this out from a variety of alt practitioners, I was all kinds of stupid (I mean I still am, but I don't much believe it anymore;-)) Who's in charge? -

"...see the true mind and have enough mercy to help." From the above link. Gives a whole new expression to "mercy f*ck"! I felt that the author of the article really seemed anti-men (not "yin" particularly) and seemed to accuse them of all kinds of "dirty" stuff. Surely this is a misunderstanding? -
Who I am is irrelevant because it's always the case. Who i am (lower case) is very relevant IMO because if you miss out on defining the answer to the latter, you (lower case) may miss out on many things that may make a positive difference. If you discover your I and then act as an i in negative terms I'd be pretty surprised. "Positive" and "negative" are ?

Hey Santi, Interesting camera angle;-) It's great that you're sharing online. Also nice was no talking to justify whatever was going on. It looked like you were running a secret smile here and there. The strangest thought popped into my head while watching at the end "There are my boys!" - reference to you and Glenn;-) Although I wouldn't have Susan hear of it because I find her pretty scary for some reason. Sorry Susan if you are reading! Not your fault! ;-)

Thanks! I will take some time to go into the links you provided. This one, however, seemed really pertinent to the thread about text message programming. "Dutch researcher Martijn Veltkamp has demonstrated that you can motivate people with subliminal messaging: quickly flashing words onto a screen without their noticing. This is only successful, however, if the subliminal message matches a biological need and if the behaviour is associated with a positive effect."

It's cool. I've also read stuff about text NOT necessarily being the best material for direct bypassing to subconscious (which is still a topic I need A LOT of time to explore). Any ideas of what the theory (way of seeing) is based on when using such a program? So far, also success in using techniques that bring awareness of the issues themselves (if they are subconscious, sometimes not really;-)) into focus THEN those can be "worked on" with a number of approaches (discarded/rearranged/reinforced/reframed/pure energy) I would suggest;-) that affirmation stuff works on at least 2 levels: - brings "you" into cognitive dissonance - brings "your" beliefs to light (they may or may not be considered limiting, depending on your context and goal) for "working on" (look above.)

See, now I'm not sure if you meant this as revenge on yourself by yourself or if it's a gift.

How do Taoists cultivate equanimity?
Birch replied to innerspace_cadet's topic in General Discussion
I'm considering the following: - whatever you think, Tao is at work anyway So you can't really DO much about it. Whether you do or do not. It happens. So might as well become: - aware of it I was about to add "enjoy it" but am not quite there yet. -
Vaj -dude! If what you're saying is the case (and I don't doubt it) then the whole "you" thing may need some equilibrium. You love her, no? So why not give her love and attention? Gah. It must be a man-thing. All Buddhists aside. Vaj. You'd be better off a Taoist for that part. Buddhist for other bits. Be nice.

"Only he is really mean, and i mean MEAN I have never known someone to be so mean and so serious about stupid things" Nope, all that is is that you mutually piss each other off (not my business to know exactly why and you ought to know this dear) We're all pretty mean when we think that what others consider what we think is serious to be stupid. Why does it matter?
