I disagree that your Mouseist faith (if indeed it is a true faith) ought to have anything to do with reality, although I agree it might be a metaphor for your experience of said. No need to push the cheese plate!
-
That's hardly an argument.
-
Prove it! I disagree that mice is all there is!
-
Are you saying it's mice all the way down?
-
Well you perhaps have a point when it comes to the distinct desserts but I'm not in favour of using that to argue for the mouse generality.
-
Your argument can't sustain! There were never any mice. It was a misreading by people with their own agenda! Pies! ALL PIES!

Xtiantimenesstide Inyourfaceness - Joyful Argumentimeness

Groupthinkness error! I deny the mouse accusations and I find it unfair that I am being targetted at Xtiannesstimetide! I disagree but do quite like tinsel.
-
Ad hominem strawman roundhouse! Keyboard bias!
-
NOOO, I did say mice to begin with but it was a mistake and you knew it was (see I just edited it to say what I originally meant)
-
How DARE you! You can't argue what there's no point in arguing about if it's the case but probably is if it isn't. I like mince pies at Xtiantidenesstime but I feel a bit strange eating them any other timeness. Edit: mince not mice.

The perfect Xtianmastidetimeness music. But I disagree with the video.

I'm maintaining an air of superior austerities for Xtiantimenesstide and I disagree that mashed potato isn't tasty. Really it is if you add lots of butter and cream and black pepper.
-
Your appeals to authorities are useless, I disagree that sprouts are good for anyone because I don't like them that much - although I agree that oven-baking (question of semantics, I prefer to say 'roasting') them and then tossing them in garlic and olive oil is quite alright at Xtiannesstimetide.
-
Brandy and toffee in sauce don't go together but I agree it would be nice if they did.
-
Ah, so you agree the rules should be broken? I think that you might be agreeing with me. I am, but I still think your argument of three dissenting arguments is invalid because one, you initially agreed with the rules, two you even upheld them by your action of breaking them and three, it's Xtiantidetime.
-
i disagree they were singing about you, although often I have thought they were singing about me so perhaps you're right!
-
No I'm not. I started a thread for it - youre WRONG http://thetaobums.com/topic/25714-xtiantidetime-inyourfacetime/
-
Shall I make an Xtianmastidetime inyourfacetime thread for the arguing? Of course I don't expect anyone to agree.
-
Xtiannesstidetime inyourfacetime
-
I'd agree if it weren't Xtiannesstide but otherwise yes, that would be nice:-)
-
You're right! The world is unjustly and rightly against you but I disagree that you are fooled by my agreement. Takes a lot more at Xtianmastideness. You're just saying so to avoid the Xtianness tradition of being in people's faces.
-
I think you have a point. Very well made and entirely acceptable, with which I might often agree but not at this Xtiantidemastime.
-
Because of the possibilities for fun and merriment. It is almost Xtianmas after all. Edit: And arguing. Wouldn't be Xtianmas without some arguing. Preferably about things you haven't wished to argue about or taken the time to argue very much about before because you didn't have the opportunity to really be in anyone's face for an entire day (or more, some people like to spend more time in each other's faces at Xitianmastime).

enough with emptiness and dreams. we need new models.

Like I said, I wasn't really going anywhere but Stosh said this thing I found interesting: 'The scientific 'community' only accepts conclusions if others can also replicate results -such as , you look out your window and see my car. which means it is really only a process of figuring out that which is objectively true ( it doesnt matter who it is replicating the experiment) Your experiences are personal and subjective' So if I get this right. My experiences are personal and subjective AND if they line up with other people's personal and subjective experiences then the only way we can say they are also 'objectively' true to X degree of certainty IF a set of rules created by a person (who one assumes experienced whatever it was personally and subjectively) for experiencing the experience have been followed? I'm wondering too if the rules here are pre-empting the empirical approach we'd like to say we're talking about when doing science? So anyway, what I'm thinking at this point, following what I understand from what Stosh is saying is that the idea of subjective vs objective as a dichotomy really isn't a dichotomy in the true sense (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dichotomy I went to look it up just in case). And to add, yin/yang theory is also (as far as I understand) not a theory of dichotomy as each has some of the other in it.
