I hasz a question! What would you do if you had it and what would you do if you did not? Personally, I don't reckon it's an absolute. I have no real idea what "free" is. Certainly I have a will but it is usually either for or against something or other. If it were free, for or against wouldn't be an issue. So i suspect free will is exercised under circumstances that don't call attention to themselves. Of course, it could all just be a silly semantic put on, like "elephant ice-cream". Obviously absurd, right?

Dude, that's like, totally telepathic!

It's a barely formed idea dwai;-) The 3 "things" are forms of the same (despite having perceptibly different qualities) They do flow into each other but the perceptual point at which that happens is the crux of the issue of "transformation" and "causality".. The points (or I suppose you could call them "gates") at which the exchanges happen are...well that's about as far as I've got with the putting words on the idea thing:-) If language wasn't an issue I could sort of wordlessly tell you what I mean. Like that time I tried to explain what it felt like to be the s-shaped line in the tai-chi. Not sure i was very clear that time either:-)

That's a nice illustration Scott:-) Reminded me about the nature of Shen,qi,jing. I also pondered the 'entry points' of each for a while recently. Because while they're undisputedly linked (or flow into each other if you will), the points at which they do that are sort of tricky to figure. Sorry if I'm not making sense. Sometimes I get a hold of a concept and for a while it doesn't have any words on it. I can feel it, but can't explain. Ah well

An actual living person? No idea. A historical figure in some respect brought to life and maintained (although he keeps getting killed periodicallly...no South Park reference intended)? Absolutely. In weirder terms, how does anyone 'prove' their 'real' existence?

Would you like most women to cover up their beauty?
Birch replied to Everything's topic in The Rabbit Hole
I tend to equate freedom with a lack of punitive consequences. Include 'socially punitive'. Seems to me the "socially punitive" is on the up and up when it comes to women. -
Reminded me of the Taoist rulers of periods and ages in Flying Star Feng Shui.

Yeah, I'd say that the kundalini stuff probably has a higher amount of detoxing (cough cough) to it than some other forms. I liked the idea of changing up forms to get at things differently. I've noticed that life (well, not a sweeping generalization) also carries repetitive forms. Feeling crappy there or anxious there too could be just 'against form'. -----vaguely speculative opinion alert---

I'd read it but I wouldn't get it.

I don't understand physics.

Nice link. Not necessary the Om Shantis.

Thanks Mr MH. I kind of got all nostalgic/heartfelt following your post but I reckon there's always going to be a tendency (and people who will incarnate that more than others) towards wishing for truth and reality just as much as wishing for lies and illusion. I don't think truth initially makes anyone happy. But over time, I reckon it's the only thing that will help.

Earn $10,000 a month by using your Intuition

IMO you don't have to be psychic. Just able to consider things from a perspective that is outside the one that isn't working. Generally outside the field one is considering. -
I thought I was new and adventurous. Apparently not. Boom boom. Can I suggest something VMarco? That you distill the best of your ideas into some kind of tract/manifesto and link to it? Occasionally quote from yourself to illustrate postings. The kind of antagonism you seem to be raising isn't the kind that seems to get folks riled enough to, well, not sure exactly. Stuff that was much more riling has been and (for now) gone on TTB's. Hey, have you met the mojo doctor?

"The thing is, the "idea" or intention can make energy move and make things change physical form." That's not a "force"? I don't understand (yet). Thanks for the Bucky link. Other thing I don't get is why is the Sophia myth getting played out right now? Did scientists just like the story? What if it were a metaphor that is being misused to benefit some and not others (although how any of it could benefit anyone by changing from life into inorganic non-life (but not "dead") is beyond little me.

It's all there. The deceptions and lies as well as the people making efforts not to be part of that. Seeing ONLY deception and lies is IMO a mistake. As is seeing ONLY the "positive". While I'm not generally a fan of the "positive thinking" movement when it serves to deceive in it's turn. I am in favour of putting my attention on both the positive and the negative (although sometimes I have to force myself as the deceptions are so compelling, so fascinating to try to understand.) ---- i want reality and the truth more, opinion alert----

Boom boom;-) "mass-causing" "gravity"? or "mass, causing gravity"? And why bother with a distinction between energy and matter? I thought that one had been done by Einstein? I'm probably getting this very wrong again...

Very helpful SB! Thanks! ----presently somewhere in or around very messy but still meditating, realising how awful I am and how much I suck but not like 'seriously' suck, so according to someone else (Dan) well, there's a thing.... Opinion alert---

On the Dark Matter idea. Why call it "matter" if you actually don't know what it is?
-
That would make consciouness a separate force - if it effects things. I'm tempted to say that it's not, just takes appearance of.

Interesting repartition of influences.

Good advice Cat. Hagar, I got through the worst of it with help from an acupuncturist. But also had to change things in my life. Not finished. Work in progress. Cat, I like the idea of hopononono (or whatever) but personally disagree that you can use it in the absence of the other parties included in the 'narrative' . Also, heart centre meditations I found "cooling" for want of a better term. Also emptiness meditation. Also not paying attention to the visuals and other 'stuff'.

Thank you for the explanation Mr VMarco Findley, I read it but I'm really not familiar enough with all the terms or concepts to make a constructive comment. Sorry!

If you're spirituality is not rational, how do you keep from getting scammed?
Birch replied to findley's topic in Daoist Discussion
I made mistakes and learned from them (a bit). Still, the main person I've had to watch out for (and end up trusting) is? You got it :-) Here, have this free lunch... -
Yes, two different things one should not mistake for the other. I wonder what happened to Mozza. I found a forum sort of dedicated to Mozza-like values yesterday. It was pretty weird. Lots of sensitive people talking about introversion. Very 'yin' kind of vibe.
