We could argue about that Scott, but I don't feel like invoking the "bad boy" defense committee. -

That's interesting. Would have been nicer if you had mentioned which meaning you were using :-) http://www.thefreedictionary.com/harlot Not very nice either... -

It's not that hilarious Drew. Seriously, some people think (still?) like this? Not that I agree with the showy naked tantric mongoose stuff, but if the women want to do it (as in "consent") I see no issue. Ms TED is on her promo tour. She runs a business with this stuff. But from there to "let's change the world" yeah, forgive my reluctance. "Harlot" pfff. Edit to add:http://www.trimondi.de/SDLE/Part-1-09.htm per thoughts on monotheism -
From what I've read TCM also differs from "traditional" Chinese medecine. It's like I was surprised to read that asprin comes from a plant (originally). I reckon it was a smiling plant - not sure why, but there you go:-)

Well I liked them. I was going to say I've been trying to stop telling people who I am and hope to rely more or what I do, but I think I just comitted an oxymoron.

I would, but I suspect a) not a good idea to share may be interpreted as a reflection on me (hum) c) could require back-rationalisation to explain. So I'll leave it as the fact of "creepy sensation" -

As in "the dude gives me the creeps", as in "unpleasant crawling sensation" Compare this with uncreepy folks such as Hundun and Santi. They still have juice but they have respect. I could speculate on whether I'm seeing a hypnotized woman on that stage in the TED video or not. Sure, the guy can probably do it, but did I ask him to do it? Nope -
Nicely said! I dunno what the purpose of MCO is but I think it's about connecting all of the "main" brains with awareness, so you end up with a loop you can then use as a receiver for the rest of the practices. Also return the jing-qi-shen cycle to shen-qi-jing (which is kind of the same as the first idea) But that's just my random ideas:-)

Yep, that's what I meant!

"There's crap both ways" THIS! Aside from diverging culturally meaningful attributes to colour (or many other things:-)) I think this thread also illustrates (potentially) one's own being "cut off from one's own meaning". Being able see my own aura would help me immensely IMO. Excellent story TaoMeow!

You could run those same as orbits, but it looks like one of those head techniques folks are always saying to lay off of until you can sink chi, ground yourself, (and speaking for self) rationalize a bit what you're doing. Which I'm pretty sure you can ---opinion alert---

Qi Gong, lots of people are using it to deceive

I'll suggest why people would like "scientific proof". It's a special kind of high permission to accept things "to be the case". The reason people want scientific proof of cancer healing is because they are currently being fed just the opposite, everywhere one looks. So if something works, it has to be seen as working by the same authority as provided the cancer proof in the first place. I'm not sure that scientists would all be very comfortable with this result. That their work and research is leading to fear and illness and not solutions. --- opinion alert--- -

Yeah, I read his blog. Feeling stands :-) Like Ken Wilber - very very very smart, and a huge creep. And don't get me started on the Pope. -
I don't (yet) Good point JB

Hi folks, This is a bit weird/embarrassing (another one of those 'am I normal? questions But hey, I already identify as a bit of a weirdo thanks to meditation so here goes) Seeing through closed eyelids in a dark room. I checked several times to make sure my eyes were shut (they were). I waved my hand about in front of me (I could see them much fainter than when my eyes were open). Opened and shut my eyes a few times to "make sure" - although of what exactly, not sure. So, aside from this being a highly subjective experience A) What ?.. Counterindications (aside from telling people)? Thoughts on the matter? I mean it's not like I don't already have this whole "thing" about local and non-local consciousness. It's still bugging me. Is it bugging me enough that I invented the experience to settle matters or is it "real" in the sense of, well, real? Something else?

Yeah, I found the tantric mongoose guy creepy. But I also agree that the bushmen are working with full on kundalini. Bradford Keeney is another guy out there working with bushmen. Read TaoMeow's post on Jing. It's not "limited" to physiological "stuff". On a personal note, I'd also be wary of people transmitting who haven't done much necessary work. The reverse would also be true, if you don't transmute, don't transmit (----public service annoncement---) -
Ok. I don't think I've "got it". If it weren't for Mr FL and all the cool stuff he says FL could do then I wouldn't bother. Do I need to bother about it? This thread would suggest not.

Thanks folks! It's not the first time it's happened, but the first I've been willing to not write it off and also to discuss it. I felt briefly like freaking out about it yesterday (because of the implications, mainly) and then I though, oh wtf. Doesn't matter. It's the kind of stuff we discuss on here all the time, nothing special (although I was also delighted, can't hide that). As for the interpretations, well it's good to know they are there but also good (I think) not to read too much into them. I suppose people could get tempted to start doing stuff with this kind of thing? Or believe they are... I saw a movie about that. And then I was thinking some more and I was wondering why the injunctions such as those aluded to by Starhawk above?
-
Nope. It's really pretty much the same as ordinary seeing with eyes open, except a bit fainter. The colours (if any) are those back of the eyelids things. I don't get much of that (so far) You want the list of "stuff"? I reckon a lot of it is natural physiological stuff, maybe even this "latest" thing is too. Which would put the whole "oh wow mystical" thing to bed for me. That would just be the way things are, nothing more or less. @Gerard. Thanks. Although "Dark Night', nope, not interested in another one of those.

I thought the full lotus was a result of clearing and opening of channels. If so, then it seems to me to be premature or maybe counterproductive to force a full lotus posture prior to significant opening. Are we looking at one of those retro-engineered things? Nothing wrong with it, but reverse induction...
-
Yeah, i think it's unlikely that I'd want to go wandering about
-
Yeah, I think I forget what rubbish I cleared out and what's still left. Quite some I figure.

The epidemic of obese six month olds: fructose is a poison, 1 in 3 U.S. obese
Birch replied to voidisyinyang's topic in General Discussion
I'm quite stupid too. But I reckon this agenda to depopulate is worth looking at. I've seen infanticide as one way, family size policies another, minority and majority cultures deported, frontier-lines drawn to inflame racial and cultural boundaries (population gunpowder packing), economics, education, eugenics, physical, mental and "spiritual" "castration" of both sexes... I'm not quite sure what (if anything) to do about it. Avoid getting killed in my lifetime (if there is such a thing) be one. I'm in charge of my life to the extent that many other conditions allow it. But what happens if I find out (and can state facts) about what is being done to further depopulation? Of course ridicule would follow.
