No, not volume. You're copping out. It's your behavior, in which the frequency, manner and content of your posts can only be characterized as xeno has: boorish. I'm serious, it's not just the volume. But why post in such volume anyway? It's overbearing, Vaj, and in general you come across that way too. Including invading unrelated topics with Buddhism, which you acknowledged only once and said you wouldn't do anymore, so you do have some awareness of what you are doing. Seriously, I looked at my stuff and called a truce and laid off of you, can you examine your own behavior objectively to see if you behave "boorishly" here? I can think of at least ten members who you have fought with whom I have not seen fight with anyone else. In fact, whenever we have these multi-page splayed rows, you're always the central character. I don't know why you have to defend yourself so over-vigorously always and everywhere. The inability to let something, anything pass by speaks much more to character than some weak slight. I repeat: More is less and less is more.
-
OK, but why are you always at the center each time? I think it is the content, tone and style of how you debate, as well as the multitudinous posting flurries that get you into trouble.

Sux.

Look at the patterns, Vaj. You have been at the center of these things in many threads dating back to when you first arrived. The only constant in these back and forths is yourself. I have laid off of you, but there is a constant stream of lots of different people who are "mean" to you. Could it be something in the way you conduct yourself here that puts you in the center of this over and over again? (I ask this with compassion).
-
Dude, you bring this stuff down on your head over and over again. Can't you see your pattern? Songs sez: More is less and less is more.

Songs sez: We should get rid of the reputation system.

Jeez, relax...who cares? Besides, you don't know that. Equanimity my good man, equanimity...take some deep breaths and let all that spiritual work you've realized propel you through.
-
Vajra, if you had any spiritual maturity, you would let the insults go by. I'm just sitting back and watching how you draw all this on to yourself. I think you really like these forum spats you get yourself in!
-
What the hell, Vajra, I thought you said you weren't going to do this kind of thing anymore?!?

I like Wenger's work. I followed it some years ago and derived some benefit. I actually did the practice one summer of extended breath holding when I was housesitting where a pool was about 7 years ago. I can't remember the parameters, it was something like 100 minutes (?) swimming underwater holding the breath with some other specifics. Actually did it exactly as instructed, but never noticed any appreciable brainpower benefits.

If you can find a really good therapist, it would probably help you get a lot clearer on your life.

Kris and Mike1234, that is exactly the kind of posts I was looking for. Modeling a genius does seem incredibly powerful. Could one not model a spiritual genius such as Buddha or Shankhara or Jesus or Trungpa or Norbu or any enlightened being or teacher? Couldn't modeling actually catapult one far beyond with perhaps an actual metaphysical transfer on energy that is not easily possible otherwise, especially if they are not alive? Is modeling necessarily limited to just the outer aspects of the being, or rather can it capture a transference of essence? Without actual experience myself, I like to think that much more is possible than the simple modeling of mere outward characteristics, but I may be wrong. I bet it would depend on the consciousness and limitations (or lack thereof) of the one who is modeling?

I wasn't referreing to you, ninpo! It was a general call to expertise and experience.

Yes, Heads or Tails, then.

Ahhhh. "Source" vs. "beginningless flow of interdependence" Can argue for both, no absolute proof of either. Taoism or Buddhism. Heads or Tails?

Jesus, quarter Chinese and descendent of Mozi?
TheSongsofDistantEarth replied to Edward M's topic in General Discussion
Considering that there is almost zero evidence that a historical Jesus ever existed, I doubt that the Chinese theory has any merit.
