Anyone experienced healing miracles?
TheSongsofDistantEarth replied to z00se's topic in General Discussion
You need to define "miracle". Like Lazarus, or like a cancer remission, or like canker sores disappearing after drinking green tea? What's a "stomach ulsa"? -
My experience with Chunyi Lin

Why only just 49 days in full lotus? What's the matter with him? -
What words have I put in thy mouth, Joe Blast? ? Is there not some glee in the thread title you started, "ding dong the stick is dead" and then the cheesy hockey stick video further up this page (I quote: "hahaha...")?? Or am I misreading your intention here, Joe? Can I not respond to what you put out here? Maybe you should be more clear in your posting? What then was your intent with this thread...was it 'delight' then, that the environmentalists were "proved" wrong by your citations? Help me out here, Joey...you're melting...

You guys are right, it is a good idea to use the forum as a bulletin board. Now I'm going to go and retain some semen.

Is your name actually an alliteration of 'cycle pump"?? :rolleyes:Is that a 'bicycle pump' or a 'tantric pump'?
-
eeeah shaddup, pero. It's a forum not a bulletin board. Send a PM or post a topic of general interest, I say.

Very cool Mr Cow. Thanks for posting it. I knew we was buddies for a reason. Your Pal, Mr Songs

GLOBAL SHAKTIPAT EMPOWERMENT & HEALING
TheSongsofDistantEarth replied to Vajrasattva's topic in General Discussion
Santiago, what is this supposed to do, besides the 'feel good factor'? Thanks, EarthSongs -
JoeBlast, I'm glad you're so gleeful. I hope you're right. You sure haven't come close to explaining in simple terms how a closed system (the Earth) with an population thats exponentially increasing and using vast resources, is not suffering from fouling itself in its own waste. Explain to me again how it works, in simple terms, that there is no penalty for the Earth being crowded and used up? Use cartoons, diagrams, puppets, teabags, blow-up dolls or whatever else you have lying around your computer, please, to ease my mind...I'm beginning to think you're just an idealogue...say it ain't so, Joe!

John Zen, If you want to open a thread, put some information in the line and byline as to what it's about, otherwise you make everyone click on the thing to see what it's about. I suggest opening up a general topic. We should be able to tell from your title (not just Question for Durkhrod) what the discussion is, so we don't all waste our time to see what the topic is... sorry to be pissy, but why don't you just PM him if you have a question for him?

You won't feel it the rest of your life, I'm afraid. I've done a lot of psychedelics back in the day. I had similar experiences, they are actually state dependent, and I would wager the more you do them, the more attached to them you will become, and you will chase an evaporating phenomenon that turns to evanescent mist in your hands. Actually, I didn't even read your entire first post, I've seen/heard this 'amazing fantastic' drug powers story many times before, it's sort of "blah, blah, blah"... you know. Frequent drug use will lead you to damage your energy field, ask any energy healer*. They also damage your brain, recent PET scans of the brain show what drug use does (see the books of Daniel Amen, M.D.). Better to meditate, do qi gong and leave the drugs alone...or not. It's your adventure, just know the cost you'll pay for the journey. *(If you get really confused and desperate, you can go on youtube and watch the anti-drug videos of taobummer darin hamel, although they might actually drive you to use drugs).

OFFICIAL GOVERMENT MINDCONTROL EXPERIEMENTS AND DEVICES!
TheSongsofDistantEarth replied to enouch's topic in General Discussion
What is this "harmless, cheap device", witch? Hey, I think the videos are interesting and have some degree of truth. They do play up the fears of people in a a way that seems to detract from the truth, however. I did find the video on the former AT&T employee blowing the whistle on the "goverment" pretty interesting. Hey, it must be my mild perfectionism that bugs me with the misspellings in the titles of the threads...like that one thread about ladies "orgams" drives me nertz every time I see it. What makes you think I don't like you, eunuch? I like everybody, even Yay Hoo's who was dropped on their head by their pappy as a chillun' out behind the wood shed... -
OFFICIAL GOVERMENT MINDCONTROL EXPERIEMENTS AND DEVICES!
TheSongsofDistantEarth replied to enouch's topic in General Discussion
enouch, why don't you go back and edit your thread title to correct the mistakes? They make you look like a Yay-Hoo, which you may of course be, but you probably don't want to advertise it so broadly. -

Mind control is two words and you misspelled 'experiments' in the thread title. Just letting you know so you don't look dumb. -
James Kunstler makes the case for a return to traditional Taoist communities
TheSongsofDistantEarth replied to Encephalon's topic in General Discussion
It's hard to imagine what we will face if society shuts down. Everything is soo interdependent now, that long term survival amid total chaos will not be possible for most. Unless one is already living in a completely self-sufficient, isolated situation or community, the cluster-fuck will get most of us. Those who prepare may just last a little longer. So go ahead and prepare, but realize that it may be futile. I will. But I'm also going to get a nice little supply of China White. I've never tried heroin, but the end of civilization might be the time for my first (and last) Big Happy Trip... -
James Kunstler makes the case for a return to traditional Taoist communities
TheSongsofDistantEarth replied to Encephalon's topic in General Discussion
Taoists may be among the people from the middle class who are somewhat prepared for the changes ahead, but actually the homeless and street people will do the best in the long run: they've already accustomed themselves to survival and wrestling a life out of nothing. They are the true and ready survivalists, many of us Taoists here with our computers are not too far removed from the comforts and necessities of life, and will have a hard a time as most people, I would think. Perhaps there are some who are already living with spareness and self-reliance, but I suspect there are few who are not spoiled by modern life. Many of the members here aspire to "radical independence", but are softies when it comes down to it. You're right that consumerism will have to go. But Americans will not make changes until they are forced to. For example, they will not buy fuel efficient cars until gas is punishingly expensive. As for Krugman, you're shooting from the hip again, Blasto. He's not advocating a return to consumerism as a way out. He is simply talking economics, and he has a lot of agreement from many real economists. Stimulus money is necessary to create jobs. For example, a massive project to rebuild our country's crumbling infrastructure is something he has advocated. Sure we spend money and get further into debt, but we have no choice. If our highways, roads, waterworks, public transportation, electrical grid continue to fall apart, we're fucked anyway. The small stimulus that was passed was not enough, unemployment will remain very high for a years to come. And that's barring any unforeseen economic events, like China calling in our debts. If we had not passed a stimulus bill, we'd be in a true depression, not just this sick sludgy recession. The big problem that will probably be the real "2012" end of civilization is the house of cards that our and other countries financial systems have become. Forget about a "magnetic pole shift" lol. Shadiness and greed through and through has created complex financial instruments that will crash the world economic system. Look at the shudders happening today as Dubai has announced it is having trouble paying its debts. -
Very nice. Thanks Sheng Zen.

Jeez, sherab...did you even watch it?
-
It's very interesting, I watched part 6 and will watch the whole thing. It's not dreadful or stupid. I applaud your explorations, especially since you're 17. Impressive. Keep following your own light, don't be influenced by naysayers. Blasto's out of line, he didn't even watch it and he's offering his silly "criticism". If someone wants to comment, watch it and make an intelligent criticism.

My New Book: Scribbled Voices by Leon Basin
TheSongsofDistantEarth replied to DalTheJigsaw123's topic in The Rabbit Hole
Leon, it's nice. You need a lot more practice before you could make money from writing. You are very sincere. Try the writing exercise I described to you in another thread you started. Best of luck.
