The Chicken or the Egg?

My experience: I attended a Matrix Energetics workshop in LA last year. I was very eager to learn it based on the book, which I thought was interesting and compelling. I came away disappointed. Seems like the main phenomenon was his ability to have people swoon and fall back, like in a revival-type healing. He "treated" various people in the course, I sought them out later, no one was cured healed or much improved in any way when I talked to them. Bartlett himself was limping during the course, complaining of a flare-up of a recurrent knee problem. My impression of his manner and presentation was that he was kind of crazy. Over the top, ungrounded, on the manic side. Weird look in his eyes. I asked him a couple of questions one on one during the workshop, did not have a good feeling about him. That was my impression. I have not pursued any further study of Matrix Energetics.

This popular urban legend persists, even referred to from time to time by members of this forum. The original study that was done apparently shows there is no basis for it to suggest 'morphogenic fields', or anything else, really. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/100th_Monkey Oh, and while we're at it, the Eskimos do not have fifty or one hundred words for snow. If I hear one more hack lecturer say that, I'm going to stand up, drop trou and scream. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eskimo_words_for_snow Let's keep up the intellectual rigor like the toasts er, taosts we be!

I dunno. i don't like her, but having outright political discourse like this on this forum doesn't feel right to me. The overall topics/threads lately have been all over the place and this forum seems to have lost a lot of it's merit. Approaching 50,000 members, no surprise that the level of discussion has gone downward. -
that is fine should you choose to do that Mr. Olivaresmila, but we will find you among the anonomae in the forum. we know who you are, and have a qi tracer already placed. as they say, you can run, but you cannot hide. 10,850

I have very rarely caught the scent of a woman in public, in some phase of estrus. I get an overpowering feeling of connection, not just sexual excitement, but that is really there too. I once 'fell in love' with an Air India flight attendant on a flight, that smell was there every time she passed. I was running fantasies in my head all the way to Mumbai. It is sooo powerful. I have never detected on a woman I was I was in relationship with. Could it be a hygeine thing? Also, it seems its always on a woman well into her 30's and somewhat above, never on a younger woman. It seems different to me that what I have assumed 'pheromones' are, but maybe not. The scent seems to be the same whenever I have 'caught' it, not individualized, and the surprising thing to me is that I don't smell it more often... maybe once a year. Why is it so strong sometimes? It makes me feel a very strong love/attraction to whoever it is attached to, be she plain or pretty, I would willingly sneak off to the nearest closet with her. Yeah, and we think we have 'free will'... ha! 10,850

I have tried cordyceps in many different forms, including straight from the catapillar's back, and numerous reputable encapsulated products, but have never noted any benefit in endurance, strength, energy, stress, mental clarity, mood,etc... am I just a non-responder to this, or is it over-hyped? Any one with any first-hand reports on beneficial effects?
