Its not too hard. Im used to people re-iterating! haha. It helps it stick. My passion/ attention flits around from one thing to another, eventually coming back to the thing I put on hold. If I let it flow, I learn a whole lot more. So when I flow back to the Shurangama, I will read more! heh. Dunno much about demonic states. Sounds kewl, though. I just got into a deep meditative state where there was no awareness of my body or the external and my awareness was "diving" into some light that was not light and I felt intense fear. A strong thought came up that said- I am going to die if I go there. I then jerked back and I became aware of my body and the external slowly. Twas neat. Yep, if I had enough coherence/ focus/ samhadi power I would have been able to go on. Or If I could just let go of my need to exist. thats a tough one....hmm... Maybe letting go is a good path for some. I like it. For now, atleast I need to work on it! Thanks for your help/ sharing/ insight, MalikShreds! Always enjoyable to hear from you! Peace

Letting go is my big deal now. Learning how. How holding on feels...I am starting to feel how it feels to hold onto Qi "things". Its quite interesting. Lawd, letting go and then when you reach a point where the ego fills you with fear of death...You have to let go. Thats really hard, I have heard. Experienced something tiny, like that once. I could not let go. "I" got thrown back out of wherever I was real fast. hehe. Too soon, It seems. I have not been reading the Shurangama Sutra, lately. Will get back to it soon! I will check out that section once I am there. Thanks, MalikShreds! Peace

How do you know your way is the right one?
Uroboros replied to Flolfolil's topic in General Discussion
I dunno. I have a good idea that what I do (which is not one system) is right for me since I can experience the benefits. Is it right for everyone else? Hell naw! That would go against Yin/Yang theory, I would say. Some are better for some then others. When I see people who are practicing spiritual/ self cultivation methods get involved in arguments, "ego" stuff, you could say...When they act from their pain..It does make me wonder what they are doing. What is the point in trying to make others like you? Why do you feel the need to make them wrong and you right? It usually seems to stem from pain. Insecurities. Emotions not yet worked thru/ let go of. I still feel the urges and occasionally do it, when im less aware of my self. hahaha. Sometimes, even when I am aware!!! Much work to do on my self. Yep. Peace! -

Truth. You can like what you like. and like it how you like it. That is A okay. Doctor Who is a great show, though....So funny. With a good amount of good story writing. Great actors...Yep. I do think that this- wibbly wobbly timey wimey... stuff.- pretty much sums up all of existence. hahaha. Peace -
I have felt that, too. You can just feel it. People respond to it, as well. Sometimes I watch people drive fast and take risks I consider stupid. Over and over again. Its like they are all filled with a specific need for speed. haha. I wonder...if its a similar thing to how a bunch of people will go to a store at the same time. Especially when its on a day thats not normal. Like a wednesday night. And the place is PACKED! at 10 pm. Every so often, that happens and its so strange....its like they all heard a silent call and came to shop. OH, new marketing technique! Sonic marketing! Spooky. I just watched Magnolia, after hearing it referenced here and it was a good movie. Loved the opening sequence. hehe. Peace

You make good points. Your points still miss my main point. You say it is based on observation. All things are. How does one observe? Thru perception. What is perception? A very limited experience of what is really there. It is also filtered thru beliefs and attention. So, it actually does have allot to do with perception. Everything does. Since everything is experienced thru perception. There is no separation. If you can separate it, please do tell me. That would be fascinating! Yet again, you misinterpret what I am saying. I have not said, the earth is absolutely flat. What i have said is, I wonder if it is flat....how would that work? what would that mean? what if everything I know/ was told is wrong? BIG difference. Schooling has little to do with intelligence. Actually, I have found, people who are un-schooled, are more able to become educated and think intelligently. Intelligent, rational thinking is something children do all the time. Of course, the does depend on how the child was raised, what they eat, etc. Yet, many are capable of it. The thing you seem to be missing is that what science says it knows, it does not really know. Its just the best working guess, at the moment. That will change. Will the guess about the earths shape change? Maybe, maybe not. That is unimportant for this thought journey. People can choose what to believe and what not to believe. if a person wants to believe the earth is flat, that is their choice. If they want to believe the earth is round, that is their choice. Respecting choice is important, I feel. Instead of pushing my view onto them, I allow them to choose for their own self. Now, have I taken a science course officially? No. Have I been to college? No. Am I home schooled? No. Does that mean I cannot think in a fluid, intelligent, logical manner? No, it does not. If anything, my mind is more fluid and open because i have not trained it to fit inside any box. You still have not even spoken to the point I keep making over and over again (perception/ point of this exercise) and instead choose to try and make me understand your point of view. I do understand it. I am pretty sure I did not say otherwise. You are refusing to see any other point of view and are just attacking without making any real attempt at communication. So, I am done replying to this type of post. If you would like to join me in pondering the wonderful possibilities in the universe, I would enjoy it. tis always fun to have someone knowledge in areas I am not so precise in, to give a new perspective. Otherwise, I am choosing to ignore the pointless bantering/ arguing/ cock measuring. I hope you have a great day! Peace

Off topic derail, MPGs tips of saving money; now Prosperity and how to make money
Uroboros replied to skydog's topic in The Rabbit Hole
Wonderful point! Tis true, most paradigms are geared toward an objective experience within our subjective one. Trying to take a subjective, internal experience and find reasons that its not internal. That, if other people "see" it, it must be true. As you say, SilentThunder, Cash is the idea of value manifested as an object. In form. A common problem is focusing so much on the money, we lose sight of the things we want it for. There are many ways to get things, without having to spend so much time on money. Sometimes, faster and easier ways to reach the goals appear when we let go of the idea of having to have money. Interesting world we live in. Peace -
Sure it is. You believe the earth is round. You are fighting any opposing belief system using words. I rather stay open to both options. Since I have little way of knowing and even if I did know, based on the perception problem, I would not really know. Since you seem to be having a hard time understanding the reasons why this is enjoyable, then we should just not talk about it. Those of us who do enjoy this will continue. You dont have to read this stuff. You dont have to reply. There is nobody to convert here. That defeats the purpose. Switching one paradigm for another is not my purpose here. Its to see both and choose neither. as best that I can, atleast. haha. Anywho, I hope you have a good dose of happiness, Ralis! We all need that. hah. Peace.

Maybe it is, maybe it is not. I cant say. I have not gone to space and looked at the earth. I do not know the universes truth so I cannot say if what I perceive is true. Its not a waste of time for me. Its a wonderful expense of time! hehe. I would rather have a flexible mind then one closed. No matter the reason for its closure. Thank you for coming to share your opinion, Ralis. I have gained much from it. Peace

Off topic derail, MPGs tips of saving money; now Prosperity and how to make money
Uroboros replied to skydog's topic in The Rabbit Hole
great post, SkyDog! Thanks for contributing! Money is just a method of value exchange. Thats it. You spend your time doing things for people so they give you money that supposedly equals the value you gave/ created. Does it? Often times not. Should you charge money to teach people what you know? Sure. I would ask your self if you add value to their lives. If so, then charge! People also seem to value things they pay for more then if it was free. Which is crazy. Just because we pay does not mean its worth much. On the topic of self-ishness....whats wrong with that? You are your self. You can only be your self. Taking care of your self, loving your self is a foundation of your existence. Loving our selves has gotten a bad reputation, confused for arrogance, which it is not. It is self love. Compassion. Focusing on abundance is a wonderful thing! Each of us must decide what we want. Do we want allot of stuff? Do we want a simple life? Letting go of the pain within us is incredibly powerful. Peace! -
Off topic derail, MPGs tips of saving money; now Prosperity and how to make money
Uroboros replied to skydog's topic in The Rabbit Hole
In my experience, the best money saving "method" was to sit down and decide what I value. Do I value a cup of coffee every day? Nope. Do I value healthy-ish food? Yep. Do I value going out to eat? Sometimes. Do I value my training? Hells yea! So I dont spend on stuff I dont really care about. some people really love eating out. Some people love having a nice apartment or car. To them, the value is there. Spend on what is really important. Also, making a graph chart to keep a track of income and expenses has helped me allot. I put the dates for each bill and income. That way, I know on the 15th, when I have a certain amount of money, on the 20th a certain amount will be taken out of it. I wont spend it. Helps to keep it out of your head. This blog has really good information, I feel. http://www.iwillteachyoutoberich.com/ Peace! -
If a Time Travel Machine is Built in the Future, Then..
Uroboros replied to SonOfTheGods's topic in The Rabbit Hole
That is the dillemma. If we have it in the future, then we could send information, if not people, back in time to give key people a leg up. Then moves would be made that seemed strange or stupid because they are using a walkthrough guide. They know how the events will ripple and are playing by different rules. Sounds familiar..... haha. Peace -
From their view point, it was. They may have been mistaken. How are the views anthropocentric? I have to say, you are being far more judgmental then quite a few of other people who have shared here. Its that view point of, I am right and you are wrong, that started things like the inquisition. No room for new views. No room to just imagine and wonder. No, it must be THIS way or you are wrong. It MUST be my way. We are the majority here, so we are RIGHT. So, before you say that someone else is acting in a manner similar to the inquisition, you may want to look at your own behavior. Peace!

There are differences in how much a person can create, I feel. Some are "integrated" enough to do big things. To shift their experience of life. Others can create a few pennies. I see no reason as to why the "horrors" of the world deny this concept. The world of duality needs them to exist. It provides contrast and a many varied experiences. The same is said of this conversation. many different points of views being shared. many ideas. All helpful for growth. I prefer not to deny pain. Denying it...turns into suffering more often then acceptance. By accepting, it is possible to step out of the small, personal view and see a larger, cosmic view. Of course, I do not KNOW why things happen. I have not entered into the Tao in that way, yet. The point is that even without that, I can see the importance of evil and pain. I can see how it teaches. How it provides contrast and experience. How the world would be nothing without it. The same is true for joy and pleasure. for happiness. I have yet to see SonOfTheGods say anything like how an "inquisitor" would. It all depends on the person. Some take the whole law of attraction to be empowering! Others take it to enforce their own judgmental views. Thats a people problem. Not the teaching it self. Personally, I can "see" how all the experiences in my life, good/ bad, have a connection within me. To me that is empowering and brings clarity. Pain happens. I learn from it. On the perception point you made, everything IS perception. You cannot separate experience from perception. Try and do it. The doing it is still YOU doing it and the YOU is perception. Thats a big deal to understand. its all inside our minds....where is the mind? Probably everywhere. Thank you for participating and offering your point of view, Ralis. I do appreciate it. Peace!

What is spirit, being, light, though? How do we know what is and is not in harmony/ alignment with it? If it is a feeling, is that emotion? How can we discern Qi- emotions and Shen- feelings? I like your line of thought.....Many avenues of questioning. Peace!
-
In theory, yes. It does often. Yet, It also goes the other way. I wonder how often that happens? The shen is quite nice! hehe. Peace

yep, I have a great teacher and solid practices. haha, it helps a HUGE amount! Well the no nocturnal emissions thing is probably because I masturbated multiple times a day, most of the time. Of course, even when I store, I dont have them....hmm...interesting. Stuff to think about! AWW, you should post the Sexy No Jutsu...its a great laugh. Peace
-
I agree. that helps allot. In my own experience, the energy creates the thoughts. Not sure what energy it is yet. May be different from Sexy Qi. anywho, once the sexy qi is moved into...better areas/ sublimated, the thoughts generally calm down quite a bit. The "heart" is calmer. It then becomes far easier to store sexy qi. Peace
-
I really like the lyrics! Very nice. Thank you for sharing, Colonel!
-
Hahah! Sexy No Jutsu! Fun. thats pretty much what it is, though... Sexy Qi. Course its far more then that. Still, I like the name. I have never had a nocturnal emission. Never stored it long enough, though. Well, I did do 28 days. It was easy, though. It was spontaneous. Part of my practice. Now...Im working on moving the energy, releasing tension and blockages that stop the energy from flowing and invigorating my body. Helps allot! Water Method from BKF's system is very helpful. Peace

Good point, SkyDog. It does make it so much harder for progress/ development to happen if people keep fighting it. Holding onto the old, strangling it within their grip.

Yes, they have come from the cookie jar. They want our cookies!! (high pitch scream) NOOOO

I think its the cupcake factory...they want our stuffing.....

I cant speak for SkyDog. I can speak for my self. I dont dislike science. I think its very useful. The problems come, I feel, when people use a certain belief system to close their minds and then enforce it with fanatical fervor. The biggest reason "matter" based sciences are enforced and create such fervor is that you can experience what this form of science investigates with your 5 senses. the 6th is not as limited to this realm, though. The point, I feel, is not to throw the baby out with the bathwater. Its to take what is good and let go of what is bad/ harmful. Many scientific advances are helpful. Many are harmful. We need refinement. Just because the "majority" believe something, does not make it true. This has been shown over and over again. Our understanding of gravity and the earth is also, in its baby stages. Give it another five hundred years and then we may have some real understanding. right now, humanity knows plenty about "matter". Little about what creates it. What is supporting it. Sure, some of the quantum mechanical information is quite interesting and points to the fluidity of nature/ reality. Yet some people are stuck in the 5 senses range. If they see it and touch it, it must be real. Is it real? Does science say that things are as they appear to be to us? No, science says we barely see anything. Our senses of life are extremely limited. Reality is also far more complex then- a rock is a rock- I dont care about feeling special or not. I just happen to enjoy thinking about ideas that require me to put down and let go of my previously held views/ beliefs. Its really that simple. Peace.
