  2. So I have a hernia...

I had a hiatul hernia. Doctors did a fundoplication. Major surgery to "fix" it. It didnt fix it, just lessened the symptoms. Later on, found a holistic healer, fixed the hernia in 3 minutes utilizing some applied kinesiology/ body manipulation therapy. After this, never had a problem with it. Something to think about.
  3. Middle TanTien- Governs Qi?

That is a helpful explanation! Thank you, Zhongyong I have been pondering the acorn analogy lately...How it relates to Naturalness(ziran) in Taoism. The acorn becomes the tree, full potential actualized, at its own rhythm and pace, without the need for will-power or effort to make it so. Utilizing that principle for actualizing the human potential is a part of what led me to the ideas of the MTT and the Organs. I feel they relate, unsure how yet. Any ideas?
  4. Middle TanTien- Governs Qi?

Thank you for expanding your point for clarity. Most will require more contemplation before I can bring up more of a response or inquiry into the first bit. As to your expanation of transformation, in refining our own inherent potential, we do change form in subtle and not so subtle ways. Our body and mind changes the way it operates and what it can do. Becoming something very different, even if it looks near same. Because the base form is the same, do you consider it not a transformation as you have defined it? Would be it more like purifying base into pure?
  5. Middle TanTien- Governs Qi?

Its not a sidetrack at all. The YC does tie in and is connected to the MTT in some way. Definitely worth exploring.
  6. Middle TanTien- Governs Qi?

I have heard that the SanJiao is more about energetic metabolism. Does this relate to what you said about the TT especially connecting to it? And through the SJ, to the other Organs? This is really what I am pondering. How the Organs and the TT inter-relate. How the process of transformation, or potentiality to actuality, occurs within the whole being. I am not just focusing on the MTT, It has just come up lately. Zhongyong, if you can, could you clarify what is meant by the mencius quote, that a man must be sage before he can satisfy the design of his bodily organization?
  7. Middle TanTien- Governs Qi?

The Yellow Court is a fascinating place. Moving the diaphragm seems to pump the Yellow Court, thereby inducing a cleansing/ purifying of the stuck emotions. I use to feel allot of cold there, not much anymore...Breathing worked it out. I will add that to my framework of the MTT. Transformation is the name of the game! What are we transforming? Our selves. What are we? I dont know. The Heart and Lungs are not talked about as much as other organs. Even though we use the Lungs to breathe and the Heart to pump the blood. As you say, much of what we feel stems from them. Maybe it also has to do with switching modes, fight or flight to rest/rejuvinate. Breathing(lungs) manipulates the pulse (Heart) to slow or speed it up. The Lungs purge and nourish through breathing and the Heart nourishes through blood flow regulation while also assisting in purging. All about movement, healing and purging...Transformation. Without them, we die quick. We cannot function at all without the Lungs or Heart. Things to ponder... Thanks for participating guys!
  8. Middle TanTien- Governs Qi?

I agree, you cannot lump the organs and the TT together as the same thing. I simply want to point to where they connect and why. I feel it is a beneficial topic of discussion and exploration. I also agree that the TT become more palpable in later stages as they seem to "stabilize" or transform....In the beggining the organs seem to be a more direct route, to build health and by connection work the TT. Even though the TT and the Organs do not operate the same way, nor are they the same thing, would you agree that they are connected? If they are connected, do they work together? Such as, heart and lungs work with middle.
  9. Middle TanTien- Governs Qi?

Ahh, the combination of Lung and Heart Virtue create Compassion/ real Love. To clarify, are you saying that the courage of the lungs is a deeper emptiness then the love(or order) of the heart? Thank you for contributing.
  10. That is a great thread/ post! He really experienced wonderful benefits. The Baguazhang fits him well.
  11. Hello, Kudos From my own experience, find a teacher. Find one who teaches qigong and who you feel is good for you. Talk to them, tell them what you are going through and do what they say. My own healing journey- I was born with an underdeveloped digestive system and liver. Along with some damage done to my skeletal system during birth. The digestion issues showed up quickly and the doctors said I would outgrow it. I never did. The same with my liver. Various other traumas happened, falling 5 feet onto the back of my head at around 2, running into a table that hit the bridge of my nose at 3, etc. My overall condition continued to worsen over time, gradually increasing in the speed of malfunction. Migraines daily, vomitting 2-5 times a day, pains, aches, fatigue and other symptoms started to manifest as a daily occurence around 5. This contined to deepen until deeper organs were now starting to malfunction. By 14, the doctors said I would have to wear diapers at 18 and may never eat again if it was not fixed. They just had no idea as to why it was happening. They never did. Add in some psychosis, break with reality/ identity and suicidal/homicidal rages, that went on through to 18. At 18, I was able to stablizie my mental scape enough to graps reality. At 18, my father died and he left me a bit of money which I used to go find a healer. I did not find my teacher until 22. I had gone through various healing methods, none healing the root or anywhere near the root. I was able to function somewhat as my body had adapted as best it could. I was still dying and felt it everyday. After I found my teacher, he taught me Wild Goose QiGong and that is the first thing that actually started to heal my body. That healing has brought me to a place where I can now live. I can work, I can travel, I can have sex, I can function. Sure, I still have limits and my body does get fatiqued easily enough. Its also sensitive to lots of foods and substances. I am a completely different person. No longer a walking ghost, waiting for death to finally come. All this to say, you can be dying and heal. You can have no idea whats wrong and heal. Great luck to you.
  12. This is fantastic! TM, you have explained something I have been noticing concerning the MingMen. Not to put things too off topic, this region moves with breathing, opening/closing, and should be doing the same during sex. The orgasmic reflex as reich said. During reverse breathing, we switch when we open and close. When I work with sexual energy during sex, the closing of the MingMen is what truly moves that substance inwards. If my MingMen is open, say by bending forward, its a struggle. If it is closed, like in yoga's cobra posture, its near effortless. I do not have much experience with ZZ, I wanted to point out the wide applications of this fundamental.. This is a good thread Thank you
  13. Hello, all! I have been contemplating how important breath is after my partner told me a story about what happened to her sister who is paralyzed, along with being born with spina bifida. Her body is curling up on itself and she cannot walk, all the organs are failing, etc. In her families attempts to find a way to help her, an experimental procedure was offered. It used hyperbaric chambers to heal dead nerves. The doctors said that they could heal her paralyzation. She has never walked before, let alone felt any sensation in her legs. They set the oxygen levels around 30- 50 percent. The dosage was one week out of the month she would go inside the chamber for an hour every day. A total of 7 hours per month. There were immediate changes overall. Her pains were lessened, her breathing improved, her posture and body was more supple and relaxed. Her retardation lessened. This was just in the first week. After 3 months, her nervous system started to heal and she could feel her legs and lower abdomen. The problem was that it was excruciatingly painful. Dead nerves were now alive but sending constant pain. The doctors said that it was part of the process and it would pass as she healed more. The pain was too much and they did not continue the treatment. Eventually, because her nerves did not heal enough, they regressed back to paralyzation. Another man was a part of the program. He had been in a vegetative state for years. He was aware but could not move his body except blink. After 6 months of treatment, he could walk, talk and was mentally ok. All this JUST from oxygen?! If all this can be had from increasing the oxygen we breathe, do we cultivate the same kind of effect through breath work/ pranayama? If so, why do anything else? I think this is fascinating! What do you all think?
  14. Breath- All we really need?

I had heard similar stories, diluted by multiple degrees of separation. This is the first time I had heard first hand experiences. The potential is amazing! Oh? I did not know that about dolphins and whales. What does their unique breathing mechanics allow them to do?
  15. Breath- All we really need?

Maybe it will never be the only thing we need, could it be all we need for cultivation, though?
  16. Breath- All we really need?

There definitely is more to breathing then just oxygen, for sure. There is the spinal fluid movement mechanism, the organ stimulation and then we have the subtle breath, as well. LOTS to breathing!! Maybe it is all we need..... I dont know, yet.
  17. Breath- All we really need?

You are welcome! Im glad you enjoyed it!
  18. Breath- All we really need?

Im glad you like it! I keep pondering this and it keeps blowing my mind! Yes, if she could have withstood it, she probably would have been able to walk for the first time..Even so, it was not worth it to her. I have heard that theory, MH! My partner and I talked about it recently. Some say that is why there could have been giants in the past, as well. It may also explain why there is a common theme of people living so long, 500 years and up in myth. Maybe, they did. Heh, my father was a smoker. I got plenty of it from that..I do not need more.
  19. qigong and sexual energy

It was quite the transformation. One that is ongoing. I would like to know how you like it, feel free to pm me. Concerning retention....Why do you want to retain? The purpose does change what you do and why. If it is for health, you will only need to restrain your ejaculations. Spiritual cultivation? Well, retention itself wont do that. You need a practice that works with your retention to sublimate and transform. Dont worry too much about ejaculating. Some of the best advice I was given is that the mind is where the urge to ejaculate resides and that when you start to change that habit, it will do it when you are asleep! Keep going and that will fade. That advice was correct in my experience. Work to be natural. Sometimes you may be able to retain for a week, others a month or more, sometimes only a day before your sexual desire becomes too hot and wild. Take it slow. You have allot of time to get very skilled at these arts, do not rush. Rushing will only cause you guilt and shame, exacerbating your neurotic tendencies. Great luck!
  20. Harmonious completion in nature, video

I think what I meant was not expressed properly. I will expand to clarify. Retention is not a big part of WG, as I understand it. The system itself does sublimate your sexual energies, through practice. It also strengthens your post natal body (1st 64 Form), thereby increasing your sexual energy and drive. If you want to retain, you will find these two dynamics playing out in various ways when you practice. I happen to need to retain, otherwise my health plummets. It is also pretty easy for me, as I do not hold my self to unreachable standards. I work the natural way as best I can. Keeping the practice relaxed and feeling good. Sometimes my body wants to ejaculate, most of the time it does not. The practice of WG works the best for me to channel that energy, allowing my body more room to utilize and expand its functions. ie- instead of putting such potent forces into sperm to create life outside of me, utilize it to create more life in me. It is not something necessary for most. My teacher ( who is also my doctor/ healer) is the one who is incorporating retention/ sublimation into my practice as my unique constitution requires it to improve. I hope that clarifies what I was attempting to express.
  22. qigong and sexual energy

I dont mind sharing at all. I was born with an underdeveloped digestive system(intestines, stomach etc) and liver. There were complications at birth that damaged my skeletal system, predominently my skull, as well. These were supposed to mature around age 2. They never did. This, along with various traumas eventually created a whole system dysfuntion/ disease pattern that nearly killed me. Wild Goose is what saved my life. It is the one thing that radically improved my overall constitution and improved my health by miles. Before, I could barely function. My memory and mind were a fog, constant exhaustion and pain, barely exerting any energy like going grocery shopping for two hours once a week would end in migraines, vomitting, shakes and chills for a day at least. Then, for the rest of the week I would be wiped out. Now, in the past year I have gotten to where I can work a 6 hour shift 4 days a week in a high activity job. On the off days, I dont just collapse into exhausted rest. I am out doing things, errands, dates, etc. I can wake up in the morning, where before my body would be unable to function, now I can live a full day of activity. A complete transformation in my overall constitution! Deep and constant. I did not just do Wild Goose, though. The first year and a half I did not do much clinical work, then I added in some occasional clinical work and supplementation. Diet is also a big factor. Although, now I can eat crappier food ( meaning other then fresh, organic veggies and some meats) and not only function, but feel good and thrive. The WG is the big life altering factor and still makes a big difference in how alive I feel. To answer your question about complexity, I have only learned the 1st 64 form, not because it is so complex that it requires that long to learn but because I studied other QiGong forms and styles with my teacher afterwards. Plant many seeds, see what takes root, kind of thing. We also refined the form, altering the basic movements to the more advanced. It took me about 6 months to learn the 1st 64 Form, seeing my teacher twice a week. Lots of practice, hehe. I had to go over it over and over in my mind, then practice for hours every day just to remember 3 moves! hah. Now, I remember easily. It is a fantastic, life long practice. If it speaks to you, works with you...You will be amazed, I feel. I hope that my experience helps you. Are you willing to share who your potential teacher is?
  23. qigong and sexual energy

You are welcome. It is an amazing system to practice. It improved my health and was able to improve dysfunctions I was born with. The 1st 64 did has not completely healed these pre-birth dysfunctions, it has improved them dramatically to where I can now actually function and live in the world. The 1st 64 deals with the Post Natal world, the 2nd with the Pre-Natal. I feel excited to see if the 2nd will completely heal dysfunctions that originated pre-birth. Anywho, all this to say, I am a huge proponent of the system and have experienced tremendous, life saving and altering transformation from its practice. I hope you experience the same, if not better, benefits. Great luck and most of all, Enjoy!
  24. qigong and sexual energy

I have been practing Wild Goose for about 3 and a half years now. I have learned the 1st 64 Form. Soon will be learning the 2nd 64. It is an amazing system. It will definitely help you transmute/ re-direct/ internalize your sexual energy, if done daily. It will also bring huge healing benefits. Thats been my experience. Keep in mind that your sexual energy will get stronger, as well. Its a weird thing, you practice to utilize your sexual energy while at the same time your sex drive and energy gets stronger. So the more you practice, the harder it is to contain! That is a good thing. You will get stronger from your base drives. Just keep practicing. Keep training. Emotionally, it is good you are aware of the aspects you want to change. It helps to be aware of what must change. You may find that your emotional state transforms as you practice Wild Goose. Mine did.
