  1. BTT again as I really like this thread (obviously) And it is a very inspirational concept when stuck in the middle of dark current events to know it's really not as important as you think
  2. Discussion topics.

14~16. They are probably getting a lot about choosing school subjects for carers, universities etc. So perhaps something about how hard work in the next 10 years can set them up for life. Chosing thing that keep many options open rather than narrowing down later options. BUT let them know it is actually ok not to "know what you want to be when you grow up" and it's ok to be confused about what to do and reassure them that if you don't have a clue or get it all wrong you can still have an awesome life Bluntly depends a bit on the group. Highly motivated academics I would focus more on the importance of doing something that makes them happy, the importance of relaxation so they don't burn out. Slackers I would be looking for something that would motivate them to try. Perhaps if people struggle accademicaly how school success need not equal success in the world. So thats more of the same that tends to get drumed into people It's important, but repetitive. Personally I was always chasing happieness (easy for me as acadamically gifted so schoolwork was easy) This topic could be VERY interesting Most Events that Happen to us do not Matter! http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?showtopic=7448 Anything on the TED site is VERY inspirational, good ideas there. Sex is always fun & boys worry about relationships too. Could be a fun tie in with other group i.e. what do you worry about and want in a relationship, next week this is what girls listed as worries/wants discus similarities differences. Do they have a suggestion box so the groups can give requests about interests / worries? Sounds like fun, enjoy
  3. Kunlun follow up poll

Most importantly I love you all. In Trunks defense his HT background, which I don't actually know and can only guess at from his posts over the years, In my humble opinion makes him particularity wary of practices with any potential for negative side effects. Good stuff in this thread. I still like Kunlun, but nobody is ever going to agree. If TTB teaches us anything it should teach us that. Nothing is ever what we think it is. What we get is rarely what we expected and we all deal with that differently. We are from all corners of the world with an infinite multitude of backgrounds and experiences. Nice to see Chris posting again. I really do love you all.
  4. Trunk and Lin, that was an awesome Star Trek fight seen and you know it. I'll stand for no critisim of captain James T Posts=2,802 and my house is FILLED with Geckos oh crap and I practiced Kunlun for a year almost everyday. AAARRRRRRRRRggggggggg.............
  5. For Chuang Tzu I quite like Victor Mair's "Wandering on the Way" as it helps give a bit of background information to the text. I'm going to plug my own thread also http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?showtopic=4503
  6. well I'm pleased to report

  9. Birth Control/Retention

Yes No I understand your worry about effects of a morning after pill. We have used them 2x and believe that the effects of an abortion or an unwanted child are much worse. I tend to play it very safe even though the chances are quite remote as we do not want pregnancy. YMMV helping others, helps ourselves.

Hehe, a person can never be too wet. Yes Earth Water Fire Air Void. The exercise are just preparation to get you familiar with those feelings/ elements. The ones I remember. Earth was the walking slowly with deep roots Water I cheat as I do Tai Chi, but I think it was a more fluid walk. Pelvis is a box - practice swishing the water around in it. Water was also good for healing injuries with the hands. Fire is Tumo Air Spider stretch and healing/loving/heart centred practices. Was that your question?
