  1. Unethical advertisments on the Bums

Not that I pay much attention, but it seems like the banners adds have recently changed (thick black theory and some other thing with a couple embracing on it) Upgrade perhaps.
  2. Depressed.

Ha ha that's right Scotty, perhaps I should take up alchemy Can you post that to our partners for those of us who have been together for a long time. ROFLMAO Or perhaps that common situation many experience is due to too many O's at the start of those relationships, apparently orgasms weaken love bonds - http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?s=&amp...st&p=128996 Seriously though, there is a distinction between lustful and loving thoughts. While I don't personally feel there is a problem with lustfull, one would hope a girlfriend would promote loving thoughts too Alchemy isn't my thing but can you not transmute those lustful energy's for alchemy? I love it when something stimulates me as it's a chance to draw that energy back into myself and upwards rather than let it fly forward and out.
  3. KAP class

hehehe yes horney is good Sexual energy is the easiest / most common form of energy to feel. Definitely post your questions to Tao. He is your teacher and is there to help you Actually I have a feeling Tao could help you with your other "worry" too if he knew about it. Keep a practice blog on your Kap groups facebook page as Way suggests. Tao loves to hear what his students are doing and is really helpful with questions. Knowing what people are practicing and having difficulty with helps him plan his next class too. I only post here because 1 I like TTB 2 Santi reads my rambelings 3 I really love many of the people here. But it's easier to post in the kap facebook group as you can describe exactly what you are doing and if others in your group do the same it's quite helpful. Plus you get to know them better. I feel so close to Tony, Margarita and Fran who I have done KAP 1&2 with.
  4. Forbidden Rice

Toss some wild rice Zizania palustris into your rice cooker with some long grain brown rice. It cooks in the same amount of time and is delicious.
  5. Personal Practice Blog?

PM'ing Sean and / or Yoda is the way to get a personal practice section of you own. A bit of waiting is required though. Yoda is on a sabbatical and Sean is pretty flat out and only checks in on us now and then. If you make a thread in the section while you are waiting it's pretty easy for Sean to move it into your won section when he creates them and it will keep your thoughts off goggle. Hope that helps 10 days after your questions
  6. Advice for Tai Chi needed.

Inded but BTW Old Man Contradiction we dont often see appologies on TTB, it mush be against the rules or something so be careful you could get banned!!! I continue not to do standing practices. My Sifu does not like static stances like mar bo for people my weight (110 kg) I went against his recomendations, as he does quite a good horse stance, got some corrections from him and practiced it for a few months and my knee got quite sore I asked him about it as mar bo is very much a fundamental technique in the old days (although not in Tong Long) and he said "Well Sifus use to teach with the stick too" (hitting students) & gave me that amused look I see quite often from him So I now practice the moving low stance he taught me to do instead. Pole standing is again not something my teachers dwell on so I follow there recomendations. Everyone is different. My Sifu teaches Tai Chi for health only and recommends we do our Yang long form 2x a day. Thats 40 min of Tai Chi form and thats what I do. He virtually never talks about energy outside of "feel the chi move, you should start to sweat and feel sticky on the skin". I've been with him for 8 years and yesterday when doing our chi gongs for Tong Long he mentioned the two directions of energy in the body (i.e. orbits) 1st time he ever mentioned that. He is very traditional Chinese and does not like to waste class time talking about stuff he wants us to do it. I probably know 2x more book fu than he does, but I can only do 5% of it where as he can demonstrate everything he talks about.

  9. The Art of Shen Ku

After checking out a few reviews I brought it. I like the art and writing style, for some reason it reminds me of those old British comics like viz. I do like comics and have always wanted a junior woodchuck book Should be fun

  11. Is the opposite sex a hindrance?

Personally I find it an enabler, but beware because they are very distracting

  14. what books to recomend a beginner?

I'm just being flippant too Actually it would be nice to read Chinese and check out the canon.
  15. Karezza & taoist sexual practice

Yes take out the opiate of the masses, TV and increasingly the net and More time for love + much less porn I also wonder what contraception has done to us. Sex would be an entirely different ballgame (sports reference ) if there was a chance of children..... Plus growing up in the late 80's with the Aids scare and safe sex education having unprotected sex or even actually trying to get someone pregnant just seems.... wrong
  16. what books to recomend a beginner?

Taoism as a "ism" Eva Wong: Shambala Guide to Taoism http://www.thetaobums.com/Eva-Wong-Shambal...sion-t5001.html i.e why is there no taoist bible / why does everybody argue about everything If there was one book that I wish I had read earlier then this is it. explains a lot about the different flavours of Taoism. That should help you get a handle on things. Eva Wong and Thomas Cleary are great places to start with more traditional Taoism, but its a very broad topic. I started out with the bits that interested me most (sex) and filled in the gaps over the years so don't stress trying to learn everything at once, it's a journey Meditation "books" are not really my thing and searching for "meditation" here gives 21 Pages (Search results limited to first 1000) So I'll let someone else narrow that a touch for you because all I can think of recommending is Kunlun Oh forgot DVD's if you are stuck by yourself and want to practice get this Ken Cohen The Essential QiGong Training Course worth every penny, even though it's a lot of pennies and mine was a gift from my partner Too many people skip fundamentals, jumping to the complex stuff without a solid foundation.
