Seminal Retention: What is the best result I can expect from it?
Mal replied to Chi kung apprentice's topic in General Discussion
Trunks excellent summary http://www.precisiondocs.com/~altaoism/HLLinsLinks.htm I recommend buying the CD because you WILL go insane trying to read Lin's site although it is all there for free. Surprisingly the CD is actually well organized. -
I'm going to give a college lecture tomorrow on Taoism

Yes, how did it go? I also much prefer Chuang Tzuto the Tao Te Ching. A long time ago Taomeow or Cat once said it was worthwhile remembering that Lao Tzu was "forced" to write it, hence starting with "Words cannot describe the Tao, and The Tao cannot be named." Nonetheless this one is fun Tao Te Ching I also like Hua Hu Ching I don't have Lieh Tzu. Recomendations A.C. Graham vs Eva Wong ? -

Post KAP 1 Grad Ingredients we cultivate daily.

Yes it is overwhelming..... and it can be difficult just getting to grips with one set of practices then the next week it's even more cool stuff to try to learn. I actually like it when Santi goes traveling and we get a week off I wonder what a seminar must be like But I've been picking and choosing practices all my life so KAP isn't that much of a change. And you don't have to practice everything all the time (unless you want to) I find there are some things I really like, others not so much, and some days I just feel like doing something different. What was the big bonus is that KAP integrated into my life. Yes I know everything is suppose to integrate into your life. But KAP was the process that actually made that connection for me I'm very grateful to Santi for this gift, thank you _/\_ -

Also have a look at http://www.alchemicaltaoism.com/ Very useful. Perhaps have a good re-read of Chia too. It's been a while but I'm pretty sure at the start of his books he points out that there is a LOT more to his system than just retention. Hopefully you are doing those practices too if you want to journey down this path. -
If you don't want things to CHANGE don't do ANY practices that work Everything negative seems to be a variant on "it's not doing it the way I want / expected" "I don't understand what is going on" "this is not what I wanted" The illusion of choice

is enlightenment a mental disease, according to psychology?
Mal replied to mantis's topic in General Discussion
Try reading the DSM4. You (everyone) are going to get hits for all sorts of disorders but don't let it stress you. Bluntly the Key is if you can successfully function in society (which could be argued as a mental disorder in itself!) -

Glad to hear you guys had fun, I was disappointed not to be able to make it. Still there is always next time, I know how to approach these sort of thing properly now I'm also flying down for a weekend in November (21,22) which should only be the 21st for Tong Long. (day not confirmed) If that happens I hope to be able to fit in a private session with Nick on the Sunday. Will see how it all unfolds this time

me too Well if the society you are in makes it an advantageous to have those certificates, then you should probably spend at least 15 years doing primary -> secondary -> tertiary education and get your Artium Baccalaureus. I did. Having a degree or formal education doesn't make you "smart" but it does indicate that they are able to play a certain game by certain rules "better" than other people. Thereby making it easier for others to rank your "abilities" without having to know anything about you as an individual. Just because we are not competitive, doesn't mean society isn't

Some random and funny thing and I am asking for some help with pyrokinesis?
Mal replied to mewtwo's topic in General Discussion
Actually mewtwo getting any effect from something you made up is pretty cool. Have you ever thought about doing KAP or even something like Spring Forest Qi Gong? You could be a natural and KAP has some very cool stuff in it. -
