  1. Buddha speaks!

I know you know the answer. I however do not, there is no-thing that is not God. You seem to like that one so I reposted it for you
  2. Buddha speaks!

We are here. (I never have a decent ? for this thread so I'll go with this one for mYTHmAKER) "What is the everything that is not Tao."
  3. New Member Introduction

Hi Pat, Nice to see a fellow KAPer Welcome to the 'bums. I think you will have fun here.
  4. hi everyone

Hi hhq, Welcome to the 'bums. Ask away & have a good 1 2
  5. Hello all

Hi joakim, Welcome to the 'bums. Don't let the "intellectual aura" put you off. We know nothing too Have fun.
  6. Healing gallblader and kidneys

MTS in his 2 week advertorial posted a TCM kidney medicine, but I'm having trouble remembering which of the 10,000 threads it was in edit: http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?s=&amp...ost&p=95564 found it, no idea if it will help though.......
  7. Yes the Okinawa stuff is well know, as you pointed out, usually packaged into a diet and forced down peoples throats I like how the show then went to the Mediterranean family. Almost a polar opposite, diet wise. About the only common thing was alcohol consumption. So I'm guessing a diet that suits "your genertics" is the important thing. Anyone heard about the religion stat before?
  8. Yes, he improved my life with the Hindi squats and pushups. Although I'm doing them REALLY slowly now and not doing much bridging currently. I think if I had seen all the marketing before learning about combat conditioning I would have been put off. Some of his videos are ....... unusual. p.s. nice to see a few posts from you, feels like the good old days
  9. Buddha speaks!

Because you even put a cat on a leash! Poor dog is probably terrified When I look in a mirror, what looks back?
  10. should I keep listening for more than 40 seconds, or will it just be 10 min of my life I won't get back
  11. The Tao Bums Know-it-Alls

heha yes wait till we release the hounds (although if you have been searching some of our more opinion polarizing topics you will have seen that)
  12. The Tao Bums Know-it-Alls

We are. Which thread are you reading Adj? Edit The Tao Bums Know-it-Alls Good or bad? Master Nan & Bill Bodri - circulation being a waste of time What is wrong with the new age movement? How humans are not physically created to eat meat Martial arts strikes 'time delayed' effects Celibate or not * 12 Reverse breathing against the Dao? Practice problem microcosmic orbit Except for Practice problem microcosmic orbit I would expect the above to get a bit polarized and heated. Unfortunately not everyone plays nice. But the world is like that and we live in it. Usually we get on alright, most of the time.
  13. A Test on Morality

Nice dichotomy, and I'm the only person accidentally bumping the fat man no excuse, spontaneous choice rather than a cheating intellectual answer, but I do plan sex
  14. Bump and a question for Brisbane public transport guru's. http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?act=ST...t=0#entry101989 If I can get accommodation leaning towards arrive Friday, leave Monday, wander about Brisbane on the weekdays and do the seminar on the weekend. Might be able to line up some Tong Long on Monday
  15. I'm not good at traveling, help me. If I fly to Bris on Friday and use a daily pass for up to 15 zones ($23) I can take the bus/train around the city, then go to Robina (Gold Coast) by train that after noon, which is cheaper than $23.30 for an Airtrain ticket to Robina. I can't do this on the weekend (use a daily ticket) But I can do the same thing on Monday, train into the city, wander about and then go to the airport later that day. Info: http://www.airtrain.com.au/products_goldcoast.php http://www.citytrain.com.au/plan_your_trip...day_tickets.asp A GO card might be even cheaper, I try to fly down once a year. http://www.translink.com.au/qt/TransLin.ns.../ti_fares_aug08 I really just want to get from the airport to central, have a look around the mall and go to Pulp Fiction (bookshop) To Brunswick to look at Chinatown and Nth Queensland Martial Arts Supplies (walking distance) Then to Robina on the Gold Coast Basically the same on the return journey into the city from the gold coast, look around the to the airport later in the day.
  16. "Shinka" Meditation System

All systems have merit. If it helps people meditate I'm all for it. Bum Grasshopper seem to be the 'bum that knows the beats http://www.thetaobums.com/index.php?showtopic=4551&hl=
  17. physical rehab

Cool, remember there is no rush, you want to be doing this for the rest of your life Yes and this is unusual. Most students dont even bother to practice between classes! The ones that do are rare and it is noticed. I'd try to save up just to get to 1 class so that Sifu knows you haven't lost interest. Apologize for not being able to attend due to finances. But don't complain about it further. (Again also rare people love to go on and on with excuses, just say how it is) If you did that once or twice for a few months with your good practice habits you will probably keep up with many of your classmates. And you might be surprised, apart from needing to pay for hall rental and expenses, most Sifu's don't really care about money.
  18. I practice KunLun

All good. But a lot of people (generally, wasn't specifically at you) could be turned away from kunlun because of the reasons stated. Which is a shame as you can get a LOT out of kunlun. But it's "marketing tactics" generates huge traffic here and like you said every time there is a thread there are people thinking about it. Has there ever been a "new" system that gets this many threads over time? What's that quote "any publicity is good publicity?" p.s. How is Chris btw have not seen Mantra68 here for a bit. Any kunloonies feel free to say Hi from MArLey
