  1. new kunlun book

Is the new book more "Muggle friendly" or still a bit too "out there" ? I'd like to give my dad a read but I gave him Tolle's The Power of Now for his birthday and it may have been a bit strange for him (I usually give him a science book) "maoshan traveling hands (astral projection)" that sounds like a lot of fun, I was mad keen on astral projection in my early 20's but never had much success. Anyone had any luck with that method? (color edition still in the mail ) I can understand that, especially if, like me, you have tried a lot of book practices and really not had much or anything happen. Kunlun is VERY different, you will feel something very quickly and that can be a real eye opener for us "book learners"
  2. Kunlun benefits?

Bliss is a lot of fun and cheaper than drugs And the active phase feels very nice for my lower back and shoulders. The most noticeable benefit is I can now meditate for over an hour, last October when I started kunlun the best I could manage was 20 min. And you can go at your own pace. I just enjoy the meditation but if I do a lot of days in a row, I can get a bit silly, so I take a few days off till I feel like practicing again as I'm not really ready for change yet.
  3. Kunlun Level 2

the mystery of the disappearing KoHsuan I tried L2 recently, actually the same day I did K1 twice. The second time through K1 was a lot more intense, I can see why AugustLeo practices 2x a day {IIRC} but it's hard enough finding 1h20m let alone ~3h a day But I don't feel ready yet for K2, retention is definitly not ready and the K1/RP practice sounds a lot more more "time efficient" Bring on the seminar but hang in there KoHsuan if you make it through K2 you won't NEED any seminar I was re reading my book (waiting for the new one) and if anyone managed to do K1 [an hour] K2 [36 reps] K3 [an hour] for a year thats a dam impressive chunk of time devoted to meditation. I can see why they call this the quick path. Personally I love doing K1 when "I" feel like it (ie. have not done any for the last 3 days after my 2 in a day experiment)

Welcome to the 'bums Roges. With 23 years of practice you can be that "reckless" keep playing and have fun here at the 'bums
  5. Laoshr

Hi Laoshr, 23 years of practice is inspirational! I hope I can keep up my martial arts practice for the rest of my life, so it's good to see some more long term practitioners. Welcome to the 'bums.
  6. Hi

  7. This is who I am. May I learn?

  8. retention and Sexual Health

http://www.alchemicaltaoism.com/ Trunk's site, heaps of info. (I like Dr Lyn's method) I had Chia books on retention at 18....... didn't find them that usefull till ~30 Y/O At 18 I'd try to just enjoy being in love. Retention is a tricky path, be very carefull. IMHO all the "weird" stuff only becomes usefull when you are older and no longer have "instant" recovery And as energy work not many of us have any success without a teacher.
  9. Hello

Hi Brad, Looks like an intresting site, not that I can read it but the photos are very cool Have fun here at the 'bums
  10. Ramana's 40 Verses on Reality

Thanks Lozen, I really like that explanation.
  11. Kunlun in Australia?

Bumped for Seth, I know KoHsuan is still keen and might back me in requesting Brisbane Or perhaps we should organize a down under assault on Hawaii or have a big 'bum get together at one of the other seminars. Students usually go to the teacher so ..... I'm trying not to badger Chris all the time
  12. Greetings

The Doctor is in (sorry I'm a Rossie fan when he isn't beating Stoner {Motor GP}) Hope you have a great time here at the 'bums
  13. Kunlun and Kungfu

You have answered your own question Max isn't going to kick you out for being honest. You like Martial Arts, you want to defend yourself, the quote is about a desire to hurt and injure others, not a desire to protect yourself. I'm told by people that have been to seminars that Max is quite good at kung fu himself and might even help you out with martial arts bits and pieces.
  14. What is Martial Arts Spirit to you?

I was going to do a proper answer, but I'll share something I was thinking about yesterday. I've just started learning a paired staff drill for Tong Long (After learning the solo form last year) So to me martial arts means :- When I was a kid I use to pretend to be Monkey with his magic wishing staff. Now at 35 I can pretend to be Monkey with his magic wishing staff, except now the staff actually works ! (ok not the size changing bit, but I'm sure that will happen when I master cloud calling ) So as well as learning to respect Elders Parents Teachers and their teachings and training to be Kind Honest Generous and Kung Fu I get to have fun at the same time.
  15. new kunlun book

I think the best example of kunlun doing something good is the change in our most frequent poster Come on Cam, what happened to your top 5 lists or which martial art should I do threads (note Cameron was never negative about anyones practices, just a bit ... indecisive about which path) (edit and Yoda is now #1 poster....wow) With love
  16. hmm, i got a question

Sounds perfect, go after that one. I think WYG is just laughing because you are going after his "most questions" title. The majority of us (I think) are in relationships where only one person is cultivating. My partner just thinks I'm a bit weird...... which is true
  17. Yo.

haha, you are going to have an excellent time here. cheers
  18. new kunlun book

hehe, there are a few people I would have given the first book to, but I didn't think they would make it through to the method. Anyhow I like Kunlun (I like weird things too) $45 for the special edition and express postage is well worth it IMHO. Although I doubt I'll actually do any of the new practices, unless Chris & Max end up swinging past Australia anytime soon and teaching them. I'm happy enough just doing kunlun 1. YMMV, it's all good, don't forget to
  19. Yo.
