  1. Yin chi number 3

In catch 22 didn't everyone go insane in order to cope with the insane situation?
  2. Yin chi number 3

Agreed, if anyone thinks they can tidy it (this thread) up and that the effort involved in doing that is worthwhile - then go for it (the report relating to this was on page 2 )
  3. Yes and its Edit to add: I'm not trying to be evasive. I have some history and experience at moderating TTB and making a fast decision when you are unsure on something new has generally not worked out well. and yes i have seen something like "1 billion posts on the internet" eg Mak Tin Sun (IIRC) flooding the board with posts.
  4. My understanding is that MPG is doing his best to do as directed, is not trying to be deliberately annoying, but does want to express his opinion. Dawei, like us, we will need to wait for for clarification from admin regarding this matter.
  5. Yin chi number 3

People can try to be helpful (which seems to be the intent of TTB) or they can try to be a hindrance.
  6. Opinion on "Mind-Altering Substances"?

"You are not what you think you are.. but what you think, you are " I recall that once upon a time it was though that nobody could run a 4 minute mile, it was impossible apparently ... but once Roger Bannister achieved it so did several others in the following year and I'm told now that good highschool runners can http://www.nomeatathlete.com/4-minute-mile-certainty/ this may be of interest http://vimeo.com/75940226 Kilindi Iyi is the Head Instructor and Technical Advisor of the Tamerrian Martial Art Institute. He is a mycologist, teacher and world traveler who has presented on the subject of high-dose psilocybin from the US to Norway to Australia. Filmed at Breaking Convention 2013
  7. dual cultivation thoughts

Diana is a great author, I like this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/0892811331/ref=pd_aw_sims_1?pi=SY115 It's a partnership, have fun together
  8. The teaching of Quanzhen

In my experience, even in their native spoken language, most people struggle to communicate clearly without misunderstandings. Written language adds more opportunities for misunderstanding. So no need to "do ya block" (very understandable to Australians - hopefully confusing to everyone else )
  9. Not practicing in the wind is a traditional "don't", wearing long sleeves to keep the "chi" in is a traditional "do" But is it cold where you are? The weather here is generally warm to hot so I do find a nice brease rather pleasant when practicing.
  10. Neidan vs Qigong

Energy in motion and from the same page this one titled "Heel Daoyin" !
  11. The Tyranny of the Physicalist

I find internal/external a bit of a problematic divide and think a holistic approach is better that either or i.e.an external stylist should still have internal components e.g. boxing is very physical but many boxers employ visualization and Internal stylists should have physical skills eg correct structure. But I agree that there does seem to be more people that seem focused more on the external aspects of Tai Chi eg P.s my vote is much more like I just practice and hope one day the truth will become evident to me.
  12. I use to love writing huge abusive tirades Always made me feel good as long as I deleted them rather than sending them
  13. I'm looking forward to fast implementation of the moderator rotation policy so if people want to have a go at moderating TTB please get in touch
  14. Fireflys

I had to go to a river to do a practice at dusk for KAP so I picked a river that I drive over every day going to and from work. After walking under the bridge and finding a nice spot I was doing the meditation and started to notice these green lights, though they might have been some weird reflections from the passing cars but no they were fireflies! Super cool Plus I didn't even know we had Fireflies locally, Iā€™d never seen them before.
  15. the tao bums map

^ had to like as I definitely agree, they keep pushing their rubbish about "illegal" immigrants It also appears that Santa is a member!
  16. Perhaps the Qi Qong practice has enabled them to become old? i.e you see a lot of young and middle aged people who are overweight, but I can't even recall seeing an overweight old person.
  17. the tao bums map

IIRC the skull was just one of the icon you could pick but I just zoomed in on Aus and noticed one skull that is trying to be a curse I also didn't zoom in enough when placing my icon so it seems he is floating on a man made lake, it seems the man is an island after-all
  18. Moderation Team BS

Thanks for the link Dawei. Turned the "what now :(" impression I got from the thread title into "nothing to see here" i.e. When reading the quote in the thread it looked like an attempt at humor. I have definitely felt , and perhaps said, the same thing when I was a mod.
  19. Hoshin Fest 2008

OldChi, I haven't practiced Hoshin but Santiargo (Vajrasattva) is in Miami, Florida and I've talked to a few Hoshin people through KAP and their facebook groups, might be able to find some contacts for you.
  20. I think they are named search clouds I use to ammuse myself doing wordles (a web site that creates clouds) from TTB's RSS feed eg. ThatTaoBums2010
  21. Thanks Cheya, something to go under the christmas tree
  22. If we are thinking of off site options perhaps someone could build a TTB wiki and use that as a database of knowledge along with the existing discussion forum?
  23. possible to be 'released' from a thread?

soaring crane you could edit the 1st post in the thread and change the thread title (or edit to blank) but it will still show in that list.
