  1. Jedi Force Trainer

Is it available to buy yet, I've been watching this thing since Smile IIRC posted it months ago. Perfect desk toy for work Edit: oh yes $200AUD hello Xmas present
  2. Haiku Chain

like words once spoken counting on my fingers now five seven five yes
  3. Tai Chi Sword Lesson #1 by Me

I love weapons. I've got a 6' staff form, walking stick form and Sai form for kung fu. Much more fun than weights and projecting energy to the tip of the weapon is good to learn. I have also carry all of my weapons to practice on my motorbike which is an interesting look through the traffic. Sifu teaches a fan form for tai chi and Sigung teaches a sword form. I would like to learn them one day.
  4. Tai Chi Sword Lesson #1 by Me

Findley, while Daren may be to polite to notice you, I think you should apologize and refrain from personal attacks. If you want to hate, don't post. Simple. On reflection this sort of stuff is not cool. Findley is on a 2 week vacation. Darin, I like you humor and enthusiasm even if you are a tassel hater Makes me want to get a made in china sword. You seem very at home in front of the camera, it's like you are talking to a person. Cool stuff.
  5. Water Distillers

Any recommendation for one for home use?
  6. Taoist Science of Falling in Love

this isn't live chat Are you sure you can't just will yourself to resonate? You can always get what you want.... the tricky part is wanting what you need
  7. Male/female roles and relationships

I'm still struggling to think of Taoist male/female roles. Obviously I've dismissed them as yin/yang receiving/active rather than female/male To throw out a Frank B Kermit quote I struggle with the "Manly Man Stereotype", however there really does seem to need to be a polarity creating tension to give spark to relationships.
  8. Threads like these are favorites for me http://www.thetaobums.com/Why-Taoism-is-different-t5927.html also http://www.thetaobums.com/The-Get-a-Job-Ha...read-t5809.html we have a little project in the works
  9. tooth regeneration

So in the quest for whiter teeth, because I can't seem to buy any of the whiteners in this thread in Aus and I'm too slack to bother making my own I'm using Listerine whitening pre-rinse to see how that goes. Alcohol, Hydrogen Peroxide, Sodium Phosphate, Poloxamer 407, Sodium Laural Sulfate, Sodium Citrate, Flavours, Sodium Saccharin, Sucralose. Listerine mouthwashes have not been having much fun recently due to the Australian Dental Journal concluded that there is now sufficient evidence to accept the proposition that developing oral cancer is increased or contributed to by the use of alcohol-containing mouthwashes. The Listerine wiki article is quite an interesting read.
  10. Running into walls again....ARGH!

My thinking behind the Wiki quote was basically to define where blood feuds end up. Why I though of blood feud. Recently I saw a doco that said blood feuds were stopped by still allowing people to retaliate, but they had to wait 7 days. But since I can actually ban people, yet had no need or intention of doing so I though adding that part into the post was not a good way to go so I took it out before posting. So yes totally serious about no idea. Your thinking about my thinking and motivations is your own My objective, not a refs penality but more of a mention to the players that they are being looked at, has been achieved and there is really nothing more that I need to do here re: double post the board seemed to freeze up for a bit. Lots of WWW glitches for me today
  11. Running into walls again....ARGH!

No. No idea of where the terrorism jump came from. My thinking was more "But Mum, Billy started it !!!!" Nobody is being too offensive or abusive, no need to apologise but it was nice of you to do so Tao99. Everyones intentions are good and that is what makes it hard as debate can fluctuate in the other direction and chip away at the line in various threads over time. Argument against a person just stirs stuff up and makes any discussion difficult. eg. I could have worded my very 1st two sentence very differently and stirred up all sorts of stuff. It was a pretty big jump, you could have gone full out Godwin's but it was a pretty good try
  12. Link is no longer working and I can't recall the details of the book edit: it's back now, glitch in the matrix or patriarchal plot to subvert womens power Exploring The Hidden Power Of Female Sexuality: A Workbook For Women (Paperback - Jul 2001) by Maitreyi D. Piontek (Author)
  13. A begginers book to tao anyone?

I started off reading anything related to sex (1st interest) then martial arts/chi gungs , and it just grew from there. It's sort of tricky to get into Taoism as it's very broad. I often wish books like scholar warrior and the barefoot doctors stuff was around when I started. Osho is a favorite of mine too.
  14. Journey to the West

Cool cliff notes. There are a few abridged J@W around the place. So I think I left Monkey somewhere in chapter 6 battling portable gaming technology in the form of a PSP with the power of a recently quicken net connection... or something like that
  15. Microcosmic Orbit

    Like these? _X_ul0EmIdM
  16. Running into walls again....ARGH!

Nice quotes. Now I just need a David Attenborough voice and a sentence along the lines of "Behold the passion and beauty of a TTB thread in all it's spectramatic bewonderment"
  17. All good stuff, there are just so many variables and different methods. examples Sifu tells us it will take 6 months of chi gongs to feel "something" Those sexual rules do not apply in KAP People misunderstand rules i.e. "Avoid Facing the Wind when Sweating. Don't practice in the wind" Forgeting to add the qualification of "cold" And contradictory rules. Don't practice Tai Chi barefoot on wet grass vs practice barefoot in the early morning to absorb the dew with the feet. Could the vast number of rules could actually outnumber the thousands of chi gung forms
  18. Running into walls again....ARGH!

Might have been, might be in the future, but there is no obligation to read an entire thread as the concept is very simple. Keep posts civil and play nice. Bewonderment indeed but we haven encountered Godwin's Law yet, which is actually sort of surprising.
