Martial Arts Qigong as I've been practicing them consistantly. I just dabble in the other flavours.

Thanks Max, good to keep in mind and on reflection yes there always seems to have been an invitation. TTB's a target rich environment vs reality or why are all the good targets already taken

Granted you have not wished for anything for at least a week. I wish hitting garden gnomes with a cricket bat was a sport.

Intellectually you read that this was good. And for a while it feels good. Good sign. But then you have too much energy and want to explode. You try to fight these feelings and it gets worst. So you go with how you feel, excellent. My advice. You did what was natural, cycles, not spend spend spend, or save until it's stale, overripe, spoiled. Don't worry so much about what you read. Tune in more to your feelings. Trunks site has a lot of good info about retention. http://www.alchemicaltaoism.com/ Alternatively if you want longer retention, you should learn to do something with that excess energy. Change it so it won't spoil, or explode. Your chi gungs, may be doing that and you just need more time to progress, or you may need newer exercises / methods. You could be going backwards and need something totally different. That's why you will get a lot of advice

What are your goals for your practice in this lifetime?
Mal replied to Michael Roland's topic in General Discussion
Love, health and happiness and the ability to share the above with others. -
while I like a good quality wine, I often think I'd like to get some nice freshly squeezed grape juice before it got fermented.

Benefits of Tobacco thread with links Why not That's like asking why do teetotallers always sound annoyingly superior? Can we get back to drinking now? =

Granted, you continually think of something to wish for, but you just never seem to get a chance to actually wish it I wish I knew if I should get a PSP or a PS3

Granted, but weekends are no longer considered days off and no longer attract penalty rates. People protest and the world government decides to decimalise time. 10 day weeks with 10 week months and 10 month years. 10 hours AM 10 hours PM. You work 10 hours a day and have 10 hours off. People talking about "the good old days when there were weekends" are consider crazy old fools by the next generation. I wish we were like the culture, no money needed, no working needed, machines of varying intelligence doing everything we need. People are free to do whatever they like, living for at least 300+ years.years.

Let's find out. To make it rather inclusive lets define meditation however you chose. Siting or standing, moving or stillness. I am also including energy work (because that's what I do ) There are plenty of methods out there and we chose the ones that resonate with us for reasons that are valid to us. I also split it for daily practice and a regular practice schedule. Personally I wanted a daily practice, it took me 8 months to stop being lazy and missing days but once it was up and running it's pretty easy to maintain. However if you beleive you only need to practice once a week or whatever and do that regularly I want those answers in the poll too.

So I noticed the colour Kunlun book on lulu is now $39.95. I remember Chris saying they were not making any money on the colour one and had priced it too low expecting most people to go for the black and white version. I'd like to save money but I like the field of sunflowers in colour (I note the David Verdesi thread is back, what other cool old topics can we debate)

Does daily Chi Kung practice reduce the need for physical exercise?
Mal replied to Encephalon's topic in General Discussion
Put your rats to the maze! i.e give some a chi kung routine, get others to spend the same length of time on a stretching routine and see if you can notice any differences in training effects. -
An excellent book I really like it quite a lot

Does daily Chi Kung practice reduce the need for physical exercise?
Mal replied to Encephalon's topic in General Discussion
Over training? I played squash 5 nights a week for a few years at Uni. Months after I stopped one night I realized that my ankles were no longer in constant pain. I was so use to the pain that it had become an ignored background feeling that was just always there. Chi kungs definitely help reduce fatigue and improve recovery from exercise IMHO Pretty sure mine has already booked my passage and the straight jacket. -
women must learn to redirect their orgams too

Cotton futon with foam core. Not sure what they are like now but at 130 kg springs couldn't handle me. These days as 110 the ones in motels don't cripple me too badly but the futon is much better for me. I didn't roll the previous 6" 100% cotton one as much as I should have although it lasted quite a while. I couldn't really afford or even find IIRC an 8" 100% cotton so I went with the foam core. It has been good. Bed is jarrah slats so that sleeping on a plank of wood Futon beds are lower than normal beds which is very useful

Need your input for interview with multi-orgasmic man
Mal replied to sean's topic in General Discussion
I'm guessing no luck with the interview yet -
I recently picked up Handbook For Heroes. Quite a good little book, I do enjoy his writing style and collection of techniques.

Weird I actually brought someone 1/2 a goat as a birthday present from there. It's a great idea but personally I like http://www.hollows.org.au/ But I still need to replace my book too re: stopping other practices I think IIRC it was o.k. to do things that didn't consciously direct energy. Personally I did Tai Chi and Kung Fu while I practicing Kunlun for a year.

Totally agree, although since this was a perfect opportunity to have a go at topic splitting I snapped this one. Won't be doing it often as it took a bit of effort to select 30 posts over 3 pages. However it is a very good discussion that doesn't deserve to be buried in the Verdesi thread. It is very easy to merge it back together (t6000) if anyone is annoyed by this split.
