I'm thinking about creating a nei gong forum, but first I need to anyone would be interested in participating. If you're wondering why I'm thinking of doing this it's because, for the most part, the only reason I'm on TTB in the first place is to follow nei gong/mo pai related threads and sort of keep an eye on what's going on. However, as it turns out, I think it's quite obvious that TTBs is a good place for these threads. It is my opinion that there needs to be a separate forum for Mo Pai/nei gong related topics. Anyone agree with this? Who all would be interested in participating in a nei kung forum?

I always thought the genius IQ level was 140+. If it's 130 then my grandfather was a genius. He scored 137 on an IQ test given to him in the military. My great grandfather (the father of the grandfather mentioned above) had a 6th grade education but he could do amazing things. He could solve complicated architectural issues that seemed impossible to figure out. He could take a tractor and its engine completely apart, fix the issue, and put all the hundreds of pieces back together by memory. He could just figure stuff out amazingly well. He was uneducated but he was still a genius IMO.

The training information for level 3 is not public knowledge. Levels 1 & 2a are all we have. But don't worry because that's plenty enough to last you several years at least. Most people never make it that far in a lifetime. And give it up for what exactly? No, ParisTheo is on the right track.

I am open to both possibilities as well. But a claim should still be considered false until proven otherwise. But what sucks is that Tom Bombadil wasn't even in the movie.

False until proven otherwise. That's the best motto to live by. Everything should have a default status of "unproven". It should only be considered proven once it has enough evidence in its support. This is exactly right.

Exactly. "Up" came from a primitive culture that believed in a god that lived in the clouds. I'm not sure what Kosta was talking about. He could just be adding his own beliefs into the mix. It's hard to tell. I'm sticking with what I know.

This seems to me like an escape. Pardon me if I'm wrong. Whatever Kosta talked about in his book regarding the spirit of Chang's master is not something we can comprehend. We honestly have no clue what Chang is talking about. "Going up to god"? What does that even mean? We have no idea. Best to keep it down to Earth and deal with what we know.

I don't really think they are. Some people might be born with the natural ability to quite their minds which is good for meditation, but I don't believe people are born with developed dan tiens.

Right on. Which would be an average human being with no energetic development. I think Buddhists are referring more to the mind and mental spirituality rather than physical, energetic development.

But we aren't born diamonds that simply need the dust cleared away. Your have to create the diamond through hard work and training.

Well I guess it depends on what we mean by "spiritual". In my thinking there are two aspects; mental spirituality and physical spirituality. Mental spirituality is tied into philosophy and psychological well-being. Physical spirituality has to do with the energetic development and growth of the spirit. What is the "spirit"? From a scientific standpoint I have no f*cking clue. All I know is that it is some sort of energetic aspect of the body that can be thickened and developed. If you have enough of this energy then you can project it into your external environment which gives rise to abilities like what Chang demonstrates.

Let's just assume that John Chang is not a fraud for a second. f someone can burn paper with their bare hand, what does that mean?
