Find a tutor. Masturbation and energy training do not work together. Masturbation is a sign of immaturity and a form of hiddenness. Mix immaturity and energetic training, can bring permanent damage, such as brain tumors. Stop doing what you're doing Ask yourself: What is most important in your life? In light, Dr. D

I said it many times and I'm not going to get tired of repeating. The practice of these energetic and spiritual must be supervised by a teacher. One can not learn from a book alone. Unfortunately I see many people in my practice who hurt themselves by the lack of knowledge of the practices or bad coaching. My recommendation to you is to find a qualified practitioner with this special training. Good luck in your journey. In light,

The are many versions of the healing sounds. Healing sounds are very powerful, training them the right way brings great benefits but if you practice the wrong way it can cause tremendous damage and in some cases irreversible. Unfortunately I see many people in my practice who hurt themselves by the lack of knowledge of the practices or bad coaching. My recommendation to you is to find a qualified practitioner with this special training. Good luck in your journey. In light,

Diet goes according with what you are trying to accomplish in your training. Traditional training is to eat with in a period of 6 to 8 hours and have a break betwwen 18 to 16 hours. This makes the GI tract clean and helps with the vibration in the body. Also, with certain trainings, it is best to not eat meat until you achieve the desired results and move to the next training.

Book are good, but not enough. The best way is to find a teacher that is knowledgeable and aware to be able to modified the training accordingly to your needs. Find a good teacher can be challenge road, and enlightening at the same time.

At the beginning, it is best to start simple and build a relationship with the altar. Over time you can put the altar "anywhere in your house". Because over time your connexion with the altar is fortified and the basement is not going to be a just a basement is going to be a sacred place.
-
You can have in the Bedroom when is not in used cover it with a black cloth. Best direction is East or Southeast. Do not put it in the basement.

The goal is to embody the stone vibration and energetic qualities, so we do not become dependent of the stone. Is like learning to ride a bicycle, at the beginning you use training wheels but after a while you do not need it any more.

Does breathing play a significant role in your practice....?
Dr_D replied to ChiDragon's topic in Daoist Discussion
When we are talking about breathing, it is not just the physical mechanical breathing. We have 3 breaths: Physical breathing (Jing), Energetic Breathing (Qi) and Spiritual Breathing (Shen). They are different. It is important for them to be trained in that order. After a couple of years of consistent daily training of the physical breath, eventually you will start breathing through the meridians and after a few years of that you will be breathing with your spirit. Most people want to start with the most advanced training. This is not wise and can lead to them hurting themselves. The foundational pieces are most important and in any training, you get as much as you put in. -

Before focusing in the breathing you need to focus in the posture. Is a simple progression: Posture Breath Energy -
We perform rituals all the time. We may not call it that, but we all have are own specific rituals that we do throughout our day. We bring the value to any ritual in our lives, whether it is our morning routine or an elaborate Daoist ceremony. No matter how big or small, how elaborated, or how simple, the most important thing is for us to be aligned with the Dao. Any activity can be an opportunity to dedicate ourselves to deeper work and benefiting others. Eventually, when you deepen your understanding in Daoism and choose Daoism as your main road to the Divine, you will learn specific rituals. Like any Wudang system, in the beginning, things are "complicated" then they become simpler only to get complicated again and so on. Dr.D

Some things to consider: How long have you beeing constipated? Are you drinking a least 8 to 14 cup of water a day? Did you remove toxic heat from your diet? (Alcohol, cigarretes, chocolate, spicy food, read meat, fowl, and for some constitutions, sugar) Check your posture (better to find someone that can do it for you) Check your breathing (better to find someone that can do it for you) Check your energy (better to find someone that can do it for you) Hope this help. Let me know if I can support you in any way. Dr. D

Most of the Ye Ming Zhu out there are man made and don't have the energetic property you may be looking for, they are basically just the cool factor. The real Ye Ming Zhu are a extremely rare and valuable. Only royalty were allow to own it. We bought many different ones, played with them, examined them and did extensive research. We came to the conclusion that you really do get what you pay for in the case of Ye Ming Zhu. A very small sphere can run for a couple thousand dollars. If you have that kind money to spend in something that may just be a cool toy, go for it. About the topic of this conversation… Talisman is one of the most powerful tools in a Daoist toolbox, but like any other tool, it takes time and effort to embody the practice. To fully succeed in this practice one needs a teacher who can walk you through it. Dr. D
