I don't believe the founders of daoism intended meditation...
SonOfTheGods replied to TheExaltedRonin's topic in General Discussion
Words start to take on different meanings here: Meditation Power Enlightment Tan Tien Kundalini Magick Since the internet grew more popular, so did a lot of terminology. Many things should have stayed "occult"- that is- Hidden. Too mainstream- many things got mis-catergorized and went into the New Age box. Some of the posts I read on this forum seem very confusing and new agey. When someone is meditating- your brain should slow from Beta to Alpha waves. Alpha = Gnosis Some go lower to Theta. I don't want to see anyone driving during "a daydream state"- though most do When I am meditating- my mind is almost at zero point (almost, not quite) My breathing and pulse appear non existant. Once I am finished, the slightest movement causes my bones to pop- as if I have been in suspended animation. When I meditate- I AM GONE. This is MY OPINION. -

Frozen- I once strained all the muscles, ligaments etc, in my throat and jaw from trying to talk/yell/scream lol as a child. Best thing to do is either go with it- explore etc or remain calm and move your finger toe etc Welcome to the Immortals -you have viewed what life after death entails with your vehicle - though even here- some people may tell you that you're hyper delusional -

If you examine the spine, with all the nerves, etc weaving in and out- it's a Fabric of chakras- maybe millions. Thus- ONE Unified Chakra samething with "the third eye"= all in Unison.. - with clairaudience- do we get a "third ear" or telepathy a "2nd mouth"..? ONE Unified Field. Energy Swirls- SPIRALS- thus Chakra= Wheel- spinning etc All many tools inside One ToolBox ---------- The numbering of chakras came from the ancients as they discovered the 7 planets. also taking into account -the sound/music scale, light colour/spectrum- etc Beware the NewAgey mumbojumbo$ -

I found out about this link from a search on OBE, which I under went, 2 nights ago. I was cultivating- and bone breathing. I was in Gamasae for 10 minutes, and thought only a couple of minutes had passed by. I felt very light, and floating from my crown point. Then, I went into full lotus and my whole body was vibrating so hard, and the frequencies so intense, I had to lay down to keep it going. After awhile of this, my perineum got too hot, so I sought to lower the vibrations. I started to fall asleep and suddenly found myself floating over my body, but I was fully aware, and locked into a cataleptic state. Frozen solid. I relaxed, and moved my thumb, which brought me down to my body. It happened again, and my body pivoted at a 45 degree angle from my feet. I could actually hear myself snoring. Again I broke the state by moving my toes a little bit. Again it happened, this time my body twirled and I got stuck up close to ceiling fan. I could still hear myself breathing, and thought how bright the dark temple room looked. I finally got back "in" my body and just sat up this time to finally break this repetitive cycle. I confirmed/realized this is the body- which I am cultivating- is the same body, that is the vehicle to remaining Immortal with, after death. I always knew it from my occult studies, but this was the linking proof between cultivation, and my own metaphysical studies. -

Someone will say "Dailymail is Fake!" lol so here is another link: http://www.popsci.com/article/science/woman-who-can-will-herself-out-her-body POPULAR SCIENCE: After a class on out-of-body experiences, a psychology graduate student at the University of Ottawa came forward to researchers to say that she could have these voluntarily, usually before sleep. "She appeared surprised that not everyone could experience this," wrote the scientists in a study describing the case, published in February in Frontiers in Human Neuroscience. Pretty crazy, right? One would think that if you could leave your own body and float above it, you'd be a little more... vocal about it. But since it was a common experience for her--one she "began performing as a child when bored with 'sleep time' at preschool... moving above her body" instead of napping--it may have appeared unremarkable. This is way more interesting than what I did, which was indeed napping. The most exciting thing about this case, to me, is "the possibility that this phenomenon may have a significant incidence but [is] unreported because people do not think this is exceptional," as the authors wrote. "Alternatively," they continued, "the ability might be present in infancy but is lost without regular practice. This would be reminiscent of the discovery and eventual study of synesthesia that some researchers now hypothesized is more prevalent in young people or can be developed." "She was able to see herself rotating in the air above her body" Those are fascinating suggestions--both that these out-of-body experiences may be more common than previously thought, or could be learned during a critical window early in life. But back to the case study. The 24-year-old "continued to perform this experience as she grew up assuming, as mentioned, that 'everyone could do it.'" This is how she described her out-of-body experiences: "She was able to see herself rotating in the air above her body, lying flat, and rolling along with the horizontal plane. She reported sometimes watching herself move from above but remained aware of her unmoving “real” body. The participant reported no particular emotions linked to the experience." An unusual find, wrote the scientists, University of Ottawa researchers Andra M. Smith and Claude Messier--this is the first person to be studied able to have this type of experience on demand, and without any brain abnormalities. Instead of an "out-of-body" experience, however, the researchers termed it a "extra-corporeal experience" (ECE), in part because it lacks the strong emotions that often go hand-in-hand (such as shock & awe, for example). To better understand what was going on, the researchers conducted a functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) study of her brain. They found that it surprisingly involved a "strong deactivation of the visual cortex." Instead, the experience "activated the left side of several areas associated with kinesthetic imagery," such as mental representations of bodily movement. Her experience, the scientists wrote, "really was a novel one." But just maybe, not as novel as previously thought. If you are capable of floating out of your body, don't keep it to yourself! -
FBI declassifies files showing Hitler did not die in Germany

There's a discussion about it on Reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/conspiracy/comments/1ztjzu/fbi_declassifies_files_showing_hitler_did_not_die/ I was going to go into "Operation Paper Clip" but why bother lol. There's other interesting threads about this, on a few more forums I was following. The theme seems to be some people just want Hitler dead in the bunker- so there is never enough proof. I seen a video awhile ago, from Russia, that discussed the remains of Hitler's skull- doing DNA on it showed it wasn't Hitler's. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=FBI+declassifies+files+showing+Hitler+did+not+die+in+Germany Personally- I could care less. He's dead. -

What Are "Legitimate" Qi Abilities/Power?

Ram Bomjon, Buddha Boy Gone Wild! Ram Bomjon thinks pretty highly of himself, and his followers think even more highly of him. They say that he’s another Buddha, “such an incarnation as only occurs once in thousands of years.” The Nepalese 20-something was known as the Buddha Boy a few years ago when, as a teenager, he sat down at the base of a pipal tree, in imitation of Siddhartha Gautama, and tried to meditate for a really, really long time. Ram Bomjon’s devotees said that he had not taken food or water, or even moved, for months. Police and scientists pointed out that Bomjon’s friends had not allowed anyone to get any closer than 15 feet to inspect the meditating boy, and that every night, Ram Bomjon was concealed behind a blind and all outsiders were made to leave the area. Nepalese police were about to force a strict investigation to see whether Ram Bomjon was committing fraud, when suddenly, Bomjon declared that his spiritual journey must lead him to wander the forest for a while. Ram Bomjon later set up camp elsewhere, and has established a successful Buddhist center of worship, where he is the “blessed Guru”, the center of devotion, teaching wisdom and peace… and doing a few other things, it turns out. It’s claimed that prolonged meditation leads a person to become calm, controlled, and less prone to angry outbursts. The devotional literature dedicated to Ram Bomjon states that Bomjon was born with a peaceful temperament, and that even during childhood, “Guru refused to fight, and was always calm”. If Bomjon was a peaceful boy, all that meditation seems to have changed him. According to the Himalayan Times, Ram Bomjon’s followers held two women captive for two months, until they were rescued by police in late March. Ram Bomjon did nothing to help the women, one of whom was suffering from at least one broken bone during her captivity. There are allegations that one of the women was sexually assaulted while she was a prisoner. The women were kept as prisoners because Ram Bomjon’s supporters accused them of practicing witchcraft in order to magically disrupt Ram Bomjon’s serene meditation. While the women were kept prisoner, Ram Bomjon’s supporters physically attacked five journalists who were attempting to film one of Bomjon’s speeches. When Ram Bomjon’s family discovered that Bomjon’s camp was kidnapping and violently attacking people, his mother, Mayadevi, expressed her profound disappointment and sent two of Bomjon’s brothers off to talk some sense into him. It didn’t work. Upon hearing their pleas to bring his violent operation back into control, Ram Bomjon himself attacked his brothers, and ordered them to be held as hostages. Upon hearing of this, Ram Bomjon’s mother and sisters made the journey to Bomjon’s religious center to beg for the brothers’ release. Ram’s response was to strike one of his sisters on the head. Ram Bomjon has preached that “But the world is submerged in its own selfish aim and nobody could keep the search of soul and the super soul in their heart. Today the world is in search of non violence and guidance in the form of kindness.” Perhaps, instead of preaching from his stage of glory as a guru, Ram Bomjon would benefit by rejoining the world, seeking to embody the non-violence and kindness he asks of others, rather than seeking fame for himself.
