Biblical exgesis, in my opinion, teaches you either take the bible literal, or figuratively. There is no doubt in my mind, the authors of the bible wanted their scriptures to be taken literally. There for, this book is nothing short of murder, rape, plunder and every form of human evil under the sun, all with their god's blessing. The Abrahamic religions, taken as face value, has done nothing but cause more problems on this planet than any single good it has ever done. These Abrahamic religions, which all share the same diety/demi-urge, will be the catalyst for human genocide arising from World War 3. It's a virus, a cancer, and a plague- a bad energy thoughform that has tentacles reaching into finances, government, healthcare and military. It even encompasses Western Magick. There are more christian churches than ever before, and man is at the edge of destruction. The followers eagerly await their messiah to return, while destroying the Earth and counting on his return to fix it.. The patriarchial rulership has denigrated females into nothing more than pets.. The followers can do no wrong, because all is forgiven, and have tax exempt status on top of it all. Muslim and jewish slaugterhouses, kill their animals, by cutting the throat and bleeding them - they are being sacrificed all day long to energy empower their blood lustful demi-urge. Bardon had some good ideas, the volt, condenser, etc. But he was too much into the white vs black lodge/magic trip. Too christian for my likes. Besides, he tried to build this whole facade about himself, with superman powers. His evocation books has a lot of his personal channelings for the sigils, which appeared null for me and others. His qabala book is incomplete and ridiculous, IMO.

True about the Simonomicon. The Necronomicon of Joshua Free is also along these lines as is Warlock Asylum's Atlantean version (really a way to understand the Simon text). Nevertheless, one of the cool things about having so many Necronomicons (I own 12 and I think there are several others in print--not including the "Necronomicon" that develops in a magician's mind after she immerses herself in the literature over a long period of time) is that they can all be synthesized. The Babalyonian deities are celestial and work through gates that have also been associated with the wholly Lovecraftian entities. There is a point at which it all comes together into a meta-system. Because of the phenomena that the author says occurs when using these rituals and the authenticity of the author I tried a ritual. I saw flashes of white light about five feet in height and two feet in width in two different corners of my living room (interesting that it was in corners as well). I also saw an orb golden light floating above my coffe table and then an orb of blue light floating to the left of my head. I also experienced the tickling in my forehead whilst doing the rituals, and this is the only time I have ever experienced tickling here with regards to any spiritual practice. The phenomena above is exactly as described by the author as possibly happening when working with this book. Someone said that this is just egregoric related phenomena but I disaggree as those large flashes of white light were too powerful to be egregoric in nature for a bunch of fictional beings. What I tuned into I have no idea but the phenomena was very interesting to experience. It is interesting that this thread should appear now, as it was only last week that I was discussing the reality of the Old Ones with rhett (another member of this forum) during his recent trip to Australia. He asked me if I believed that the OO had an actual existence, to which I replied in the affirmative. People seem to forget that Lovecraft received most (if not all) of his information about the OO in his dreams. Is there anyone on this board who does not agree with the fact that the simplest way for ultraterrestrial beings to communicate with us is through our dreams? Lovecraft was not prone to fantasy, he was a very level headed individual. His main interests were science and astronomy (the latter of which he wrote a column for his local paper), he was the last person you would suspect of having fantastic dreams - yet he did, and those dreams were a form of communication between him and the OO. And why would they want the world to know of their existence, to lure man into calling them and believing in them to give them strength and influence. This is how I see things, my own perspective: This planet, is a school. The curriculum is not supposed to be changed, rather, we are to learn by it. It is like if we do not like Algebra in school, we want the school to change it to something more of our own liking. The Earth, in this age, is supposed to suck so badly, that higher souls are repulsed by it, to make sure you no longer have any more anchors to it, in your next incarnation.

Last one I will post: I knew a man who was a 4th generation veal guy. One of the last people to be in NYs meatpacking industry he explained to me why I should never eat veal (and I dont) The "european way" of veal was to cage baby calfs with a chain around their neck so they dont move even an inch. Now the American way which was legally implemented is to have about 12 baby cows in a pen 10x10. This way they have a little movement and its considered more "humane" Well NY restaurants consider white veal to be the industry standard. Meaning the whiter the meat the better it tastes (it doesnt actually taste any different its an old italian myth) so in order to get white meat what does that mean? You have the bleed out the animal In order to bleed out the animal while its alive they pump the calfs with chemicals to make them anemic. But because they are anemic and living in spaces where there are 12 to a pen, they constantly get sick. So in order to keep them alive the have to pump them FULL of antibiotics just so they are barely alive before they are slaughtered. This guy looked me dead in the face and said "dont EVER eat veal" and he owns a business in veal. Guess he didnt expect me to be a redditor...

At least once a week the refinery would call and ask if we had room where they could dump a tanker of gas, because they ran out of storage space. If I remember correctly It went into effect on 1/1/74. Existing gasoline outlets were to be allocated only the amount of gasoline which they sold in the same time period the previous year. New gas outlets were allocated an average of the surrounding stations. Early in the summer of 1973, our source refinery (on the East end of Superior, Wisconsin) completed an efficiency upgrade. To keep it running in the most efficient mode possible resulted in more product than they were able to sell openly. My boss was to afraid of getting caught breaking the rules. What other stations did I do not know, but the shutting down and restarting of the refinery contributed to higher wholesale prices compared to what the price could have been if the refinery had run continuously, so the owners tried every avenue to try keep it running 24/7.

allosaur 804 points 1 dayago * Large chain bookstores: so so so many perfectly good books get thrown out... Mass market paperbacks are cheap to manufacture and get shipped out in huge volumes. For some publishers (particularly ones that put out new mysteries or romances quarterly) when the bookstore wants it off the shelf to make room for something new, it's just not worth the cost of taking them back and finding someone else to sell it. But they don't want anyone getting them for free. So as a bookstore employee I spent hours ripping the front and back covers off of books, then tearing the book at least in half so that no one could read it later. The covers get sent back to the publishers, and the books that could have been donated to a library or school get put in a locked recycling container out back. A manager had to come back and check my work to make sure the books were not left intact. I almost cried the first time I had to rip up a load of kid's books (in a city with high child poverty rates and underfunded schools).
