Religious fundamentalism and cruelty to children may one day be treated in the same way as mental illness, a neuroscientist has speculated. Kathleen Taylor, a research scientist at Oxford University’s Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics, says strong negative beliefs could be eradicated using techniques already in the works. Dr Taylor was speaking at the Hay Literary Festival in Wales when she was asked what she forsaw as positive developments in neuroscience in the coming years, The Times reports. She replied: “One man’s positive can be another man’s negative. One of the surprises may be to see people with certain beliefs as people who can be treated. “Someone who has for example become radicalised to a cult ideology – we might stop seeing that as a personal choice that they have chosen as a result of pure free will and may start treating it as some kind of mental disturbance. “In many ways it could be a very positive thing because there are no doubt beliefs in our society that do a heck of a lot of damage. http://refreshingnews99.blogspot.in/2013/05/leading-neuroscientist-religious.html “These beliefs are very harmful but are not normally categorised as mental illness.” In a previous blog for the Huffington Post, Dr Taylor wrote of the “astonishing” advances in neuroscience and how it offers hope for some of the most feared diseases, including Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.

Here's a technique most do not know about. Create a grid with the cards, like a future construct, of what you want to manifest. Lay the cards out on an altar, in a way that tells a story. Example: The fool, takes a journey, and during this vision quest, he/she is greeted by the appropriate guides in whatever form the universe chooses. Conclusion, the fool encounters the material (money, house, job, love) and whatever is lacking in life. Use the corresponding cards that represent each according to YOUR interpretation. Leave the cards out where you can see them daily, subtracting the ones after achieving your goal. This is similiar to candle magick.

Using the 4 Aces to draw a circle is always more convenient than carrying around a bag of tools, if you lean that way.

Looking for some legit advice on Kundalini and cultivation
SonOfTheGods replied to Kundanoobalini's topic in General Discussion
No you do not. This thread is about that By the time a person with active kundalini finds a legitimate teacher, they will be financially broken. Kundalini scammers and charlatans are running amok everywhere. Kundalini has become just another religion, and mass marketing predators are taking advantage of this. Watch the documentary "Kumare" -
That is what the Egyptian God Set/Sutekh represented.

The problem here is, define "enlightenment". What is the enlightenment standard? From what culture, nation, race, species, are we using this standard for definition? -

Back then, there were no pocket sized cell phones, internet and owning a computer was not common like today, and internet cafes were very rare. Video games were still in the low margin. Children were outside playing physical football, and not playing it on video games.. It was very easy to get distracted by actual physical hobbies that had nothing to do with computer access. Not pulling up TaoBums on your cell while fishing, makes it easier to disassociate with. -

What you wrote here^, is exactly what I am talking about If someone has to question "was that a REALL kundalini experience?", makes it unlikely, it reallly was. When the Internet first came out, and they had those old BBS boards, I had a magick forum. Then E-Groups came out, since long defunct. We started out as Magick, then leaned towards Taoism. Then a subforum came out about Chi and Kundalini, PSI, etc A Poll was offered and about 150 people answered.. Long story short, when we went into DEEP detail, about 2 or 3 people actually had Kundalini, out of 150+ people. One of the questions was, if you stop meditating and thinking about the energy, over a long period, more than a month, does the symptoms go away? Such as, if you go on vacation with family ansd friends, and no one talks about meditation, etc, and the interest is lost, and replaced with recreation that is mundane, what happens?. This was only one of many questions. If a person stops thinking about it, surrounds themself with non-likeminded people, and forgets about kundalini, most of the time, it will subside. Compare this to stopping Qi Gong for a couple of months, and you will find diminished chi flow. However, you will NOT STOP A TRUE KUNDALINI AWAKENING. Some poeple, though, would rather fool themself. Pranotthana is what most people erroneously call kundalini. Someone gets shaktipat, reiki, or smokes some DMT, etc.. then feel some energy move, and think they now have a legitimate kundalini experence, which they do not. They surf the internet matching their symptoms and fall prey to the P.T.Barnum truth: http://thetaobums.com/topic/30832-sufi-pt-barnum-said-it-best/ Despite what the internet says, LEGITIMATE Kundalini is quite rare. The internet sites would have you believe that everyone and their neighbor is now poppping off with kundalini. There would be a lot of enlightened people around you. Take a look around you next time you are at Walmart or the Mall, then rethink this. Read the news, humanity is at their worse behavior. A REAL kundalini awakening will happen when it is the proper time for awakening. Forcing it, and getting ahead too fast, is what causes problems. Nature and evolution has it's own safety mechanism. if you bypass it and push, then problems come about. Fear is a good salesman, and it worked well in all world rleigions. Requiring a mediator so that you are safe, is not necessary. I had a Kundalini awakening several decades ago, and it all worked out fine, without gurus, swamis, and I saved a lot of money too. If you have problems, ask them here, for free. There are many people here who will help you for free. I, being one of them.
