  1. Multi-Orgasmic Man - Am I Doin' It Right?

Dear MarioK, From that book, you will only get one thing: You will give harm to your kidneys
  2. Religion

From the link you provided, (http://www.sikhiwiki.org/index.php/Sufism) There is only one sentence: "Some Sufis have also claimed that Sufism pre-dates Islam and some groups operate with only very tenuous links to Islam." This is just a claim. Full stop! The link you provided is a Sikh religion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sikhism) link, not an Islamic link. But the information given there is quite good. Again, I am asking the same questions: "Could you please name a Sufi branch that had existed before Islam?" "Could you give the name of a Sufi master who had lived before Islam?" If you read the link you provided, you will see that all the person and branches mentioned there have dates centuries after Islam.

I heard this theory before. I am just asking a simple question to owners of this theory "Could you please just give the name of a Sufi branch that had existed before Islam? Just one for God's sake?" Also, "Could you please name one Sufi master who lived before Islam? His name please?" I never heard answers to these questions.

Dear Sir, Such an intellectual reply is very very seldom here. Thank you. First, I am NOT a Christian. I am a Muslim. Second, I disagree with your synthesis. I am aware of this synthesis. A quite strong one, I have to admit. I am living in Turkey on the land of Anatolia. I also know this Apollonius. I also agree that mythology is blended is today's Christianity. Although I show respect to St. Paul, I also think that he is primarily responsible of changing God's religion as it was told by Jesus Christ. In Islam, we believe that Jesus Christ is a Prophet. Between Jesus Christ and Mohammad, there were no other Prophet. Jesus Christ told exactly the same thing as Mohammad told: There is only one God. These truths will be understood better by the Christendom in the following 10-15 years. Currently, if Jesus Christ comes to world with a physical body and talks to Pope or the Archbishop of any church, Orthodox, Protestant, any one, does not matter, poor Jesus Christ can not convince them that the current Christianity has nothing to do with his teachings.
  5. Religion

Yes Sir, I think they are referring to famous Saint Issa of Kashmir. Some people believe that it was Jesus Christ. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_years_of_Jesus) If you refer to an interview of Mr. Refik Algan, a well known contemporary Sufi, also has books in Amazon. I hope you will enjoy the interview: http://sufism.org/lineage/sufism/writings-on-sufism/the-gnosis-interview-with-refik-algan-2 Kinney: But at the same time, in discussions with you, it’s sounded as if you yourself would not limit Sufism to Islam. Algan: But I wouldn’t call it Sufism.

No offense intended from my side too. However, my position is very clear too. Sufism can not be defined outside of Islam. Rumi was Sufi but Muslim too. He prayed five times too. No Muslim or No Sufi can venerate Octavia. If they are, they can not be called as Sufi. They should be called something else but not Sufi. For Muslims/Sufis, Mohammad is the last Prophet.
  7. Religion

Dear Sir, It is definitely a negative society. http://en.wikipedia....Panacea_Society The Panacea Society is a religious group based in Bedford, England. The Society was founded by Mabel Barltrop in 1919 at 12 Albany Road, Bedford. Its inspiration was and is the teachings of the Devonshire prophetess Joanna Southcott (1750 - 1814). Barltrop took the name Octavia and believed herself to be Southcott's child, the Shiloh of her prophecies. With 12 apostles the Society (then called the Community of the Holy Ghost) began. A woman can not be a prophet because she can not be able to pray God 7 days a week, 365 days a year due to monthly menstruation. In Islam, woman are free from their prayer obligation during certain times of the month, they do not have to pray five times a day. Adam was the first Prophet, Mohammad was the last Prophet. I explained the situation from the perspective of Islam and/or Abrahamic religions. I do not want to start a wave of attack against myself. Please.
  8. "Spirit" - what is it?

It is spiritual guide's duty mainly to protect you against the negatives. If necessary, your spiritual guide can call for help. But there is one important point: If you are calling the negative with your actions (with or without being aware of), with your free will, there is nothing the Divine Realm can do, because free will of human is the decision maker.
  9. "Spirit" - what is it?

Another example, sometimes mediums see some bodiless beings in their homes, especially in the bedrooms. These are all negative Spirits or negative Jinns (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jinn). Positive Spirits or Angels never do that. They are ultimately respective to one's private life. They obey Adab.
  10. Religion

Definitely, Jesus Christ was a Prophet. He was descendant of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David, Solomon. He was born without a father as God's miracle. A very misunderstood concept also in Islam. The planet earth was not created in six days. The planet did exist for billions of years ago. Earth is a place for many human races. The last human race before our Adam&Eve was legendary Atlantis. They had a higher level of technology than our modern technology but they could not pass their test. They were destroyed with their day of resurrection. After this day of resurrection of Atlantis, the Earth was like today's Mars. A tiny atmosphere, no living thing, no water for 50.000 - 100.000 years. In six days, the modern atmosphere, seas, rivers, plants and animals had been created. And after some time Adam&Eve appeared on Earth unfortunately after eating forbidden fruit. The forbidden fruit is a important issue. It should be discussed separately. In Mosques of Islam, there is no chair. I was in Bucharest between 2002-2004 for business, I know a little bit about Romania and Orthodox Church. My Romanian friend, may I call you as Bogdan? In engineering, there are revisions of a certain project. The last revision is the valid one. You build the building according to this last revision. It is very normal, because there is an evolution of this project. Similarly, the humanity evolved in thousands of years, and Prophet Mohammad was sent to humanity as the last Prophet and Holy Quran was given to humanity as the last revision of God's words. With Prophet Mohammad, the age of Prophets were over. Buddha was a Prophet. Lao-Tzu was a Prophet. Moses was a Prophet. Jesus Christ was a Prophet. Mohammad was a Prophet. Definitely, one has to follow the latest revision.

Hello, I am a Muslim and will try to answer from my point of view: The trinity concept is not a teaching of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ was a Prophet not son of God. There is only one God Almighty. Of course, there is also Holy Spirit also created by God. Please read the link about Barzakh and especially Ibn Arabi's definition (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barzakh) Major Scholar, Ibn 'Arabi, defines Barzakh as the intermediate realm or "isthmus". It is between the World of Corporeal Bodies and the World of Spirits, and is a means of contact between the two worlds. Without it, there would be no contact between the two and both would cease to exist. It is described as simple and luminous, like the World of Spirits, but also able to take on many different forms just like the World of Corporeal Bodies can. In broader terms Barzakh, “is anything that separates two things”. It has been described as the dream world in which the dreamer is in both life and death.[13]Barzakh can also refer to a person. Chronologically between Jesus and Mohammad is the contested Prophet Khalid. Ibn 'Arabi considers this man to be a “Barzakh” or the Perfect Human Being. Chittick explains that the Perfect Human acts as the Barzakh or "isthmus" between God and the world.[14]Ibn 'Arabi's story of Prophet Khalid is a story of Perfect Human being. Ten commandments is a must. But of course, they are not sufficient for Moral. Take ten commandments as a foundation. The building which is good Akhlaq Akhlaq is Moral. Please refer to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akhlaq http://www.mysticsai...-on-akhlaq.html Both Old and New Testaments have been changed by men. It is difficult to distinguish the original and manmade verses. This is the sole reason why one has to refer to Holy Quran, even a single letter have not been changed. I am not a Christian, but generally speaking you are right. The important point neither Orthodox nor Catholic Church represent the original teachings of Jesus Christ. Saint Peter changed the religion in a great extent. The first council of Nicaea just fixed the chnages in God's religion permanently. (http://en.wikipedia....uncil_of_Nicaea) A big pity for all Christians. No objection to this prayer, I liked it. Not so important items.
  12. "Spirit" - what is it?

I had given the two links about Adab at different threads, I repeat here: (http://www.spiritual...es.php?id=17521) (http://en.wikipedia....iki/Adab_(Islam)) Good? Archangels Gabriel&Michael for instance Bad? Satan for instance
  13. "Spirit" - what is it?

I just gave a real life example.
  14. "Spirit" - what is it?

We never laugh about beliefs. It may be wrong even Satanic according to us, but we do not laugh, it is a matter of Adab, which I am sure you never heard of. Secondly, you mentioned dualism in your previous post. If you are living in this world which is made of yin and yang, you can not escape dualism. However, good and bad are not yin and yang. Yin and Yang are wet and dry, woman and man, cold and hot, - and + poles of electricity, night and day. There is a cyclic interchange between Yin and Yang. A wet thing gets dry, dry thing gets wet, day follow night and night follow day. This is not valid for good and bad. If something is bad, it does not become good then become bad again.
  15. "Spirit" - what is it?

In the first stage, yes. But there is much more. It is the start of a way which will take you to be one with God. At the end, you reach a level, you see God in everything. Without Adab, you can not even imagine that level. Rumi and Shams are two examples of Adab. In fact, if you can speak with your own spiritual guide, and observe her/his way of selecting words, her/his kindness toward you, you will be left in tears. No joke.
  16. Seven traffic accidents in seven years? One for each chakra. It would be nice to talk to his spiritual guide. There is definitely a message for him in these accidents.
  17. "Spirit" - what is it?

Again, they are not guardian angel. It is your spiritual guide. 60-70% it is a Spirit. If it is a spirit, most of the the time it is one Spirit that really loves you from the past. May be your deceased grandmother, may be a relative from three generations before or a Spirit that has many times reincarnated with you before but this time choosing to be your guide. 30-40% it is an Angel. If it is an Angel, again it is a being that reallyyy loves you. Do not call your guide as obtuse. It is against Adab. I am not giving link for Adab google it yourself. Your guide has Adab at all times being a positive being.
  18. "Spirit" - what is it?

Dear Zerostao, The reincarnation of Angels as human beings happens that those angels have a specific mission. And when they are human, they also live and act as if they are angels. But again, this is an exceptional case, please do not make a general rule out of it.
  19. "Spirit" - what is it?

Dear Zerostao, Please refer to the post I made about spiritual guides. Do not worry, we all push our guides on this world since there is a tremendous amount of negative energy around us.
  20. "Spirit" - what is it?

Good question and it is nice to have a civil conversation with you. As far as I know, there is no such overlap. However, there have been some angels who incarnated as human beings since Adam&Eve but this is a very seldom exceptional case, it is not a general rule.
  21. "Spirit" - what is it?

I am 43. There is also ranking in angels. A more evolved angel has more distinct character Good question. We call them as Spiritual Guides not Guards. They can be either a spirit or an angel. They are referred as in Holy Quran as: (82:10) "And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers," (86:4) "There is no soul but that it has over it a protector." Your spiritual guide is helping you all the time. Munkar and Nakir is just recording your merits and sins.
  22. "Spirit" - what is it?

You mean "Dead link, man!"? The link is working man! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munkar_and_Nakir If it is not working in google write "Munkar, Nakir, Wiki" and press "Enter"
  23. "Spirit" - what is it?

Nobody is forcing you to believe. What is your point in above post? This is a open forum and in this thread angels were being discussed. There are many other threads for "Earth" persons.
  24. Religion is the poison of Spirituality

Dear Aaron, I was discussing a different topic with someone else. You quoted my sentences and started a new discussion. It is you not me drawing a sword and start swinging. I am just defending your moves and counter attack if you use fencing terminology. Everybody is right when they attack me but I am not right if I defend myself. This is a textbook definition of double standard. You are mixing Devsirme and ordinary slaves. Again, Devsirme was for elite personnel of Janissary and administrative posts. Of course, I am not defending slavery here. But slavery ended in late 19th century all over the world. You are evaluating the history with today's values which does not make sense at all. Men used organized religious orders for their interest. That is correct. But this is not organized religious orders' fault, this is crime of men. I do not need to start a thread about Ottoman Empire history. The reason is simple: When I look to Ottoman history, I see humanity. When I look to Western world history, I see destruction. If you want to start a thread about Western World (EU & USA) history and the evil practices, you are free. Just two examples for you. The Jews of Spain escaped from Inquisition court, because they were threatened to accept Christianity first and burned at a stake. In 1492, Jews of Spain come to Istanbul, Ottoman Empire. They were welcomed, and the existing Jewish community hosted them. A second example, starting from 1400s to end of 1600s there were a witch hunt in Europe and America. Tens of thousands of women were burned blaming they were witch. The mentally ill people who are treated by psychiatrists today (paranoids, schizophrenics, etc.) were also burned because they were thought to be slaves of demons. In Ottoman Empire, in the same era, these mentally ill people were treated with classical Turkish music in special hospitals. If you want to see humanity, read our history. I do not agree your diagnosis. I do not agree with your treatment too. I agree with your wish. I have no malice in my heart too. I understood your context very well and gave the necessary reply. I always talk with reference to Wikipedia based facts not emotions. If you read my post you will see the same attitude. If talking about truths is being emotional, then I am emotional (In fact I am not). No objections about your evaluation about the man acting according to power vs. compassion.
  25. "Spirit" - what is it?

Most of the time, they do not have wings. Generally, they are so bright with light, energy (it is called as nur) it is not so easy to describe them if you see one in astral plane.
